Now I may or may not have written a few chapters in advance, so be weary of the first few before they may or may not get better.

Thank you for the reviews that I have received, some were saying that this is quiet deep/tense. I never really intended it to be it just came and I wrote how I saw it.

Another review which came from CajunBear73 asks about the tracker in Astrid's car. Well I'll will reveal the reason behind it in the later chapters.

Chapter 2 The Answer

Back to the present

"I know they might not like what we have done, but it doesn't mean they won't be happy to see us again" Astrid says in a hopeful tone. "I know, I know but they may only like us because of what we have" Hiccup says with a sigh.

"You may be right, but you may be wrong. They might be happy of what we accomplished" Astrid says with a smile then she kisses Hiccup on the check then returns her head on his shoulder.

Hiccup looks over to the fire then back down at his wife, then at the fire again. "You may be right, how about we ask the kids in the morning and see what they want to do" Hiccup says looking down at his wife and she looks at him with a smirk on her face, knowing she won another discussion with him.

The next morning

"Morning milady" Hiccup says in a cheerful tone as he sees Astrid walk into their kitchen, she glances over to him and a smile creeps on her face.

"Morning babe" Astrid says in a cheery tone. She then grabs a seat along the bench as Hiccup serves her bacon and eggs with orange juice.

"So what do you say, ask the kids when they get here if they want to go" Just as soon as Astrid finishes her sentence both kids say in unison "Go where?".

Hiccup looks at Astrid then back at the kids "Bryan, Maria how would you like to finally see where me and mom grew up? As well as see your grandparents?" He says, the kids looked at Hiccup and Astrid then at each other before Bryan pipes up "I would like to see it dad and see our grandparents too" "well I think we know what were are doing then" Astrid says as Hiccup nods and lets out a small laugh.

"Guess we should get packing because I want to leave in a few days then, make sure to pack some clothes for a while, we might be staying for a little bit" Hiccup says as he grabs a serving of bacon and eggs for himself, Bryan and Maria.

2 days after that morning

"Did you make sure you grabbed my teddy mommy?" Maria looks up to Astrid with her bright blue eyes. "I sure did princess, mommy knows you can't sleep without it" Astrid says with a smile, as she bends down to pick up Maria and put her in their Mazda CX-9 car.

Toothless comes bouncing over to his owner and Hiccup and Bryan loath him in belly rubs and scratches. "Alright milady, all bags accounted for and so are the children" Hiccup says with a chuckle as he puts Toothless in the back.

He then sees Astrid about to get in the driver's seat "Hold on Astrid, you're not driving I am" Astrid turns to him "Why?" she says bluntly. "Well remember the last time you drove?"

Flashback

In an abandoned plot with a second hand car Hiccup had brought Astrid. "Alright Astrid what you want to do is ease onto the accelerator" Hiccup says as Astrid nods. She then lightly touches it she then smiles, all of a sudden a small animal runs past and Astrid freaks and plants her foot down.

"Astrid take your foot of the accelerator, for the love of Thor!" Hiccup practically yells as Astrid then registers and begins to take her foot. "I'm sorry Hiccup" she says in a defeated tone. "It's fine Astrid, you just need more practice, I'm sorry I yelled" Hiccup sighs.

Flashback over

"But that was only last week and I have had some practice" Astrid says as she stares at Hiccup and all he could do was hope he didn't become mincemeat, though he knew Astrid would never do that, he then lets out the breath of air he didn't know he was holding in.

"Yes I know you had practice Astrid, but it is a long drive, so I think it's better and safer if I drive" Hiccup says, Astrid knowing that it is for the better throws him the keys.

"Well hurry up I don't want to be hear till night fall. How will we explain it to the kids if we don't reach Berk and get a holiday house before it gets dark, because we both know that we don't want to stay with our parents." Astrid says and Hiccup knows she is right.

Hiccup knowing that Astrid was right, which wasn't unusual most times, started to get to the car and turn it on, and starting to head out of his driveway heading to the road back to his home town. 'I wonder what they will say about us and I wonder if they will accept us' Hiccup thinks in his head as he drives, but what he didn't know what that Astrid was thinking the same thing.

9 hours later

It is now 4pm, 9 hours since they had left. Berk is within 5 minutes of them. Astrid looks over to Hiccup as he has one hand on the steering wheel and one on the centre console. She then entwines her fingers with his as they continue to look out for the windscreen of their car.

The car ride had been peaceful, no fights from the kids, which was a rare occurrence anyways as they had always loved one another and Bryan would always protect his younger sister.

Bryan and Maria had fallen asleep within the first hour and a half of the journey and Astrid slept a little too as Hiccup drove with his music on and the occasional signing. Astrid would either join in or have a grin on her face listening to Hiccup sign as he would only do it for his family.

As Hiccup pulls into the parking space in front of the real estate that looks after the holiday house they were going to stay in for the next few weeks. Hiccup rolls down the windows in the back as Bryan, Maria and Toothless are still asleep, as him and Astrid turned the car off and got out. Hiccup and Astrid glances up at the sign 'Ruff & Tuff Co.'

They both knew what may be installed for them as they walk in the door the door alarm goes off to let the people inside that someone has come in. Ruffnut not looking up from her computer "Welcome to Ruff and Tuff Co. I'm Ruffnut, how can I help you today" She then looks up at them and she is shocked to who she sees and her mouth drops and it makes an O shape.

"Hiccup…. Astrid… Is that you?!" She practically screams which alerts her brother who is out the back and he comes running to the front desk and he sees why Ruffnut screamed out and his mouth drops as well.

"I can't believe it… you guys are back! Before we do anything Ruff and I just want to say that we are sorry for what happened all those years ago" Tuffnut says.

"Yeah, we never meant for it to explode like it did or anything else…" "And we are very sorry how we treated you back then too" Ruff adds on as they both lower their heads as they avert their gaze from Hiccup and Astrid.
