Title: My Eternity
Chapter 2
Words: 224 (Again, short chapter but trying to get the plot started. Most likely going to add this to chapter 1.)
The entire village of Konoha had gathered to mourn his death.
One of his few surviving friends, Neji Hyuuga, gave a speech about his life. He talked about his hardships of being a jinchuuriki, his time as his comrade in battle, and his life as Hokage; devoted for making the village a better place, for everyone.
The service lasted until the sunset, where the people of Konoha left in a sober mood; all the people that would have shouted in joy of the death of the 'demon' were long dead.
The history books would read that Naruto Uzumaki, the jinchuuriki of the Kyuubi, the retired Rokudaime of Konoha, and most likely the strongest shinobi ever, died in his sleep at the age of 72.
Only three people knew otherwise, and two of them died a long time ago.
The night of the Rokudaime's funeral, a man stood apron the village gates. He looked over the village with such fondness usually reserved for a goddess. The village where he was born, grew up in, blood for, led, and loved.
He would never return.
He would return to the land, but the village, the people, the will of fire, was gone.
His life was gone.
That night, 250 miles from his birth place, he would put his head between his knees and sob like a baby.
I got two reviews and a couple of story alerts, so thanks to anyone who reviewed and/or story alerted. I'll try my best to start having longer chapters now that I got the basic plot down.
So again, tell me what you liked, what you hated, what I spelled wrong, anything, I grow as a writer on the feedback I get.
