The snow had begun falling heavily, and it had been so long since they'd gotten any. Emma wasn't passing it up. She had just bought a new heavy duty four-wheeler a couple months ago, planning for snow, and she was ready to ride around. It was almost a foot deep when she got bundled up and ready to go.
Stepping out of the door, Emma used her magic, of which she had grown quite fond of, to whip up her four wheeler into the driveway. She smiled excitedly like a child as she ran to it and hopped on, pushing the key into the ignition. Twisting it and pushing the pedal at her right foot, she pushed the button to turn it on and pulling slowly out of the driveway. She glanced behind her and in front of her to make sure no one was in sight, and floored the acceleration, shouting with delight as she tore down the street.
When it came to a turn, she dramatically leaned to the right and spun around in the snow, smiling and whooping gleefully.
She rocketed back down the street, ignoring the loud shouts of protest she heard from various town members. When she reached the end she braked dramatically and twisted around so she faced the crowd forming, wiping the snow and ice accumulating from her face. Amongst the crowd was: Henry, The Charming's, Regina, Belle, Hook, Ruby, and Granny.
"Maa! Why didn't you call me over?" Henry shouted to her. Emma drove closer to the group so she was against the curb. Emma made eye-contact with Regina for about five seconds before looking away from the aggressively stern glare.
"Because I knew your mom wouldn't go for it." Emma nodded towards Regina. Henry shrugged, sprinting towards his birth mother and swinging his leg over the side.
"Henry!" Regina and Snow screeched simultaneously. Emma chuckled and pushed the snow-monster into park.
"You know I can't let you ride unless they agree to it. Well, unless your mom does." Emma shrugged, hiding her grin as Regina ran to the teenager and brushed him off, checking for surface wounds.
Henry rolled his eyes and pushed her hands away, crossing his arms. "Mom, it's just a four wheeler. Please?"
"No, I refuse to put you in danger. I've already been through that once, I have no interest in going through it again."
Emma jammed her hands into the back pockets of her jeans. "Regina, it's pretty safe, I mean-"
"Don't even start. This is illegal, and you are the Sherriff. You shouldn't take advantage of that. This is irresponsible, Ms. Swan, and you are setting a very bad example for our son."
"Oh, come on. I've been on a four wheeler before, I have experience. He won't get hurt."
Regina rolled her eyes and stepped in front of her son. "Do I need to confiscate your ride, Sherriff? I said no, and that's that."
Emma knew how Regina worked. She knew how to win. "I bet you don't want him to ride because you're too scared to ride yourself."
Regina stopped in her tracks, and Emma mentally high-fived herself. She had just won.
"Ms. Swan, forgive me, but to me it seems as if you just stated that I would be… too scared… to ride on that thing?"
"No, you were correct. I know you are too scared."
At this point Regina was seething, and Emma cracked her knuckles menacingly. "Unless, I was mistaken, and you'd like to go for a ride?"
Emma, keeping her eyes glued to Regina's, stalked over to her ride, and hopped on, revving the engine and gesturing behind her to Regina.
Henry, a grin plastered to his face, watched as his mother turned slowly to face him, and handed him her coat. A look of sheer determination on her face, the crowd almost falling on their faces with shock, Regina swung a leg over the side, pushing as close to Emma as she could get, and wrapping herself around the woman like a koala.
"You sure about this, Madam Mayor? Because to me, it seems as if you're tense, and maybe even a little bit terrified."
Regina's hot breath hit the back of Emma's ear in a threatening hiss. "Go, Sherriff."
With that, Emma slammed her foot down and they flew down the street at the speed of light. Emma could feel Regina's heart-rate increasing against her back, and she knew that as soon as she hit the turn Regina would scream, and she would win.
Emma leaned forward with the bike, Regina coming with her, as she approached the end of the street. She flung the four wheeler to the right and they did three donuts, Emma chuckling cheerfully as Regina screeched into her ear, "HOLY-", "EMMA SWAN!", and a few other choice swear words, as well as some ear-drum-bursting wails. When they finally rolled into a semi-stop, Regina jumped off of the bike and stormed off. To where, Emma had no idea. But she was sure of the fact that the woman had been traumatized when she saw her disappear into a cloud of purple smoke.
