Amidst the Hate: Chapter 1

-7 years later….-

A young girl opened the door to her bedroom, her snow white hair disheveled from trying to rip it out due to her recent problem. "Why?! Why don't they train me? They train Mito anytime she asks, so what have I done wrong?!" Plopping down on the bed, she spots the only picture she bothered keeping, one with her whole family.

It consisted of four people, two in the front , two in the back. The tallest one on the left was her father, Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage. Next to him was her mother, Kushina Uzumaki, the jinchuuriki of half the Nine Tails (or so she believes). In front of them were the Namikaze twins, Anza and Mito. Anza was the only strange looking one, with her white hair and whisker marks. All were smiling, the twins with the most childish ones, being around 4 at the time.

'Those were happier times...' Anza thought bitterly, grabbing her copy of the picture and ripping it in half. She was beyond angry. It was like this nearly every day once they were of the age to start training. 'More like when Mitowas of the age of training' she reminded herself. Anza held no hate for her twin though, only her parents. Mito just got used to getting nearly everything she wished, while their parents didn't really try worrying about Anza. 'I need to find someone to train me, if they won't…..but who?'

She had a few options due to the Namikaze name. The Namikaze clan were relatives to the Uchiha clan, who are constantly being blamed for the Nine Tails attack 7 years ago. From what she knew, the Namikaze's started when a small group of Uchiha left, following Madara's ideas of the being 'oppressed' and going to a nearby village, where they mixed with the locals, and making it near impossible to access their dojutsu, the Sharingan. Based on those ties, she could get someone to train her, right? Wrong, most were pricks with sticks up their asses and a superiority complex. That left her with very few options. Kakashi was the ideal choice, but he would rather read his porn (that her godfather writes) than train, but with her being his sensei's daughter, she may convince him. There was also Tsunade, granddaughter to the First Hokage Hashirama Senju, but the training may be too hellish for the young girl. There was also Tsunades drinking problem that would put damn near everyone under the table. Anza definitely did not want that.

'That leaves...no one. Huh, this is harder than I thought.'

"Anza! Dinner's ready!" Said albino was snapped from her thoughts by her mother's loud voice.

"Be there in a bit!" She shouted back, keeping her depressed mood out of her voice as best she could. Reluctantly getting off her soft mattress, she slowly marched off to the dining room.

"What's with your hair?" her blond sister asked. Last she saw Anza, her hair was fine.

"Beating my head across the wall." she wanted to say, but thought better of it. "Did some pushups." she replied with a forced tone of finality.

Mito looked like she didn't believe it, but didn't voice out a differing claim. "If you say so."

Anza ignored the looks they were giving her, and instead looked at the bowl in front of her. The bowl had what could possibly be the only thing linking her to them all besides blood. The households favorite food, and Kami's gift to mankind: ramen.

Anza almost forgot her anger towards her parents while devouring the deceptively large bowl of noodles. Loathe to admit it, her mother was one of the best ramen cooks out there.

Knowing that her white haired child was angry for some reason, smiled looking at how happy Anza looked eating ramen. 'At least she's in a better mood.'

Deciding to break the silence, Anza spoke to Mito. "So...how's the training?"

"Great, starting learning how to walk on trees."

"Oh…" She knew Mito was the only one training, but to get so far…

Finishing up the bowl, Anza decided to take her leave. "I'm going to take a walk around the village. I should be back soon." Not leaving room for argument, she almost slammed the front door on her way out.

"Is... she not happy with my progress?" Mito wondered aloud

"I don't know, Mito…. I don't know." Spoke Minato

"Okay, who could I have train me?" Anza almost grumbled out.

"You need training?" a young male voice spoke from behind Anza.

"AH! Who are you?!" she yelled out while turning around to face the mysterious voice.

He had spiky black hair, dark brown, almost black eyes, and had an air like a shinobi, but much...nicer, like Kakashi.

'Has to be an Uchiha. Nearly every member has that hair and eye color.'

"My name is Shisui Uchiha" 'Called it.' "and sorry about sneaking up on you like that. Wasn't meaning to scare you…..crap, you're Anza Namikaze. Should have known that."

'He's...different than the other Uchiha….not...mean, I guess.' Anza thought to herself. "It's fine, but why are you here?"

"Can't a ninja have a day off to walk around the village?" Shisui said with a grin that just oozed with mirth. Switching to the standard shinobi glare, "I heard you say you needed training. Why would you, of all people, need training?"

"Because my parents won't take the time to train me! They only care about training Mito, and Mito doesn't even realize it. I only know one thing, and I got it out of a discarded scroll." Anza said with a scowl.

"And that would be….?"

"A minor henge, to hide my birthmarks."

"Birthmarks?" Anza dispelled the henge, showing the man her whisker marks. "Oh, well, I guess I can train you. I'm not a jonin yet, but I could teach you what you need."

"Really?! You will?!" Anza couldn't believe what she just heard. Real training? She could catch up to her sister?

"Yeah! If you want training, you should be able to get it. Well, meet me at training ground 14 at 8 in the morning. Bye!" and with that, Shisui disappeared in a shunshin….with no leaves…

'...what have I gotten myself into?'

A.N.: I hope this is long enough, since it's hard for me to make unnecessarily long chapters. Before you ask, yes, I had to use Shisui. I probably could have used someone else, like Itachi, but I like Shisui more. He's also perfect to teach Anza, being nice and outgoing to her rather sheltered life. I still feel bad about her sister's name, but I don't have a replacement. Review fairly.
