Kairi's POV

That Night

Dear Sora

You won't believe what Riku said today! He said that you were gone! How could he! He's acting like he doesn't care about you at all! But I know that's not true! So why is he acting like this. It's like he's given up on you.

But don't worry. You never gave up on me...so I'm never gonna give up on you.

I'd spent my whole life searching for you. Because...I love you.

Forever yours (and I mean that)

Kairi

It was the middle of the night.

I was standing in front of the ocean with a bottle in my hand.

The letter I wrote was inside the bottle.

I took a deep breath and put the bottle in the water.

I watched as the waves carried the bottle away.

If my letter was able to reach Sora and Riku when they were in the Realm of Darkness...who says it couldn't reach Sora where ever he was? [Kingdom Hearts Extra: Kairi is referring to something that happened at the end of KH2.]

I looked up at the sky...and thought about something Sora had told me when he had just gotten back to Destiny Islands after being away for over a year.

Flashback [Kingdom Hearts Extra: This is set after KH2.]

Sora was sitting by the ocean when I sat down next to him.

"Hey Sora", I greeted.

"Hey", Sora greeted.

"So", I started. "It looks like you're going away again."

Sora sighed sadly.

"I'm so sorry", he apologized. "But my friends need me."

"What about me?"

"Ahhh", Sora said guiltily.

Then...I giggled.

"I'm kidding", I revealed.

"Hey", Sora said. "That's not nice! You made me feel like a jerk!"

"You", I asked. "A jerk? That's not physically possible."

This caused Sora to look at me in shock.

Then...he smiled before looking at the sky.

"Actually", he started. "You're the one who physically can't be a jerk remember? You're a Princess of Heart."

"I don't think I qualify for the 'princess' part", I revealed. "I'm not a princess."

Then...Sora said something that took me by surprise.

"You are to me."

This caused me to look at Sora in shock.

I could feel my face burning up.

"Really?"

"Really."

With that...I smiled.

Then...I put my head on Sora's shoulder.

"Sora", I started. "Please don't take too long to come back to me. Okay?"

"I promise", Sora said. "And if I do end up taking too long...you can always come find me."

I smiled at this.

"Okay."

End of Flashback

I snapped out of my flashback...and clenched my fists.

"What on Earth are you doing Kairi", I asked myself. "Sora needs you! And you're just standing here?"

I then looked out into the ocean.

"Well you know what", I asked myself. "I'm done just sitting around! I'm gonna go out and I'm gonna find Sora!"

Then...I yelled this.

"Sora! I'm going to find you! I promise!"
