Hey guys, thanks for the reviews! I honestly didn't expect reviews this early on so when I saw some it was a pleasant surprise! ^^
Thoaria: did you mean you like OC/Lucina? Sorry XD
Chapter 2: What She Saw
Miki smirked as she tilted her Wii controller forward and pressed A. Her smile grew wider at her brother's annoyed expression as she beat him yet again in Wii tennis. "Let's play another game," he complained, frowning slightly.
Miki sighed, before nodding. "Okay, fine. What do you wanna play?"
The answer was immediate. "Fire Emblem!" her brother shouted in excitement, giving her a huge grin.
Miki chuckled. "Alright then," she said. "You can start putting these things away and I'll go and put in the cartridge. Her brother pouted, but nodded with no complaints. Anything for Fire Emblem, Miki smiled to herself. She paused at the top of the steps and yelled down, "Awakening, right?" "Yeah, hurry up, I'm almost done!" her brother yelled back. Miki blinked in surprise before quickly running to her room and pulling out her 3DS, slipping out the previous cartridge and dropping it on the floor. Surprisingly, her brother was the neat one in the family, not her.
She ran back down the steps to find the Wii put back and everything in its place. She blinked in surprise before walking to the couch and plopping down next to her brother. "Ian, which file?" she asked him. He pondered for a moment before he sighed.
"I wish there was a file where you could have two tacticians," he said. "Then we could play together!"
Miki smiled as she looked at him before ruffling his brown hair. "Well, unfortunately, there's not so we have to take turns," she said, before selecting a file called EPIC. They had literally named the character Epic and proceeded to spazz it, making horribly stupid moves simply because this was their first profile.
After they had made a second and a third profile, they had realized how badly their first one sucked, but couldn't bring themselves to delete it. So it stayed on as a spazz profile, with them having messed up and died countless times.
Miki smiled as the familiar, extremely ugly character came on screen. She handed the DS to her brother before getting up. "I'm gonna make us our dinner, okay?" she asked. Ian merely hmmed, he was already in the familiar battlefield and wasn't paying much attention to their surroundings.
Miki sighed and walked to the kitchen. She placidly began to walk around finding ingredients to make their meal.
A while later, Miki was in bed. She and Ian had already eaten dinner and closed down the video games. Miki sighed. She couldn't sleep tonight. Slowly, she got up out of bed and walked to her window. She opened it and looked out, sighing as she felt the cool night air hit her and blow her hair slightly.
She blinked as she felt slightly dizzy and slowly walked back to bed. She gasped as she fell to the ground about a foot away. Her body was acting up, she wasn't feeling right. Her breath came in short gasps and she couldn't think straight. She felt rushed with adrenaline and tired at the same time. She screamed as she felt like her body was being torn apart. She lifted her head as she heard a series of thumps as Ian came staggering into her room, clearly in almost the same state she was in, perhaps a little better since he was moving.
"Wh-what's happening?" he gasped, falling to the ground. Miki could only shake her head as she blacked out.
Miki slowly opened her eyes to white. Just pure, white. If she were asked to describe it, that was all she would have been able to say.
A figure stepped out from the whiteness and slowly made its way to her. She couldn't see what it was until it got very close to her. She instinctively took a step back as the figure was made visible to her. It seemed to radiate an aura of power and Miki was afraid. Her voice shook as she asked, "Who are you?"
The figure simply smiled and Miki got the feeling she'd seen her somewhere before. Was it when I was out in town? No, it couldn't have been…I would have remembered her otherwise. So then where…
And suddenly it came to her. Of course! It was in Fire emblem! she realized. She vaguely remembered an Outrealm Gate where the group met a woman who called herself Naga…and this woman looked exactly like her!
"Y-you're not…you can't possibly be…"
"I am Naga," the woman said. Miki was flabbergasted. "No way," she blurted out, before covering he mouth and blushing. "I-I mean…I'm sorry, m-milady. I-I m-meant n-no d-d-d-disrespect…" The woman simply smiled again and looked her over.
"So I take it you don't know why I'm here then?" Miki shook her head. For that matter, she didn't even know why the heck she was here either.
Naga smiled yet again (this was beginning to annoy Miki) and said, "I am here to take you to your true home." "My true home?" Miki asked. Naga nodded. "Yes," she said. "Your true home and purpose in life." Miki blinked. "I'm sorry…what?" she said.
Naga sighed. "I will not tell you everything. We do not have that kind of time. We must hurry and make you ready for the upcoming challenges you will face. Picture what you've always wanted to be," she said. Miki blinked. She thought for a second, her mind swirling with possibilities. Well…I've always wanted to be part of the Fire Emblem world…I wanted to be an insomniac too, so I could get stuff done. I also always wanted to have long silvery hair and purple eyes instead of this…brown hair, and blue eyes. And I've always wanted to be an optimistic go-getter…but maybe a little shy around strangers at first…this way I don't have to pick between Tsundere and Kawaii. Um…I also wanted to be good with swords and a healing staff so I didn't have to see any of my comrades die…For the most part, I want to keep my personality…I want to be able to play all of my instruments and be good at art…
Maybe some magic, but I think I'd be better at creating the spells and my brother would be good at using them…wait…my brother…Ian!
Miki gasped as she panicked slightly. "Oh no! Where's Ian?" she asked Naga. Naga shook her head. "He's safe," she told Miki, but refused to say any more. "Keep visualizing what you want to be. Come on!"
Well, the game never portrays her as mean, but…She sighed. "I think I'm done," Miki told Naga.
"Good, good!" Naga said. "Well then, brace yourself. Here you go!"
Miki barely had time to yell, "What?" before spiraling down into a tunnel of darkness.
A/N: The end! I'm worried my chapters are too short, but I can't do anything about it. The next one will be longer, I promise ^^
What about Ian? Stay tuned for more XD
Please R&R and as promised, COOKIES AND DUCKS TO Gunlord500, glad you like it so far. And, of course, to Thoaria, Thanks! ^^
