I re-did this chapter at least 5 or 6 times and I'm still not quite happy with how it turned out :/ Tell me what you guys think about it! Something big is about to go down...
Night 4
"I'm ready for you guys so come on out to play." I grinned to myself as the power lit up my tablet and I took a quick glance around the restaurant. Tonight I was determined to figure out what exactly was going on. As I flip to the camera Chica wouldn't let me look at last night I notice something sitting on one of the party tables. It looks like some kind of...note? I flip to the other cameras and, seeing no movement yet, try to get a closer look at the note. All I could make out is my name, Alex, written in childish handwriting. Did...Did Chica write that? I swear things are getting more confusing every night. I'll have to check that out after my shift is over. I wait for a bit, checking the camera occasionally. No movement yet. That's strange. 2:21 and not one of them have moved an inch. Were they planning on luring me into a false sense of security? Or...A thought clicked in my head and everything seemed to start fitting into place.
The words I've been receiving, the 'expressions' I've seen on the animatronics. Someone...or something was controlling them. They weren't doing this because they wanted to. Those words were from them? Or maybe someone who knows about them? Well whoever sent those messages to me meant them about the furry creatures I was staring at. They need me to save them. It was either that or I this job had finally taken its toll and I had gone crazy. I preferred to think of the former. One thing was still missing if this were to be the case, however. Why aren't they attacking me tonight if they're being "controlled"?
3:30. Still not a single movement save for Foxy who had moved to outside her curtain. She was sitting on the floor staring at the camera, not in her usual spot. All I could think of is how upset she looked. I kept the camera on her for a moment as she tilted her head to one side and opened her mouth as if she was trying to say something.
As she didn't really have a 'mouth' it was hard to make out what she was saying. It looked almost like "Help us" which, at this point in time, I was inclined to believe. I switch back over to the main stage camera. Nope. Still haven't moved. My shift was almost over and the bots haven't moved. I had 10 minutes to figure out what was going on here. "I'd have to be either stupid or crazy to try this, I guess I'm a bit of both." I sighed as I picked up my defense tools and headed out the left door. "First stop, Pirate's Cove." I made my way cautiously, quietly down the hall. Rounding the corner I see Foxy is staring right at me. I keep calm, holding my defensive pose against the wall in case this was a trap. The fox just sat there staring at me then eventually said "Alex, ye don't have to be scared, I won't hurt you," in her pirate's accent. I was shocked at how this creature all seem to know my name, and equally shocked as to why the same fox that has been trying to kill me for the past three nights is suddenly an old friend of mine.
"Listen Foxy I want you to tell me what's up with you and your animal pals...I...I might be able to help." I peek around the corner and see evident shock, yet happiness in the pirate's eyes. "Alex do ye mean that!?" I was beginning to think I had signed up for something more than I could take. "If I can." I came around the corner in full view of her. "First I want you to tell me why you were attacking me before but you're completely docile now. Just so you know, I'm not trusting you. Yet." She shifted uncomfortably but didn't seem hostile in the least. "I don't have much time before my servos shut down so I'm going to make this quick. There's someone blackmailing us into killing people. The only reason we stopped trying to kill you is because a..." she hesitated a bit, "friend of ours told us if anyone can help us, ye're the one..."
I looked at her with doubt clearly written on my face. She continued "Tomorrow night I seriously doubt we'll be like we have been tonight. Expect us to...to try and kill you." Blackmail? I thought to myself. How does one blackmail a robot? I glance at my watch. Two minutes left. "Listen Foxy if what you said is true then I'm going to do everything in my power to save you guys." Her eyes lit up with joy "Thank ye Alex! Thank you so much!" She got up and almost pounced on me, nearly succeeding before reflexes kicked in and I dodged to her right. "Oops! I'm sorry, I got too far ahead of myself!" she sheepishly giggled, moving back to her curtains. "If you didn't see it, look in party room A. You'll find something that might help ye."
