She gazed at him with her doe eyes; calculating and searching. For months she had an ongoing battle inside her. Every line has been blurred already, but still she couldn't say those three words- always afraid of rejection and a harsh slap of reality.
But she knew she had to say it sooner or later.
The words were always at the tip of her tongue- waiting for it to slip. It is always better to say it during the right time rather than it just being brought up out of the blue thus making the proclamation awkward and tense.
With a deep breath, Clary said 'I love you' to an oblivious Jace.
