Chapter 2:Explanations
Sam and Tucker carried Danny upstairs in his room and laid him gently on the waited a full hour for him to wake silence ensued.
"Welcome back,buddy."
"Okay Shadowgirl,spill."
"Sam,please,not so head's about to explode."
"Sorry Danny."
The reaper girl put her scythe down on a chair and started walking around the room,her black ruffled dress swaying with every step and her heels clicking audibly on the wooden floor.
"Sorry for the all the movement but I can't talk very well if I'm standing still,I know this whole situation is confusing,frankly I don't get it myself.I am the Grim reaper but I prefer Raven,sounds friendlier and fits in with the theme.I was sent here to ensure you don't get into trouble."
The trio looked at each other, exchanging confused looks and whispered for a good 5 minutes before Raven's patience ran out.
"Guys,would you mind stopping the whispers?"
"Sorry but we're not sure we can trust you."
"No worries,Sam.I get it,no one likes death."
"Who sent you?"Tucker asked,fixing his glasses which were broken by the energy surge in the lab.
"Deep in the Ghost zone resides a spirit named Clockwork,overseer of didn't give me many details but did tell me this is something unique that only I can me,when old man Clock asks for a favor,you now it's wants me to teach Danny about his new ghostly powers."
"Back down a ?"
"The mirror doesn't lie and neither do I."Raven said, lifting the boy's chin with her hand."You've never had ghost abilities before and I never played the role of a mentor but we can make it work if we learn to trust each other."
"Well can my first lesson be on how to look normal?"
"Close your eyes,take deep breaths and just let the energy flow."
Unsure at first,he eventually closed his eyes shut and took deep breaths,the darkness soon turned to flashing images of various creatures and humans,visions of battles yet to come,followed by the feeling of and Tucker stared in amazement as rings of glowing energy surrounded the half-ghost's body as he shifted back to his normal look.
"Wow,can't believe that worked."the reaper stated bluntly,earning funny looks from the trio.
"Seriously?"Sam asked incredulously.
"Give me a break.I'm a mess,this story's a mess and a being that's both ghost and human at the same time is something someone usually hears as graveyard gossip or cartoons."
A/N:Sorry this chapter is mostly dialogue, that's kind of a problem for me. I'm new to the whole fan fiction thing. I have read fanfics before but I never thought of writing it until recently.
