That evening, the family went out for dinner. Storm was mumbling happily as her mother carried her to the booth they were going to eat at. The waitress smiled at Storm, as she set up the booster chair. The toddler hid her face in her mother's shirt.

Scully smiled at her daughter and tried to set her in the booster chair. The toddler became upset as her mother tried to let her go. Mulder stood up and helped his wife.

"Stormy, you need to behave," Mulder scolded as he sat down. Storm looked up at her mother and whined unhappily. Scully gave her daughter a look as she sat next to her.

"You need to listen to your Daddy," Scully scolded softly. Storm mumbled sadly and nodded. Scully smiled and gave Storm some crayons and tried to color with her.

After dinner, Storm was hugging onto her father as he carried his daughter around the grocery store. Mulder was trying to help his wife pick out a few groceries. Scully looked up at her husband and smiled.

"Hey, do you think our baby would like this?" Mulder asked his wife as he handed her a box of crackers. Scully looked over the box and nodded. Mulder grinned happily.

"Dada," Storm whined. The toddler was obviously getting tired. Mulder smiled at his daughter.

"We're almost done Stormy. I promise," the older man softly spoke to his daughter. Storm nodded and laid on her father. Mulder loved on his daughter and kept following his wife.

As they were checking out, Scully looked over at her husband and daughter. Storm was fast asleep. The woman smiled and brushed her daughter's hair out of her eyes.

"I guess her nap wasn't long enough for her today," Mulder laughed softly, so he wouldn't wake his daughter. Scully nodded and paid for the groceries.

At home Mulder was laying his daughter in her bed. Storm whined softly but remained asleep. The older man set his daughter's fox in her arms and covered her up with a blanket. Scully appeared in the room soon after.

"She's so cute," Scully smiled. Mulder looked up at his wife and nodded. The toddler mumbled and hugged her fox close to her.

"Yeah she is. Come on. I don't want to wake her," Mulder spoke softly. Scully nodded and followed after her husband as they left the room.

In the middle of the night, Storm woke up suddenly. The toddler whined and rubbed her eyes. Storm looked around to see what woke her up.

When the toddler couldn't figure out what woke her, she hugged her fox close to her and tried to go back to sleep. Suddenly Storm heard something tapping on the window.

The child looked up at the window and whined unhappily. A dark human figure was standing at the window watching the toddler. Storm soon became uneasy and started to cry loudly.

"Stormy what's wrong?" Scully asked as she entered her daughter's room a few moments later. Storm reached up for her mother crying. The older woman picked up her child and held her close.

"Shh, shh, I'm right here," Scully spoke softly as she rocked her daughter. The older woman picked up her daughter's fox and gave it to her.

"Why are you crying sweetheart?" Scully asked as she loved on Storm. The toddler hugged her toy close to her and started to calm down. Scully smiled, carried Storm to the bathroom, and refilled her sippy cup with water.

"Here you go Storm," the older woman spoke softly as she gave her daughter the cup. Storm held the cup with her fox and laid on her mother. Scully then returned to her daughter's bedroom.

As soon as Scully tried to lay Storm back down, the toddler started to throw a fit. The older woman sighed and picked her daughter back up.

"Tell Mommy what's wrong," Scully said firmly to her daughter. Storm laid on her mother and looked at her fox. The woman kissed on her daughter and asked her again.

Storm mumbled unhappily and pointed at the window. Scully looked up at the window and sighed. The toddler rubbed her eyes.

"There is nothing there sweetheart. Mommy is going to lay down with you until you sleep okay?" Scully asked. Storm nodded and started drinking on her water.

The woman smiled and laid her daughter in the bed and quickly covered her up. Storm whined until her mother laid down with her. Scully smiled, climbed into bed and held her daughter close. Soon Storm was fast asleep.

The next morning, Storm woke up suddenly. She looked around and saw her mother was gone. The toddler rubbed her eyes and slowly climbed off her bed.

The toddler slowly waddled out of her room and hugged her fox close to her. When she got to the hallway, she listened for her parents. Mulder and Scully were downstairs in the kitchen talking.

Storm walked the down the hallway, slowly walked down the stairs, and walked into the kitchen. Scully saw her daughter and smiled. The toddler saw her parents and reached up for them. The woman picked up her daughter and held her close.

"Morning Storm," Scully looked at her daughter and smiled. The toddler laid on her mother and mumbled happily. Mulder smiled at his wife.

"Do you want to change and dress her? Breakfast should be ready by the time you get back," Mulder asked his wife. The woman nodded, kissed her husband, then left the room with her daughter.

"Mama," Storm mumbled happily as her mother took her back up to her bedroom. Scully smiled at her daughter and kissed her. The toddler smiled and giggled.

