Chapter 2
Another Time
I had never heard such a word from a lady's mouth. I cleared my throat.
"Lady Delevaga…."
"Please tell me you are not who I think you are."
I frowned.
"Who do you think I am?"
"Thorin?"
It was my turn to be surprised.
"How do you know of me?"
She smirked.
"How can anyone not know you?" she asked.
"You seem quite young to be on your own. Where is your family?" Gandalf asked.
She looked down sadly.
"You are looking at it." she said.
I felt a little sad for her. She looked unbelievably young and the boy even younger. She looked into my eyes.
"To answer your question I am 20 years old. And my brother is 18."
"I did not ask…."
She smiled a bit.
"I can see it in your eyes." she said.
I smiled small and nodded.
"Well then perhaps it would be best that you remain with us." I looked at Gandalf. "It is not safe for a woman and such a young boy to travel alone."
She started to laughed. She had a lovely laugh.
"You have that backwards Gandalf."
I raised a brow.
Elena's POV
I was an Assassin. I had been since I was 14 years old. My brother had not wanted that life, he could fight but he was not a killer. I had weapons on me but they would never find them, I had skills none of them could ever match. Not even Thorin himself. My brother stirred and I looked at him.
"Alejandro?" I asked.
"I'm never climbing a tree ever again." he said.
I chuckled and he opened his eyes. He looked around and seemed very confused.
"What the hell?"
"I shall tell you later…."
"No you'll tell me now."
I bit my lip and looked at Thorin.
"Alejandro, this is Thorin Oakenshield. Thorin Oakenshield, my brother Alejandro Delevaga."
Thorin nodded his head.
"He helped me get you here."
"Thanks."
He nodded again.
"Apparently we are going with them. At least until we find a way to get back home."
He nodded and then looked at Gandalf. He looked like he was about to laugh.
"Okay I know who that is."
I smiled.
"How could you not?"
He smacked me and I shook my head.
"Right, I suggest you both take some rest. We leave early in the morning. Meanwhile I think the rest of us should further discuss our plans." Thorin said.
"No, if we are going with you then I need to know where we are going." I said.
He nodded and Alejandro went back to sleep. The others left but Thorin looked at me.
"Where are you from?" he asked me.
I looked into his blue eyes.
"Another time." I said.
He just nodded. I was confused. The Thorin I had read about would have demanded to know who I really was. I let it go.
