Heavy Metal: Flesh For The Spider Queen Part 1

SEPTEMBER 25, 2016 / DREADPIRATESITE / EDIT

So we had another Dungeons and Dragons session today. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed setting my players up on fantasy adventured turned zombie Apocalypse.

It started off rocky as the quasi-deity player who is attempting to become a demigod has become disruptive for multiple reasons. Not to go to into it but basically built the character wrong either intentionally or unintentionally, made the character way to powerful and basically told me to go to hell when I told him he can't do that. So we decided just not to play with him. If he wants back in he needs to agree to get rewrite the character sheet with our supervision. So he might be back, might not be. In the meantime his character is chilling and having a drink on a beach somewhere.

Meanwhile we have all the old cast plus a deep gnome, another barbarian played by The Rock, and my glorified NPC character which is basically Wolverine if he were Conan.

After celebrating in the town of Dunford after rescuing their children from evil clowns, grandmas, and dinosaurs, the team learns from Thyme the druid that a larger source of the Taint of Evil surges in the south at Dagger Falls. They arrive to find the zombie hordes consuming the town.

They don't know where the zombies are coming from. Some shamble, some run, and they do carry a plague. The party manages carve their way through a good chunk of undead flesh but not before two of the barbarians and the gnome get bitten. They're fine…for now…..

So now the party is dealing with zombie and undead shenanigans which are being caused by the events of City Of Spider Queen but basically with a more severe wave of undead straight up pouring out of the underdark. Irae T'sarran is still working to perfect her Great Revenant spell but before she can conquer the surface world with a perfect undead army of revenants a potent a malignant swarm of infectious Viral Hellspawns from D20 Apcalypse is laying the ground work for her invasion. But the PCs will learn of the drow priestesses machinations and her dark god's plans in time.

Our vampire wizard meanwhile has gained a small group of followers in the form of a group of teenagers who are grateful to him for rescuing their siblings. The joke is they are a bunch of goth vampire groupies complete with a Bella Swan stand in named Kristen who wants him to make her a vampire.

Meanwhile Barbarian Wolverine hails from the world of Tamriel from Elder Scrolls and suddenly finds himself waking up in Toril of Forgotten Realms with no idea how he got here. He also discovers his barbarian rages are far more intense and he almost attacks his comrades. Unbeknownst to him the force that brought him here has transformed him into a Berserk complete with an ability to turn into a werewolf.