"Did you sleep well baby?" Scully asked as she laid her daughter down on the floor. Storm nodded and held up her fox. Scully smiled as she removed her daughter's clothes and diaper.

"Yes Stormy. That is your fox," Scully smiled. Storm mumbled happily. The stuffed fox was her favorite toy. Scully got it for their daughter, as a joke towards her husband, but she never expected her daughter to become so attached to the stuffed toy.

"Mama done," Storm whined as her mother started to redress her. Scully shushed the toddler and finished dressing her. Storm whined unhappily again.

"You are fine," Scully spoke softly as she picked up her daughter. The toddler quickly hugged onto her mother and mumbled happily. The older woman smiled at her daughter and took her downstairs.

"Aww look at her," Mulder grinned when he saw his daughter. Scully smiled at her husband before she set her daughter down in her booster chair.

"Mama," the toddler whined unhappily. Scully shushed her daughter and gave her some eggs and toast. The toddler grabbed onto her toast and started to eat it.

"Hey, let me see your fox. You can get him back after breakfast. Okay Storm?" Mulder spoke softly as he gently removed his daughter's stuffed fox from her arms. Storm mumbled unhappily but kept eating her food.

After breakfast, the family was outside in their yard. Mulder was working on the lawn mower while Scully tried to play with her daughter. Storm kept hugging her fox close to her as she watched her father.

The older woman smiled at her child and loved on her. Storm looked up at her mother and whined. Mulder looked over at his family and laughed softly.

"Mama," Storm mumbled at her mother as she pointed at some construction workers working on the road next to their house. Scully smiled at her daughter.

"They're working on the road sweetheart. That way we can drive on it without it being bumpy," Scully explained. Storm shook her head. She was obviously uncomfortable.

"What's wrong Stormy?" Mulder asked as he approached his daughter. Storm reached up for her father. Mulder smiled.

"No Storm. I'm dirty. I can't hold you right now. I'm sorry," Mulder explained. Storm looked up at her mother ready to cry. Scully shushed her daughter.

"Calm down. You are fine," Scully tried to explain. Storm whined again. The older woman smiled and brushed her daughter's hair out of her eyes. The toddler grabbed onto her mother's hand and held it.

"No," Storm cried unhappily. Scully kissed on her daughter and set her in her lap. Storm rubbed her eyes and looked up at her mother. Scully snuggled on her toddler. The toddler tried to yawn.

"No Storm. It's not nap time. Don't lie to me," Scully scolded. Storm cried again and pointed at the construction workers again.

"Scully, ask her to make a choice between playing outside and something she hates," Mulder suggested. Scully nodded and looked at their daughter.

"Stormy, do you want to take a bath or do you want to play outside?" Scully asked as she looked at the toddler. Storm looked up at her mother.

"Bath Mama," Storm replied. Scully looked over at her husband with surprise. Mulder looked at Storm.

"Are you sure Storm?" Mulder asked. Storm nodded and pulled on her mother's clothing. Mulder shrugged and kept working on the lawn mower.

"Well okay. I guess I'm going to give Storm a bath," Scully said to her husband. Mulder nodded as his wife took their daughter inside. As soon as Scully shut the door behind her, Storm started to calm down.

"Mama," Storm mumbled as she looked up at her mother. Scully smiled and kissed on her daughter.

"Bad man," the toddler mumbled. Scully looked at her daughter. Storm was visibly upset, but she wasn't anxious.

"Stormy, you're fine. There was no one outside other than Daddy and myself," Scully explained. Storm shook her head.

"Workers," Storm mumbled. Scully snuggled on her daughter and smiled. The toddler grabbed onto her mother's hair.

"Stormy. They were working on the road. They don't even know you," Scully explained. Storm whined and looked at her mother.

"You pretty," the toddler mumbled. Scully kissed on her daughter again. Storm replied with happy noises. The older woman smiled.

"I love you sweetheart," Scully told her daughter happily. Storm snuggled on her mother as Scully took her upstairs.

After Storm's bath Scully was making lunch, while Mulder washed up. Storm was playing in the living room with her penguin and fox. Suddenly Storm heard a knock on the window.

The child looked up and saw an older man in a dark suit standing there. Storm mumbled unhappily and looked around for her parents. The man gently tapped on the glass again and motioned Storm to come to him.

The toddler shook her head and held her fox close to her. The man smiled and showed Storm a new stuffed animal. Storm became curious and slowly stood up.

"Hey kiddo. Lunch is ready," Mulder said as he suddenly walked into the room. Storm mumbled and pointed at the window. The older man looked over at the window and smiled.

"We can play outside after lunch. I'm done fixing the lawn mower so I'll play with you now," Mulder smiled as he picked up his child. Storm hugged onto her father as he walked into the kitchen for lunch.
