A/N: This chapter like the first one is rewritten. This chapter was the most rushed out of the two. I hope you like this version better then the last! Please Review!
Hannah had only gotten about 3 hours of sleep the night before. It caused her to have a hard time getting up the next morning. She did the usual avoiding of her mother and siblings, before heading to school. She spent the walk to school thinking about the strange high schoolers from yesterday. The one who stood out most to her was the first one to sit down, with dirty blonde hair. He made her feel safe, and wanted. He was hers. That thought made Hannah stop in her tracks. Hers? Oh crap… He was her mate! But, did he know? Not like she was going to ask. She was startled to find that the very teens she had been thinking about were waiting for her a block from school.
Her mate was the first to notice her, and a large smile appeared on his face when he saw her. This made Hannah's eyes widen, but she gave a small smile anyway. It was looking like he may know… She would have to make sure. By the time she got to them they were all staring at her, making her slightly uncomfortable. She stopped in front of them.
"Why were you waiting here for me?" The blonde girl who seemed to be a little uppity smiled at her before answering.
"We want to be your friends. What's your name?" The girl debated for a moment. It would be a good way to get know her mate and his family. Finally coming to a decision, she smiled and answered.
"Hannah. What about you guys?" The other girl, who had dark styled hair and reminded her of a fairy or pixie bounced over to her with a grin. Wonderful, a hyper some weird creature. That was another thing! They smelled not human.
"My name is Alice, my boyfriend here is Edward. The girl you were talking to was Rosalie, and the big guy is her boyfriend Emmet. And last but not least is Jasper." She grinned at them, or more her mate, now dubbed Jasper. She loved his name. She would call him Jazz!
"Nice to meet you!" She said cheerily. She started to walk away, making them thinking she had been joking about being friends with them until she turned and looked at them. She raised an eyebrow at them. "You coming or what?" She asked before she started walking again. They all grinned and easily caught up with her. Once they got to school they parted ways and agreed to meet for lunch at the table from yesterday.
Hannah was again the first at the table. She waited for her friends, still wondering what they were. They definitely weren't human. And they aren't mutants. She didn't get far with her train of thought before Jasper sat down next to her. She smiled up at him, before pulling out her meager jelly sandwich. Jasper frowned at her lunch.
"Is that all you have?" She seemed to freeze at the question, before nodding slightly. Jasper pushed his food tray over to her. She looked at him bewildered.
"I can't..." He cut her off.
"Yes you can and you will. Understood?" He asked, giving her a look that she knew she couldn't argue with. She nodded her head and grabbed the burger off the tray, taking a large bite out of it. He cared. That made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Scratch Jazz. She'd just call him melleth nin. Yeah. That felt right. The other four walked up in just as she was finishing that thought. Rosalie sitting on the other side of Hannah. She noticed her brother didn't have a tray in front of him.
"Jasper? Where's your lunch?" Hannah held up the burger, before taking another bite out of it. Edward supplied them with the story of how Hannah now had Jasper's lunch. Alice looked angry.
"Your parents gave you a sandwich? That's it?" Hannah looked at her for a moment, making all see just how old she was. She was years older than she should look. Then she just shrugged, and the look left her and her face went blank. Then her eyes seemed to brighten as she set down the burger and looked at all of them. That kinda had them wary.
"Okay, so what are you guys anyway? Because you aren't human. You don't smell right." The others looked a little startled at first but Emmet opened his big mouth and retorted.
"Neither do you." Hannah just snorted. Duh. Like she didn't already realize that.
"Yeah, believe me I know. I have heightened senses, I can grow claws at will, though sometimes they grow on their own, I have fangs, a thing for raw meat, and run on all fours. I'm a mutant of some sort. You smell like nothing I've ever come across. So what are you?" They stayed silent. She sighed. "I won't tell anyone. It's not my secret to tell. Besides, I trusted you with mine. Though I have my reasons for that." She said, shooting Jasper a quick glance before looking at all of them expectantly. They looked at each other and then Alice spoke up.
"I've seen it. She finds out. And Carlisle and Esme will get over it." She said smiling. Jasper sighed then looked to Hannah who was watching him intently.
"We are vampires. But we drink animal blood." They all looked at her in apprehension. She just smiled.
"Cool!" They looked at her in disbelief.
"Cool? You are one weird chick." Emmet laughed out. She just shrugged. Something she had not noticed is she kept leaning closer to Jasper as they talked. Neither did Jasper. But the rest of them did. They found it adorable. Just as she was about to say something else, the bell rang. She started to get up when Jasper slid a piece of paper over to her.
"Call us if you need anything this weekend. Alright?" He said, afraid of not seeing her over the weekend. She smiled and laughed slightly. The warm and fuzzy feeling was back.
"Alright, meleth nin. We will see what happens." She looked the rest of them.
"Have a good weekend mellon nins!" She said, before walking away. Jasper looked at his siblings in confusion.
"What did she call us?" The others just shrugged before leaving the lunchroom as well. Jasper however couldn't get that phrase out of his head. He had heard or read it somewhere. Both of them. He just had to Google them.
