Rain poured down onto the forest, sliding down the leaves and dripping onto the earth. Thunder crackled in the sky, lightning striking every few minutes. Two cats were huddled together under a tree, their heads close and tails twined. One cat was a dark striped tabby tom, with a white underbelly, the other a red she-cat with a thick scar across her throat and a nick in her ear. Both had piercing blue eyes. "Oakfrost," The she-cat murmured. "Are you sure none of your... Clan... Will find us?

"Oh, don't worry, Yuki," Oakfrost whispered, "They won't."

Yuki nuzzled his cheek and closed her eyes. She then opened them again, and looked up at Oakfrost. "Oh, my love," She sighed. "I...I'm expecting kits. Our kits."

Oakfrost pulled away and looked her in the eye. "W-what...? Kits..?" He mewed, surprised. "That.. That's wonderful! But.. Will I ever see them? My Clan may start to get suspicious if I keep leaving camp."

"The Clan seems to be splitting us apart.. And I don't want that. I love you, and I couldn't bear to not see you."

"Yes. I know. I love you too, but us being together is against the warrior code. My Clan doesn't allow it." Oakfrost looked at the ground sadly. "I wish my Clan allowed it, everything would be so much easier."

Yuki stared at him. "You could always leave the clan, and become a rouge like me."

"No... I- I... I can't."

"Please," Yuki mewed pleadingly. "For our kits,"

"I can't leave," he began, "I could never leave my Clanmates. I'm loyal to SwiftClan," Oakfrost sighed. "But you... you could always join the Clan," he murmured.

Yuki looked at the ground for a few seconds, then back up at Oakfrost. "You know what?" Oakfrost stared at her as she spoke. "Maybe I can."

"I'm sure Ravenstar would let you in the Clan. She's let rouges in before."

Yuki's eyes shone. "I'm going to join SwiftClan."
