Chapter 2:
Midnight Observer
"Ichigo. Where are you going?" Asked his father.
"I forgot to buy something for school." Ichigo said as he ran out the door with a stuffed lion in his hand.
"Ichigo? Where are you taking me?" The lion asked.
"I need the soul candy out of you. There's something I want to check out." Ichigo said as he ran towards Kara's house.
"What do you need to check out?"
"I want to try and sneak into one of my friend's dreams. To see if I can see how they lost their parents." Ichigo said.
"Your going to try and posess a friend?!" The Lion asked in shock.
"I need to do this Kon. She has changed. And I want to know why." Ichigo said back.

Ichigo had arrived at Kara's house. He had snuck into her room with the stuffed lion named Kon.
Ichigo looked and saw she had tears falling out of her eyes.
"Kara." Ichigo had taken the soul candy out of the lion and placed it in his mouth. The next second he had appeared wearing black robes. "Kon don't touch anything. Got it."
"Understood," Kon said in Ichigo's body.
The real Ichigo who was wearing black robes had entered Kara's body.
"I'm surprised he can do that. I didn't think Shinigami had that kind of power." Kon said.

(Kara's dream)
"Kara," Ichigo said as he saw her crying standing over her parents graves.
She looked behind her and saw him.
"Ichigo? How are you in my dream?" Kara asked looking at him as she wiped her eyes.
"You just thought of me just now." Ichigo lied.
"I see." Kara paused then said smiling. "I guess my heart can't deny what's deep inside it." She said as she walked up towards him. She leaned up and whispered, "if only this was real." Then she leaned forward and kissed him.
Ichigo smiled as he said, "some dreams can come true if you desire them hard enough." Then he had disappeared.

(Kara's room)
"What's the matter Ichigo?" Kon asked as he saw Ichigo look a little flustered.
"Nothing. Let's get out of here before she wakes up." Ichigo said putting the soul candy in the lion once again. Then he left Kara's room and went home.

(Ichigo's room)
"Your acting strange Ichigo. What happened in Kara's dream?" Kon asked.
"She kissed me." Ichigo said as he blushed.
"She kissed you?!" Kon said shocked. "Damn you're lucky. She's cute."
"She thinks it was just a dream. She didn't know I was actualy there inside her dream." Ichigo said back. "But now I know."
"Know what?"
"She feels the same towards me as I do her." Ichigo said smiling at Kon. "I won't say anything though. I'll wait until she really wants to tell me."

(Kara's room)
Kara woke up and saw the clock read 1:30 a.m.
"What a nice dream. I wish it could come true. But I know it won't. I can't let it become true. It would hurt Inoue-chan." She said as she felt her lips were warm. "Why are they so warm? It was just a dream. Unless it actually happened. That's impossible for that to happen from a dream."
Kara had gotten up and got a cold glass of juice from the fridge.

Kara had gone back to sleep as she thought about what had happened in her dream.
"What does it mean? Why did Ichigo appear in my dream. Did my heart really wish to see him at that moment? If so. Then why did my lips feel so warm when I had woken up from it?"
"Ichigo. I wish I could tell you how I feel. But I can't. Because it will hurt Inoue-chan. And I don't want that."
Kara had closed her eyes as she had fallen back to sleep.

(the next day)
"Kara! Time to get up!" Sakura yelled upstairs.
"I'm already up and ready!" She yelled back downstairs.
Kara had walked downstairs and saw Sakura setting the table for breakfast.
"Did you sleep well last night? I heard you go downstairs to the kitchen last night."
"Yeah. I just had a weird dream."
"What was it about?"
"I was visiting Mom and Dad. But then Ichigo appeared in my dream." Kara blushed as she said, "I had kissed him."
"Why did you do that?" Sakura asked curious.
"I think it was what my heart desired."
"I told you you liked him." Sakura said smiling.
"But I can't like him. It's not right. Because I'll hurt someone else very deeply if I tell him I liked him." Kara said with her head on her arms as she looked at the ground. Tears fell from her eyes to the floor. "I don't know what to do."
Sakura walked over and hugged Kara. "It'll be okay. You have to let things come along slowly. I'm sure your friend will understand your feelings. Is it the brown haired girl you're afraid of hurting?"
"Yeah. I don't want to hurt Inoue. I know she likes Ichigo alot. I don't want to be in the way of her happiness."
"You better get going to school. You're going to be late if you don't hurry." Sakura said.
"Alright," Kara said going into the restroom to wash her face.
All of a sudden there was a knock on the door.
"Just a second!" Sakura yelled towards the door.
She had gone and opened the door and saw Ichigo, Inoue, Chad, and Ishida in the doorway.
"We came to pick Kara up for school so we could walk together." Ichigo said smiling back.
"Yeah sure. She'll be out of the bathroom in a few minutes. She's brushing her hair right now."
"Okay." Ichigo said back.

Kara had walked to school together with everyone else.
"What did you think of your first day back at school in your hometown?" Inoue asked.
"I was happy to see all of you guys again. I had missed you guys alot. I never thought I'd get to see you guys again." Kara said laughing.
"Yeah. Me too." Inoue said smiling at Kara.
Ichigo looked towards Kara as he had blushed a little remembering last night, "I guess my heart can't deny what's deep inside it. If only this was real."
"Your blushing Kurosaki," Ishida whisperd towards him.
"It's nothing." Ichigo said back as he looked away. "My heart feels the same way." Ichigo whispered to himself.
"Did you say something Kurosaki-kun?" Inoue asked looking back at him.
"No. I didn't." Ichigo said looking at her.
Everyone had arrived at school.

(class 1-3)
"Hey Kara." Tatsuki said walking up to her.
"Hey Tatsuki." Kara said back.
"Hey Kara-chan," said a short brown haired kid running up to her.
Ichigo held his arm out as he said, "she's new at this school, Keigo. Try not to scare her with your flirting."
"Ichigo, you meanie. I was only trying to say hi." Keigo said rubbing his nose.
"'Hi' my ass. Look at where your hands were." Ichigo said.
Keigo looked and saw if Ichigo didn't stop him. His hands would go where they didn't belong.
Kara had laughed a little at how Ichigo handled his friend.

(school roof)
Kara had sat down next to Orihime and Ichigo as they began eating lunch together.
She looked up and saw the sky becoming cloudy. "It looks like it's going to start to cry. I wonder if it's cause my heart is also hurting?"
"Kara are you okay?" Inoue asked.
"What?" Kara paused then said. "Oh yeah. I'm fine. I was just thinking it looked like it was going to rain."
"Yeah it does," Ichigo said getting up. "We better get back inside. Before it starts to rain on us."
Everyone went back inside the school.

The day had seemed to end quickly that day.
The sky was still cloudy. But it hadn't rained yet.
Everyone had gone home.

(Kara's house)
Kara had waited until she was sure everyone had gone home. She wanted to be alone to sort out her feelings.
She had left home and ran down the street towards the picnic area of where she used to go as a child.
Sakura had watched Kara leave and said watching her run down the street. "Becareful Kara." She had then looked towards the sky as it was becoming even cloudier. She hoped her neice would be okay being in the rain.
