He was a bit of a Goof, Michael had notice. George had even ran smack into the kitchen door, several times. When when he finally didn't, the door just swung back and hit him in the back. making him yelp as he rubbed the back of his had laid out a plate in front of Michael. "A grilled cheese with pickles freshly cut and fried french fries. That's Maxxie's Idea to add pickles into the grilled cheese, I thought it was just plain silly but surprisingly it's a big lunch time seller. Now what would you like to drink, Coffee? Nah maybe a ice cold cola right? Comin right up!"
Before Michael could answer, George was already moving. He pulled an cola out from the freezer box and came back. He was having a hard time opening the bottle. each time he tried he ended up shaking it. Max or Maxxie, George's son just sat at the end of the bar, close to the jukebox and the behind the counter entrance. He watched his dad and shaking his head. The boy looked no more than 12 maybe even 13. He didn't look much like his dad, they shared the same nose and tooth gap.
Michael squirted a glob of ketchup on his french fries pretending not to notice George was still struggling to pop the lip off the cola bottle"Dad if you shake it, it'll explode."Maxxie warned his father
"Oh don't worry Max, I didn't shake it up one bit." George smiled over at his son before finally getting the bottle cap to pop off, hitting him right in the chin followed by the cola to spill and foam over. "Gawrsh, i could of sworn I didn't shake it.." George's son only shook his head and jumped down from his seat and walked to the kitchen back. Coming back with a mop and a new cola bottle the lid popped off.
"Here you go." Max set the soda in front of Michael before cleaning up the messed his father made.
"Thanks Maxxie don't know what I'd do without cha." George smiled and ruffled his son's hair. "So Michael, how was your train ride? Hope it was an good experience for ya."
"Oh yes, it was fine." He smiled kindly
"Well, good. I didn't expect ya till later though, but everything is ready for ya upstairs!"
"Thank-you. I really appreciate it," Michael smiled then looked at Max "And the pickles inside the sandwich was a really good idea." Max smiled proudly before going to put the mop away. George smiled at his son.
