Hi everyone I'm back with a new chapter of Chance's, but i suggest you read the first chapter again since the story slightly changed a bit (I SERIOUSLY SUGGEST YOU REREAD THE FIRST CHAPTER OR ELSE THIS CHAPTER WILL NOT MAKE SENSE) Okay so I plan to update a bit more faster than usual since I have this urge to make a fanfiction a bit different from the rest.

Chance 2: Confessions and screw ups
Scourge laughed as Shadow was trying to catch up to him. He sped up some more almost becoming a green blur. Shadow continued to chase down Scourge, he couldn't let the green bastard get away or else his plan would fail.
"Dammit Scourge I swear to god if you don't bring your ass over here!" Shadow yelled, but Scourge ignored him.
"What?" Scourge sneered. "Mad I might take your girl?"
Shadow frowned as before he did a speed dash and powerfully slammed himself into Scourges back as they both crashed through a building. Scourge grabbed his back in pain and nastily glared at Shadow as the black hedgehog's fist quickly connected to his face. Scourge fell on his back and as Shadow looked like he was about to pounce him, Scourge forced his foot up kicking Shadow in the stomach. Scourge lifted himself up and attacked Shadow angrily. They punched and kicked at each other trying to weaken one another but no one seemed to be backing down just yet. Shadow punched Scourge in the stomach blowing him back into a wall.
"Your starting to piss me the hell off Scourge!" Shadow snapped and chased after him. Scourge wiped blood of his mouth and noticed Shadow had become a lot stronger than usual.
"Shit..." Scourge said and began to run again, his running began to pick up powerful speed turning him into a blur again. "Dammit Shadow, your not getting the crown, not before me!"
"You wish your green little bastard!" Shadow growled grabbing him. "You don't know how to use such power anyway."
Shadow threw Scourge into a building, but Scourge grabbed Shadow causing him to be tossed with him as they both crashed into the building painfully causing smoke and debris to fly everywhere. They both groaned in pain, that was a harder throw than they suspected. Scourge was about to get up but realized he couldn't when Shadow slapped something on his neck.
"What the hell?" Scourge said gripping on the strange device but it easily electrocuted him when he tried to pull it off. "What is this thing?"
"A electric collar." Shadow said panting, Scourge had him nearly exhausted chasing him around. "Now your going to comply with my demands or else..."
"Pfft or else what Stripes?" Scourge said in a teasing, but instantly frowned when Shadow grabbed his collar making him get electrocuted again.
"You wont be seeing the sunrise for a long, long time." Shadow said, and Scourge instantly knew what he meant.
"Alright, fine what do you want to know Shaddy boy?" Scourge said standing up stuffing his hands in his jacket pockets.
"First things first, we need to get out of this building, I hear people coming." Shadow said, his ears flickered at the footsteps coming their way. "Then we are going to talk about the crown and your knowledge of its whereabouts."
"Whatever." Scourge said as Shadow grunted before chaos controlling them out before anyone noticed them.

