This drabble is based upon an AU I pondered a while back. The timeline for the drabble is after the second duel with Rudger.

Motionless and still, Yusei lay on the hard ground. The man's silence was broken by ghostly white figures approaching him and murmuring under their breath. He stood upright, confused by the bizarre apparitions. One of them stuck a hand on his face, flooding him with horrifying memories of the Zero Reverse incident, one that he had forced to believe that he was the cause of it.
Yusei screamed in vain, the spirits surrounding him at all sides. But the screams were drowned by laughter and soon, the one who bared the tail was no longer when his irises became inversed.
