Three weeks ago, somewhere in Vacuo.

Sun was fighting for his life, in a dark alley. Where he had been attacked by 7 really muscular men with swords. Sun did a round house kick that sent one of the men sprawling onto the ground, he thought to himself, "out of all of the days, that I left my staff in my room, thinking I did not need it. It just had to be today," As the fighting continued, sun realized that he was now facing 10 men, and one of the men, looked very familiar. He soon recognized the man as Mercury. He had not seen Mercury since the attack on Beacon, and he had always wanted to smash out that smug look on his face. As the fighting continued, it soon became a one on one match between Mercury, and Sun, the other men allowing their boss, some space to fight. unaware to Sun, there was a sniper off in the distance getting ready to take the shot, that would end Sun's life. Mercury had made quick work of Sun's aura, since he was extremely skilled in hand to hand combat, and since Sun normally relied on his collapsible staff for fighting. As Mercury delivered the finale kick that completely took away what remained of Sun's aura, he quickly disappeared into the shadows. Sun began to stand up, but as he stood up a shot rang off in the distance, and that very shot was the one that ended the life of a certain monkey tailed faunus. As Mercury reappeared from the shadows, he took out his scroll and dialed a number. The voice on the other end asked, "Is it done?"

Mercury replied, "yes, what should we do with the body"

"Dump him into the sea. Today, Sun sleeps with the fishes." The mysterious voice replied.

"Consider it done." The grey haired man said.

Somewhere in vale, present

The man stood by a table facing a wall, and on that wall were the pictures of, Team JNPR, and Team RWBY, as well as the pictures of Sun and Neptune. Although the picture of Sun did have a big red x drawn on it. The red haired man grabbed a control remote, and turned on a nearby tv. The tv turned on to the news channel, where a woman with silver har said, "We have just received word that Weiss Schnee, has officially been pronounced dead. She died, because she was shot in the back by an unidentified shooter, she was then moved to the hospital where after a long battle for her life had died of her injuries. The man with bowler hat on said, "two down, eight more to go." after he said this he grabbed a red marker and made a large x on Weiss picture on the wall.

Ruby sitting next to an comatose Weiss, as she watched the news proclaim Weiss to be dead. Ruby started to think about the conversation, she just had with the police. The police explained to Team RWBY that they were going to put all of them under protective custody, as well as telling the news station that Weiss had died from her injuries to make Roman think that he had one less target. Ruby had agreed to this and after that the police officers left Ruby, Yang, and Blake alone. Soon after the police left Yang, and Blake left Ruby as well, because they had decided to go tell, Team JNPR that Weiss was not dead and that the newscaster had said that to try to get Roman off Weiss's back.

Ruby sat alone with Weiss, for many hours, silently crying, but fell asleep holding on to Weiss's hand. For the next four weeks, Ruby had stayed by Weiss's side, she had refused to eat at first, but Yang managed to convince her to start eating a little. Ruby also only went to the bathroom as little as possible not wanting Weiss to wake up alone.

It was the beginning of the fifth week that Weiss had been in a coma, and Ruby who was asleep holding on to Weiss's hand, woke up to the sound of doctors shouting, and multiple people moaning. The scythe wielder, had gone to the door, and asked a running by doctor what was happening. The doctor responded with, "There was an explosion at the police station, and there are dozens dead and even more injured." The doctor had said all of this with out stopping and had turned a corner, before Ruby could question him more. Ruby then returned to her bed, asking herself who could have done this, but she already knew deep down, it had been Roman. Over the next few hours Ruby heard non stop shouting from all the doctors, who were trying to be coordinated on who was taking care of who. When things had finally seemed to calm down, the gun fired started and again shouts could be heard, but this time it did not come from doctors, but the shouts came from the patients asking what was going on. Ruby tried to go out of Weiss's room but was stopped by security personal. She complained saying that she could help, but they would not budge. So she stormed back into her room, and waited. The gun fire seemed to be closer, and after a few minutes she could smell the gun powder. Then she heard the police officers standing by her door start to fire there guns. Bullets started flying through the walls of room, and Ruby got on top of Weiss, acting as a human shield, for her comatose girlfriend. Lucky no bullets hit Ruby nor Weiss, the fight only lasted a few seconds and Ruby asked the cops if they were okay. No answer, she then heard a voice saying, "check that room, the heiress is probably in there."

Ruby thought to herself how do they know that Weiss is alive? Who had... Her thoughts were interrupted by a man, who began to open the door. As soon as the man fully opened the door, he was received with a swift kick between his legs by Ruby. This sent the man to the ground, hard. Ruby proceeded to stomp on his head, knocking him out cold, she then grabbed his gun and fired through the wall of her room, she kept on firing until the guns mag came up empty. She looked outside, to find out that she had killed all seven shooters with her blind shooting. She then returned to Weiss's bed, only to find that Weiss was not there anymore. She looked around the room, spotting Weiss standing in a corner of the room, a look of horror on her face.

Ruby said, "Weiss, your awake! The doctors said that you will probably never wake up, I was so worried." She then ran to Weiss and gave her a tight hug.

Weiss immediately pushed away, before asking with a trembling voice, "wh, who are you"

Ruby could have sworn her heart broke in two in that moment. "Weiss, it's me, Ruby, you know me, I am your, well, girlfriend." Ruby blushed as she said the last part.

Weiss responded, "I don't believe you, prove to me that I know you"

Ruby could only think of one thing that she could do, and she hoped it would work. She grabbed Weiss and pulled her into a kiss, not a passionate kiss, but a kiss that can only be explained, as a promise between two souls, that truly love each other, that they would never leave each others side.

Weiss was about to pull away from the strange girl that had just kissed her, but before she could memories, started to flood in. Memories about team, her friends, and finally Ruby, and her brilliant silver eyes, her short burgundy tipped hair, her childish demeanor, and every thing else she loved about Ruby. She sunk into Ruby's arms and started to kiss her back. Her tongue begging for entry, Ruby opened her mouth and the newly reunited couple's tongues meet and began to dance together. Ruby was so glad that her plan had worked. The kiss then became passionate, and they maked out for a whole minute, before being interrupted by a very worried looking Yang and Blake both of them saying, "we have to leave now!"