10 minutes before Scourge and Shadow crashed into there school...
Outside was pretty warm today as Amy was sitting by the bench with Cream and Marine at the racing track, either doing homework or texting their other friends. Amy was watching Sonic and his friends Tails and Knuckles race each other. Amy blushed watching him run the fastest out of his friends, but knew she had to go and get Sonic alone if she was going to confess to him. Marine looked at Amy and smirked.
"Ah gonna confess to Sonic eh?" Marine giggled and shoulder bumped Cream from doing her homework. "We are rooting for ya Amy!"
"Don't shy out Amy." Cream said and Amy nodded.
"I wont!" Amy said standing up. "Not this time anyway, today is the day I confess to Sonic!"
Cream and Marine playfully clapped for her as Amy started to walk up to Sonic who was talking with Knuckles and drinking some water. As Amy approached Sonic she took a deep breath and reminded herself she could do this.
"Sonic!" Amy called out a few feet away from him. Sonic noticed her calling him and he immediately ran up to her in a matter of seconds.
"Yah Amy?" Sonic said smiling at her. Amy smiled shyly before scratching the back of her pink quills.
"Um could I talk to you a second...privately?"
Sonic tilted his head confused before shrugging. "Sure thing Ames." Amy smiled at him as he followed her to the back of the school, he was quite curious on why she wanted to talk to him back here, but then again Amy was full of lots of surprises. They had suddenly stopped walking and Amy turned to Sonic with a deep blush on her face.
"Sonic there is something I want to say to you for a long long time." Amy said softly.
"What? Like when we kids?" Sonic said scratching the back of his curiously.
"Yes, Sonic back to when we were kids," Amy giggled. "Look I wanted to say for a long time now I really really lik-
Amy couldn't even finish her words before a loud crash was heard from above them. The two hedgehogs looked up in shock as the school building had somehow exploded and pieces of the building began to break off. Amy stared into the smoke and had suddenly noticed two hedgehogs, one green and the other a familiar black, she squinted her eyes to get a better look but couldn't as Sonic pulled her away from almost getting crushed by the broken pieces of the school building.
"Amy are you okay?!" Sonic said worriedly. Amy could only nod as they both ran away from the danger.
As they ran, the only thoughts that was in Amy's mind was that those two mysterious hedgehogs had just ruined her chance of confessing to Sonic. She gritted her teeth on how much she was angry, she would not take this so lightly.
Later that day, It was around 8 PM, Amy had gotten ready for bed, but she did not feel tired yet, no because rage and frustration kept her awake. Despite the fact how inhuman those two hedgehogs were, Amy seemed to look beyond that but was more angered on how they messed up her chance of spending her high school years in a relationship with Sonic. Grinding her teeth at the sudden memory she growled.
"Dammit! I was so close!" She cried, Amy stomped out to her bedroom porch. "7 years it took me to have the courage to tell Sonic I like him more than a friend, but those jerks had to go and ruin it all!"
Clutching her fist tightly a fire could be seen in her angered jade eyes.
"I wont give up just yet, I'll get my revenge the next time I see those bastards!" Amy yelled to the night sky. "You messed with the wrong hedgehog!"
"Amy get to bed already." One of Amy's neighbors yelled from the next porch besides hers. Amy pouted.
"Sorry."
Before heading to bed, her cell phone had suddenly vibrated. Leaning her arm forward she checked the text she had received and instantly squealed in joy and sat up. Sonic texted her!
[Jeez Amy, what happened earlier today was pretty extreme, how are you?] Sonic
She smiled, he was thinking about her, she texted back almost immediately.
[Fine, thanks for asking, yeah It was pretty extreme, can you believe those guys did that?] Amy
[What guys? You saw someone up there? :( ] Sonic
Amy now raised her eyebrow, of course she saw them. Who couldn't? They were standing out in broad daylight. She texted
[Yeah! How didn't you see them? They were right there above us.] Amy
[Wow, sorry I didn't see anything during the explosion.] Sonic
Explosion? Now Amy was getting confused, that was not a explosion, more of a strong impact that green hedgehog received from the black one, Amy was unsure of what to text back and sighed.
[Alright we'll talk about it tomorrow, I'm heading to bed.] Amy
[Night Ames ; ) ] Sonic
She giggled at his text before she had texted back to him before heading to bed, now suddenly tired.

Panting Amy realized she was running, wait it felt more like she was chasing someone. Everything was a bit blurry, but she felt like she was running in some grass. What was she doing? She could hear a boys laughter, a teasing one at that but somehow it made her feel excited. Speeding up some more, a shape of a person began to form. She squinted her eyes and the figure looked like Sonic!
"Sonic! Wait for me." She yelled as she got closer and closer to him, his head turned back showing his cocky grin. She pounced him from behind, he felt soft yet muscular making her face blush a bright pink. Somehow though his fur looked.. a bit greener?
"Huh?" She said quite confused staring at Sonic's now emerald green fur and when did he have a...long black tail? (yes scourge has a demon tail~) Looking back up at 'Sonic' he apparently had light blue eyes looking down at her with those sharp teeth. Amy freaked and let out a scream before she had fell out of the bed head first. Realizing she was dreaming she took a few deep breaths.
"Ow..." she grumbled rubbing her head, "What was that?"
At the park, Scourge was snoozing on a bench, he opened his eyes sneezing. He had just had a strange dream, he looked up at the sky for a bit before yawning and turning over going back to sleep on the bench before mumbling.
"Strange dream...cute girl though."
Shadow wasn't to far away from Scourge, he leaned on a close by tree smoking a cigarette as he looked up into the sky. "We gotta long day tomorrow..."
