Hey! Good afternoon! To those of you who have followed this story for a +2 years, I'm so, so sorry. I never actually got around to finishing and I apologize. But there's good news! I am revamping this story—that means new characters, new plots, new mysteries.
That also means this story will be moving, or at least, being published under a new name. Thank you, everyone, for reading! Here's an excerpt from the new story.
"The ride, someone turned it on!" Will replies, letting go of Ari. He, too, attempts to get up. He turns around, scrabbling up onto the seat. The ride shifts. Both boys are thrown to the side and onto the floor, landing in a heap against the door. Ari yelps.
"No, really?" Jack shouts. "I didn't notice!"
"Jack, shut up!" Ari snaps, looking up. Both boys are making a mistake-they're grabbing the seats. Not the spinner. Ari grinds her teeth. She stretches her fingertips, reaches up. Her fingers find the edge of the spinner, and she holds on. The teacup jerks to the right and Ari goes with the spinner. But she manages to hold on.
"Ariel, what are you doing?!" Will shouts, concern etched on his face. He's pressed against one wall, palms flat against the door.
"It's Ari!" the girl yells over the wind, over the thunder. The sky cracks. Ari pulls herself up, muscles straining against gravity. But she does it. Up she goes, sliding back onto the seat. "And I'm saving us."
