Chapter Two : Journey

Three days after the incident…

All fairy tail members gathered at cathedral wearing all black suit and dress to pay a respect and say thanks along with goodbye to their beloved fire dragon slayer that saved them from the incident. They cried from sorrow and sadness. Master and member of team Natsu are felt more loss than any other member.

Along with them, all members that participated in grand magic tournaments and some members of the magic council are also present. Even though they are rival at the tournament but they also respect the courage and the power of the man that saved them all. The magic council also felt the same way. Even though Natsu are famous for destroying town whenever he goes on mission, but they also have a debt to him.

Master Makarov then began his speech in tears. "Today we're here to pay our respect and say goodbye to our beloved friend, brother, comrade, family, son. Natsu Dragneel… He is an idiot but when the time comes he can became very reliable. He is like a fire that brought warmth for the family but also brought destruction for those who threatened his friends. He never gave up and fought bravely to the end to protect the others. He is a very important friend of ours. He is like my other grandson. No one can replace him".

After master Makarov finished his speech, one member of the Magic council began to spoke. "In honor of Natsu Dragneel who died in protecting this country, we magic council agree to give him a honorable title of saint wizard".

With that last word from the magic council, one by one everybody began to say their word of respect and leave that place. Unknown to them, somebody is watching them from afar in the shadow.

One week after Natsu's funeral….

Somehow, fairy tail manages to return to their old self. Happy-go-lucky guild. Many new members join the guild and the guilds are livelier. As if their sorrow and sadness from last week are gone. But apparently not all member felt the same way. Gray and Gajeel still felt the loss of their comrade. Both of them sat on the corner of the guild.

This guild feels different if the flame brain is not around.. Said Gray softly. "yeah, when salamander gone I can't pick up a fight and another member are too weak to test my strength" Gajeel said. "heeee, you look so confident, want to go at it? Gray asked. "Nope, I lost my interest, my only rival is salamander. Don't you feel the same way? Gajeel asked. Gray nodded in silent.

Meanwhile in the bar Juvia sat there with a depressed face. "What's up, Juvia? You look so depressed" Mirajane asked. "Oh, it's nothing Mira-san. Come on, you can tell me what's bothering you?. "It's just.. Lately Gray-sama and Gajeel-kun seems so different. They're not like their old self. They're not even responding when the other member insult the or asked them to join the fight" Juvia said softly.

When Juvia finished her sentence, Erza came to guild along with the member of Crime Sorciere with a very happy place. They walked together to the bar. "What Happened Erza? You look very happy". Mira asked. "Ooh, today Magic Council has just set Crime Sorciere free from all guilty because their help in the incident and now they want to visit Fairy Tail officially". Erza said in a very happy tone. "Well, good for you then. And welcome to fairy Tail for you guys" Mira said. "Thanks Mira-san" Jellall said.

"Well, we have to celebrate it. Everyone we are going to make a party to welcome our guest" Erza yelled and everybody began to prepare for the party. "Where do you think you are going Gray? Erza asked in unpleasant tone. "I'm going to train" Gray said. "Your train can wait, we must celebrate this now!" rather irritated. "you guys can do whatever you want, but i don't have the mood and time to celebrate anything now". Gray said in a low tone. "What? Erza said with angry tone while grabbing Gray's collar. "like I said, i don't have time to celebrate, I need to train more. I'm still weak. I'm gonna train till i drop, so i will be able to protect my friend. I don't want to lose anyone again. I already lose a teacher and my rival as well as my best friend, i can't afford to let it happen again! In fact, I'm surprised to see you gus can be so relax" Gray said and walk away". "Wait!" Gajeel said "I'm going too. I don't want to lost to those guys". And then those two left to train leaving everyone in silence.

Training ground in the forest..

Gray and Gajeel train until night. They were very tired so they decided to take a rest. They still have a sad expression. They both so drown in their thought that they don't realize a person walk to them from the trees. "What with that look? You two totally looks like a piece scrap of steel and melting ice cream. Hahahahahahaha" Gray and Gajeel become alert and jumping backward. "Who are you bastard?" they asked in irritated tone. When that person stand before them, they can't hide their happy feelings. Their rival and best friend that they thought has dead standing right in front of them. "Natsu" they both said in unison and then kick him him without mercy. "why the hell you guy did that for? Natsu asked. "take that as punishment for deceiving us with your death" Gray said. "Let's go back to the guild. Everybody would be verry happy to see you alive". Gajeel said. "i'm sorry but i can't. For now.." natsu said with a low tone. "why?'' Gray asked. "I'm going to explain it quickly to both of you so listen carefully"

10 minutes later..

After hearing Natsu's explanation they both understand Natsu's plan. "To make it short, you must defeat Zeref and Acnologia, and for that you need to train and traveling the world to be able to control you power. Gray said. "Yes, that's why i need you two to come with me so we can travel the world together. You guys will get stronger too" Natsu said."If it's gonna make me stronger then i have no complain. I have to pay those guys back for what they've done. But first we have tell master. And I don't want to bring Lily too" Gajell said. "Of course, i also plan to bring Happy in this journey. "Ok. Then let's go to master.

In Master's Officce

Those three arrive at Master Makarov office at midnight. When they got there not only master but Happy is also there. After that they explain their plan to master while Happy go to find Lily. "So that's how it is" Master said. "Yes" those three said in unison. "How long this journey will take?" Master asked. "I don't know exactly but i think it wil take six or seven years". "Ok, then. Good luck my children. I pray for your safety" master said and then they left.

After that Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, Happy and Lily begin their journey. "Then, what should we do now?" Gray asked. "From now on we'll be traveling the world, find for ancient ruin and dragon ruin, discover their secret and gain power. And also training of course". Natsu said. "then what are we waiting for? Let's go. Gajeel said. "Yooooosh, I'm getting all fired up" Natsu yelled.

With that, their long journey began...
