Two people who were wearing mauve cloaks approached the entrance of an old-looking building. The (slightly) taller human awkwardly knocked at the door using one of her begauntleted hands. When someone answered, the shorter (but only by three inches, mind you) novakid said, "Good day, fellow xenophobe. We come bearing gifts of carrots... and soda."
The person who had answered the door silently nodded and let the newcomers inside, where there was a large group of about forty humans. Each human was wearing a dark purple cloak, and they were all staring at the newcomers.
The human said, "We would like to join your cult. Is there some kind of entry fee that we have to pay… or something like that?"
All of the cultists shook their heads. "No entry fee needed… ha… ha!" All of the cultists exclaimed in a single wave of happy- and extremely confused- sounding noise.
The cultist who had opened the main door gave each newcomer a name tag and a black permanent marker. The novakid and the human wrote "Nitro F." and "Amity" respectively. They stuck their name tags to their cloaks.
One of the cultists raised his hand. His name tag read 'Maz'. "They have snacks with them."
The rest of the cultists smiled. "Thank you, Maz!"
Nitro dumped the contents of the carrot-and-soda-filled bag onto the floor. "This is an offering for you... friends."
"Thank you Nitro F!" All of the cultists exclaimed at approximately the same time. They seemed to be putting genuine effort into speaking simultaneously, and they also seemed to be doing it pretty well.
Amity spoke again. "So. The weather here has been getting rather snowy, has it-"
Nitro interrupted her. "Excuse me, but may we have some pixels? So many have been stolen from us that we can't afford gleap food anymore! What are we going to feed our poor, hungry gleaps?"
All of the cultists except for Maz, who had left the room, stood up. "This way, friends!" They chimed.
Nitro and Amity followed the cultists to a room which was filled up to the ceiling with piles and piles of voxels and space doubloons.
Both of the newcomers threw their hoods back. Amity, who had pinned her extremely long yellow hair into a manageable clump, ripped the arm off of the nearest cultist. The cultist screamed. Amity began to tear through the crowd with inhuman agility while Nitro gathered large piles of the cultists' riches into his bag.
The ceiling and walls were caked with blood.
Silence filled the building.
Maz exited the bathroom to find that all of the other cultists, as far as he knew, were dead.
"Shit." He said in an equally dead voice. He proceeded to pick his way through all of the viscera and blood.
Maz accidentally stepped on a stray organ and winced. He stopped at the door.
Did he really want to leave?
Of course he did.
He always left afterwards.
Just as Maz was about to leave, the front door suddenly swung open.
The person who had opened the door was Maz's only friend. Her name tag read "Emily".
"Oh, hey Maz. Sorry I'm late, the space traffic was really bad this-" Emily saw the inside of the building. "Oh... oh no..."