I was about to comment further before she closed the curtains and the daytime power supply kicked on. I had about five minutes to check out what I wanted to before the day crew got in so I swiftly made my way to party room A and picked up the note from the table, shoving it in my pocket and heading to the main stage. I looked up at the three animatronics on stage, in their usual places. "Bonnie, Chica, Freddy..." I glanced at each one as I spoke their names. "I don't know what's going on here but once I figure this out, I have some questions for you thre-...For you four" I corrected myself, giving the lead singer of the Fazbear band a smile and a wink before taking my leave. This was going to be a long day.
Night 5
I had found out quite a bit of vital information last night after leaving the restaurant, including some background information on the bots themselves. Apparently these animatronics were not the first in operation for this restaurant chain. Before "Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria", there had been two other restaurants, the first being named "Fredbear's Family Diner" and the second, the immediate ancestor of the pizzeria I now walked in to, named "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza." The first diner originally had one animatronic, Fazbear, eventually closing down due to some unnamed incident but not before they added a second mascot, Springtrap. After the closing the two original mascots were never to be found, even to this day.
The second restaurant had four animatronics to begin with. Frederick, Bonbon, Cici, and an unnamed mascot nicknamed "The Mangle." As 'aiding' animatronics, two more were added, being the Marionette and another unnamed bot, again with a nickname, this one being "Balloon Boy". Four more animatronics were supposed to be added, those being Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy, But not the animatronics I'm familiar with. These four were on schedule to be added, but one of the employees tampered with their AI programming, rendering them unsafe, therefore they were never used, instead stored away. I haven't been able to find any information on their current whereabouts. It's as if they've disappeared...in the same way Fazbear and Springtrap had.
The note Chica had left me gave me some clues as to what was going on, disregarding her sloppy handwriting. First she had apologized for having to keep me away from the camera, she couldn't risk me seeing it before my shift was over. That explained why the others were so active that night. Second, she explained the same thing Foxy did; Blackmailed into killing people. After that she went on to tell me how this blackmail was happening. Apparently an unknown man whom the animatronics had nicknamed "Purple Guy" tampered with their systems one night back when the pizzeria was still open. They thought it was some kind of maintenance or something of the sort, so did nothing to stop it. The following day, the "Bite of '87" happened, something I researched after reading her letter.
The actual Bite was Foxy's doing, although Chica stressed to me, very hard, that the fox wasn't in control of herself. I smiled to myself upon reading this. They really cared for each other. After they were semi-shut down, to the point where they could only use their free-roam mode at night, the Purple Guy came again, this time to 'talk'. The animatronics knew instantly that he was the reason this had all happened, and attempted to attack him, hoping to right their wrongs. While adjusting their systems, however, this unnamed man also built in something connecting to a remote control he possessed, making the helpless bots completely under his control.
After explaining this, Chica's last paragraph consisted of telling me to be careful of them if I were to come back, the same warning given by Foxy, and how the Purple Guy had threatened to turn them into killers who could roam the streets, eventually plotting world domination, if they didn't obey his commands. Typical antagonist stuff, I had thought. That concluded Chica's letter and gave me a few ideas as to the messages I kept getting. Still had no clue who sent them though.
I still had a lot of questions, and I still had too few answers, but tonight I'd get some of those answers...or die trying. I glanced at my watch before setting up in my office for the night. 11:34 I had come in earlier than usual, to see what I could figure out from looking around for a bit. Tonight was going to be an all-out race against time to find the "Purple Guy" before he made his puppets slaughter me, and began plotting his world domination. This was beginning to sound like a really bad horror movie, I thought as I set to work gearing myself up. A really bad horror movie...
So what do you guys think about it so far? Good? Bad? Stressful? Suspenseful? Leave a review and tell me whatcha thought!
Note: Frederick is Toy Freddy, Bonbon Toy Bonnie, CiCi is Toy Chica, and of course Mangle is Mangle, if that wasn't clear enough above :D (The withered animatronics I will just call "Withered Freddy, Withered Bonnie, etc.,etc. when they show up later on. Hopefully that will prevent any confusion)
I also have this idea where the Toy animatronics' personalities differ from their counterparts. We'll see how that goes.
