"Here we are in London , 2007 on the 21st of November." said the Doctor. Marhta followed the Doctor out of the TARDIS but then stopped. William wasn't moving. Must be in shock , she thought. "C'mon. Don't you want to see what it's like?" asked Martha encouragely. William was hesitant but slowly got up and followed Martha out of the blue box.
Shakespear was stunned at what he saw. London had changed quite a bit. There were buildings as tall as the sky and automobiles zooming by. Many people swarmed the streets and sidewalks. "Well?" asked the Doctor as he turned around to see William's reaction. William was silent. "Shakespear at a loss of words , I don't believe it." the Doctor teased. "It's...huge." is all he managed to say. Yhe Doctor and Martha stared at William but Marhta broke the silence when she said , "Why don't we head back to my apartment and I'll make some tea?" "Some tea...would be great." replied Shakespear.
In about twenty minutesthe three of them were at Martha's apartment. "Here you go , Mr. Shakespear." said Martha handing him a steaming hot cup of tea. "Please , call me William." he said. "And here is yours, Doctor." Martha said handing a cup to the Doctor. "Oh.no. I'm good, thanks." he said placing the cup on the table on front of him. The Doctor leaned back on the couch and put his hands behind his head. "Aah..the twenty first century." he said with a sigh. Martha and William smiled at the remark. "Does anyone want anything to eat?" she asked. "No , I'm fine." the Doctor said. "Do you have any bread and butter?" asked William."Yes I do. I'll go and get you some." Martha relpied as she went into the kitchen. Martha came back with the food for William. "Thank you." he said. Ring Ring. "Excuse me." asid MArtha as she ran out of the room to answer the phone. The Doctor walked into the kitchen anad began taking stuff out of the cabinets. William sat in the living room , completely bored out of his mind. He picked up the television remote (which he had never seen before) and began pressing buttons. A picture appeared on the screen which startled William. "Sightings of a blue box have been seen all over the world. If you have seen this blue box or the Doctor please call this number." the commercial on the television said. William quickly turned the television off for he heard Martha adn the Doctor coming back into the room . "Sorry about that. It was my mother. She was just checking up on me." Martha said as she sat down in a chair. The Doctor sat in the chair adjacent to hers. "May I use your lu?" asked Willliam. "Yeah sure. It's just down the hall first door oon the left." Martha told him as he got up and followed her directions. William locked the door. He looked in the mirror and then out of the window. He thought for a moment and then opened the window and climbed out.
