Okay even though I think this might be a bad fic because no one is giving any comments on it on the site I posted on, but I love these two, I will update for Raj and Simran. I wish I had my own Raj.

Chapter Two:

Raj closed his eyes as Simran changed and wished he could do more for her. She was his angel and right now, no one knew how much he loved her except Lajjo and Chutki. His fists clenched…it didn't matter if anyone knew; he would protect her from Yash.

"Raj," Simran said. "Tum ankhein khol lo." [You can open your eyes.]

Raj turned around, looking at Simran and noticed Lajjo and Chutki had left.

Simran's eyes watered and moved closer to Raj. "Raj, main ab tumhare…kabil nahi…" [Raj, now I am…not worthy…]

Raj pulled Simran into an embrace, kissing her forehead. "Tum ab bhi utni hi khubsoorat ho jitni pehle thi." [You are still as beautiful as you were before.] He wished there was a way he could send all her fears away and protect her from everything. Hearing her sobs made him feel like someone had broken his hands and feet. He had been able to do nothing when that…that bastard was hurting her.

"Raj, Simran, Bauji arahe hain, woh tumse baat karna chate hain Simran," [Raj, Simran your father is coming, he wants to talk to you Simran.] Lajjo called out.

Simran pulled away, opening the door and Lajjo and Chutki came back inside just as Baldev Singh (Simran's Bauji) arrived.

"Simran beti," [Simran daughter] Baldev said putting a hand on her head. "Us kaminay ki kharkat ne teri shaadi bigardi hai. Kuljeet ne rishte se inkaar kar diya hai aur magnee ki anghooti wapis kardi hai." [That bastard's act has ruined your wedding. Kuljeet has rejected the proposal and returned the engagement ring.]

Raj had no idea what to feel to that: happy or sad. To be honest, right now he felt both. He was happy because the proposal had been broken without him having to do anything to play a hand in this. But he was also sad because Simran had been rejected because of the horrible incident that had happened to her.

"B-Bauji, s-sorry…" [D-Dad, s-sorry…] Simran choked out, trying to wipe away her tears and be strong but seemed to be unable to.

Baldev smiled. "Nahi beti isme tera koi kusoor nahi hai. Tu aram kar." [No daughter this isn't your fault. You rest.]

With that, he kissed her forehead and left.

"Acha chalo ab Simran ko aram karne do," [Okay, let's go, let's let Simran rest] Lajjo said ushering Raj out.

Raj managed a smile. "Ok Senorita, parechan mat hona ok?" [Ok Senorita don't worry ok?]

Simran wiped away some of her tears and sniffled. "Ok." She went and laid down on the bed.

A few hours later, as Raj entered the lounge room, he saw Baldev slap Yash in the face.

"Teri yeh jurrat ke tu yahan wapis aya?" [You have this much guts to come back here?] Baldev said, his eyes flashing with anger.

Raj felt his fists shake but he watched, forcing it down. His blood was boiling though…urging him to wrap his hands around Yash's neck, to strangle the life out of the bastard before he could even say Simran's name. It took all self-restraint for him to keep himself back.

Yash laughed. "Kyun, sir? Kuljeet ne toh aapki beti koh tukhra diya hai. Humne ushe chooha, hum ushe apna bhi leynge." [Why, sir? Kuljeet has rejected your daughter. I touched her, I am willing to accept her.]

Raj didn't hear what Baldev said next. He only heard the blood pounding in his ears and before he knew it, his fist connected with Yash's face, punching him furiously. "You bastard! Teri himmat kaise hui Simran ka naam lene ki? Kamina!" [You bastard! How did you get the courage to even say Simran's name! Bastard!]

Fist after fist connected with Yash's face. He could feel Yash fighting back but didn't even give him the chance. He might have even killed Yash but Baldev and Kuljeet pulled him away.

"Eh rukko!" [Eh stop!] Kuljeet cried. "Raj, kya hogaya hai tumhe yaar? Simran aisi bhi nahi hai ke tu apni jaan pe kehl ja us ke liye!" [Raj, what's wrong with you man? Simran is not that precious that for her, you play at your life!]

Raj stopped and stared at Kuljeet as Yash stumbled back, falling unconscious.

"Yeh tum kaise kahay sakto ho Kuljeet?" [How can you say that, Kuljeet?] Raj croaked, his voice sounding hoarse both from the shock and from Kuljeet's words.

"Ushi ne shey di ho gi usko Raj, warna Yash aisa nahi hai," [She must have been the one to lure him, Raj otherwise Yash isn't like this.] Kuljeet said.

Raj felt himself bristle. "Shut up! Tumhe Simran jaisi paak ladki ke barey mein aise sauch te ve sharam aani chahiye. Woh aisi ladki nahi hai." [Shut up! You should be ashamed of thinking such thing of a pure girl like Simran. She isn't like that.]

Baldev raised an eyebrow at him but Raj didn't care that he had almost given himself away and stormed away. So what? So what if they discovered his feelings? If it meant protecting Simran, he would take her from here. He hadn't wanted to run her away with him at first and wanted to take her the proper way but now he didn't know…nor did he want to think much of it. What had happened to Simran was unforgivable…he wanted to protect her, make her smile again.

He arrived in front of her room and knocked.

A small alarmed cry came from Simran and Raj felt a rush of shame fill inside him. He shouldn't be so hasty.

"Simran, main Raj hoon, sorry tumhe dara diya," [Simran, it's me Raj, sorry for scaring you] Raj said softly and slowly the door opened a little bit and Simran peeked outside.

"Raj?" Simran said, her voice sounding tired. "Koi dekhle ga tumhe." [Someone will see you.]

Raj smiled. "Main andar aa sakta hoon?" [Can I come inside?]

Simran blinked before nodding and opening the door more allowing Raj to step inside. "Kya hua? Aise kya dekh rahe ho?" [What happened? Why are you looking at me like that?]

Raj took Simran's hand. "Mujhse pyar karti ho?" [Do you love me?]

"Haan, sabse zaada," [Yes, more than anyone] Simran replied promptly.

"Barosa hai mujhpe?" [Do you trust me?] Raj said.

"Khud se zaada," [More than I trust myself] Simran promised.

Raj looked deeply into Simran's eyes. "Simran, mere saath bhaag chalo gi? Main tumhe apne kareeb rakhna chahta hoon, tumhari hifazat karna chahta hoon. Tumhe pyar karna chahta hoon, itna pyar ke tumhari chehra ki muskurahat phir laut aye." [Simran, will you run away with me? I want to keep you close to me, I want to protect you. I want to love you so much that I can see a beautiful smile lighting your face again.]

"Raj…" Simran's eyes watered at her words albeit before she could reply her eyes widened as she saw her Bauji standing there. She gripped Raj's hand in her own. He had heard everything.
