"Mom. He's not serious is he? He was just puling my leg right," I asked hoping to get the answer I wanted.
"Molli, I'm afraid he's right. You are indeed part dog," miss Wakeman replied. I bolted upstairs and lay face down on my bed softly crying myself to sleep. I wished this day had never happened. So much for being a normal teenager. Dr. Mo- uh dad ruined everything, let alone any chance of even becoming a normal teenager.
"Molli are you awake?" I jolted awake as miss Wakeman entered my room. I really wanted to be alone yet I also thought it would be a good idea to see my dad and brother, maybe even spend a few nights with them.
"Mom I was thinking, I'd like to go see my daddy," I said finally saying something.
"You will do nothing of the sort. I don't want you around him or even his creations," miss Wakeman said.
"He's my dad. You shouldn't be able to tell me that I can and can't go see him. Same goes for my brother," I nearly shouted back.
"You're not 18 yet so I can actually tell you what you can and can't do," Miss Wakeman said. Well, she had me there. I lay down on my bed and whimpered. After miss Wakeman left, I sat up on my bed and just hollowed like crazy. This wasn't a free and/or triumphant howl. This was a howl of sadness. The howl rang out through the house. I made it rise and lower in pitches. This was horrible. Oh now I was being treated like a dog. Locked up in the house, if I wouldn't been so obedient, I probably would have been chained. Wait, obedient? Now even I was started to talk about myself in dog terms. That's when miss Wakeman did come up and tie me to the bed. I spoke too soon
