Kuroshitsuji: The New One

Chapter 2: Arrival

After my neck stopped hurting, the servants made Charlotte and I breakfast. It was then that it happened.

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK* "I have just arrived. I am the new butler, Nicholas Syre."

I gasped, shocked at what I just heard.

"CHARLOTTE! HIDE IN THE CLOSET!" I half whispered half yelled.

She nodded and silently walked to the closet, hiding herself from the man at the door.

"Is noone home? I guess I must come back tomorrow." The man called "Nicholas" said.

I hastily felt under the table for the hidden dagger that was used for emergencies. Found it! I silently got out of my chair and crept slowly to the door. I quickly opened it and thrust with the blade.

BAM! The next second I was back against the wall, wincing in pain. "What the-?" I stared at the figure before me, a man dressed in black lined with red velvet. His crystal-blue eyes seemed to stare into your soul, sort of relavent considering his "heritage".

"Oh yes, your blade, master." Nicholas said as he handed me the emerald encrusted dagger.

I took it and smiled. "You're just in time for breakfast."

PREVIEW Chapter 3: Interruptions. Charlotte has sudden flourished feelings for Edward while Nicholas protects him for the sake of decency.
