Hey loyal readers! I'm sure your happy to see that I finally posted chapter 2 of my fluff Fanfinc! I also wanna thank everyone for the great reviews! Makes me feel that what I'm writing is good! ;) Just as an update, I will post chapters on Mondays, Wendsdays, And Friday's, for this particular story! Anyways, Enjoy!

Chapter 2: Keepin' a Secret

It's been one week since Cole adopted Lloyd...

"Come on Dad! I want to leave already!" Lloyd was on Cole's chest tugging on his black T-Shirt.

"Ugh….Lloyd….it's seven in the morning." Cole rubbled the sleepiness out of his eyes.

"I know dad, but you said we were going shopping today!"

Cole sat up and placed Lloyd on his mattress. Cole had gotten Lloyd a temporary mattress, until the new arrives in the mail. He also gotten Lloyd a video game counsel and some video games, new clothes, toys, and candy. "I know son, but the mall doesn't open for another four hours."

Lloyd looked down in disappointment. He then got off the bed and walked over to the mini-fridge that Cole installed, and grabbed a apple juice carton.

Cole chuckled and walked over to Lloyd and lifted him in his arms. "Tell you what, I'll ask Zane to make you breakfast."

Lloyd looked at Cole with confusion. "You've told them?"

"No, but I know Zane, and I'm sure he'll be fine with you." Cole smiled, and Lloyd smiled back. "I'll be right back." Cole put down Lloyd and walked out the room. He went to Zane's room, and checked to see if he was still asleep. "Zane? You awake?"

Zane stretched and sat up. He yawned and rubbed his icy-blue eyes. "Now I am."

Cole walked in and sat on Zane's bed. Which had white sheets, and light blue highlights. The room smelled like peppermint, and there were lights that looked like Arctic lights. "Sorry to wake you up, but we have to talk."

"About?"

Cole chuckled nervously and rubbed the back of his head. "Heh, well, you know better than anyone how it is to be an orphan."

"I'm listening."

"And I went to the orphanage last week, and…"

Zane sighed. "And?"

"I adopted a boy!" Cole burst out, which he thought felt good.

"You what?!"

"I adopted a nine-year old boy named Lloyd. So now he's my son!"

Zane had a lot to process. "Hm….why did you do this without consulting Sensei?"

"I just…um…."

"You have to tell them…."

"Ugh…"

Zane rubbed Cole's back. "Can I see him?"

Cole's eyes lit up with excitement. He grabbed Zane's hand and pulled him out of bed. He then led him to his room, where Lloyd had started playing a video game. Cole bent down and whispered in Lloyd's ear. "Ok Lloyd. I've told Zane about you. He won't hurt you. Think of him as your uncle."

"Ok dad."

Cole led Lloyd to Zane. Zane had raised an eyebrow. He examined Lloyd's every feature: his golden blonde hair, is grassy green eyes, his adorable face.

"Hi. I'm Lloyd."

"Hello, I'm sure your father has told you who I am."

"Hm-mm"

"He's also told me he loves you very much."

Cole jumped in surprise and Zane winked at him. Lloyd smiled and went to hug Zane, and Zane hugged him back.

"Well now that we've all gotten comfortable with each other, Lloyd, why don't you ask Zane what you want."

Lloyd looked at Zane and decided that it was okay. "Um…..can you please make me some breakfast? Please?"

Zane chuckled and stood up. "Now why wouldn't I make breakfast for my new nephew?"

Lloyd felt, loved, for the first time in forever. But then Cole broke him out of thought. "...oyd...Lloyd?"

"Sorry dad. Yes?"

"We have to be quiet because the others are still sleeping." The three tiptoed out of Cole's room, and down the stairs. When they reached the kitchen, Zane quietly took out pans and the ingredients he needed for breakfast. Lloyd smiled with delight.

"Are you excited?" Cole was sitting next to Lloyd on the stools at the kitchen.

"Yes. Very much." Lloyd whispered.

"Good. You know, all the other ninja are

like Zane. They won't hurt you."

Lloyd remained silent. He didn't feel comfortable with telling anyone else about him and his dad. He just wanted to keep it a secret. "Dad, I just think….we should keep it a secret. I just want you and uncle Zane. For now."

Cole was shocked by Lloyd's response, but understood how he felt. "Ok Lloyd. Whatever you need to feel comfortable."

"Thanks."

"Breakfast's done." Zane got a green plate and put the many pancakes he made for Lloyd on it. He also put eggs and bacon. "I hope you like it."

Lloyd put hi fork in the eggs and his eyes went wide.

"Is it bad?"

Lloyd shook his head. "No. This is AMAZING! Mmmmm…"

Zane and Cole looked at each other, and they both had the same thought. This was the start of new memories.
