CHAPTER II

I walk instead because there is too much of her in the bus.

I'm reading novels instead of comics because the graphics remind me of her eyes and how they used to sneak a peek to know what Magneto does to Charles.

I don't open the garage anymore, nor do I turn on the ignition of my car. I'm not ready to go in there yet.

But when I open the postcard, I feel every wave of her I so desperately try to avoid in the bus.

When I read the what it says inside, I see her eyes beginning to water.

When I close my eyes, hoping the few seconds of darkness will change her words, I remember her voice saying "Idiot."

Let me go.

I don't want to.

But you have to.

Why?

Because I'm not coming back.
