The following Thursday, Amelia and Dwyer didn't have any customers.
"Is there going to be any customers, Dwyer?", she sighed, wiping off a table.
"Probably not. I'm gonna go home. With this much traffic, I'm betting you can handle the rest, right?", Dwyer yawned.
"Yeah I can. Just make sure you don't forget anything, okay?"
"Okay, see you later." Dwyer walked out the door and yawned again.
"I guess no-one is here. I might as well clean everything up and close early."
Amelia had a big hobby of singing. She thought she sounded horrible, so she never sang in front of people. Her mother and father always told her that she had a beautiful voice though.
Four hours later…
"Almost done...maybe I could sing a song. That always makes me feel better."
Amelia started to sing a song that always played on the radio channel that she listened to. (Play Diamonds by Rihanna)
What she didn't know is that during her singing, a certain group of popular guys came in and were listening…
Time skip brought to you by Laslow's excessive flirting…
When she was finished, Odin announced that the five were there. "Good evening, miss! We are here to purchase some of your heavenly drinks!"
Amelia had sat on the counter during her singing. She slid off of the counter and smiled, "I don't think they are heavenly, but thank you for the compliment."
"Is it sanitary to sit on the counter?", Niles snarkily asked. Pink tinted the girl's face. "Sorry, just out of habit. I can clean it right away.", she replied, running to the back to gather the cleaner and dish towel.
"Look what you've done to the poor girl, Niles.", Laslow sighed.
When she had finished cleaning, she walked up to the counter and took their orders.
The whole time, Odin was making jokes and talking funny. Amelia was giggling the entire time. "Ok, is that all?", she chirped.
"Ah, yes I believe so. Thank you very much.", Xander replied, pulling out his wallet.
"Wait, let me pay for it!", Odin exclaimed.
"No, Odin I can do it.", Laslow interjected.
"Ah, I can pitch in here. No need.", Niles said. By then the whole group was arguing. She sighed, her pink bun bobbing on her head.
"You don't need to pay. I can do it. Think of it as a treat for being so kind!", she interjected, smiling wide. The five stopped talking and snapped their attention to the girl smiling like a crazy person.
Laslow shook his head, "Ladies shouldn't have to pay for things." She put her own cash into the cash register.
"Done! Now take a seat and I'll get your drinks."
The five sighed and thanked the smiley girl. They loudly took a seat at a large table in the cafe. "Do you think we should tell her that we heard her singing?", Odin asked the rest.
"No. That would end badly. She already paid for the drinks, so let's not.", Leo stated, shaking his head.
"Here you go! Thank you so much for coming. We close in an hour, just to let you know.", she chirped.
"Also, do you mind if I sit with you all?", she added.
"Not at all.", Laslow replied, smiling.
"Yay! I'll be back with my drink."
When she returned, she had in her small hands an oreo milkshake. "That looks good. Can I have a sip?", Niles teased. She shook her head very seriously. "I'm sorry, but not now."
"Why not?" Leo elbowed him. She smiled,
"Right now me and my mom doesn't have that kind of money. This is my dinner for tonight, so. Sorry if I offended you.", she explained, looking worried.
Leo shook his head, "Don't worry. Niles can be a big jerk. You don't need to share anything with us if you do not wish."
She smiled, "Thanks for understanding."
When the five left she smiled and closed up shop. Xander had mentioned that they were going to go to the Valilite high school.
