Rin was sitting on the ground with tears spilling out of her eyes. Jaken had left her alone while he was supposed to be watching her, and Sesshoumaru was far away attending to important matters––leaving her completely defenseless. She had been searching for Jaken, but she managed to twist her ankle, and, due to the swelling and pain, she was unable to thought, "Jaken! Where are you?!" The tears trailing down her face, Rin began to look around herself again. Fear began to take a grip on the small child's heart as she heard steps moving quickly in her direction. She began searching for a place to hide, but she quickly noted that the only safe place around her would be in a tree, and, with her injury, Rin could not manage to climb a tree. Disturbed from her thoughts, Rin's eyes widened at the sight of a great boar bursting through the bushes. An involuntary shiver raced down her spine as it stared at her, and she could see the unnatural hunger that shone brightly through its blood-red eyes.
