I had a long, and thoughtful journey to King's Cross, just thinking about how different our lives would be once I stepped into Hogwarts for the last year. I was kind of sad thinking about this being my last year here, but I intended to make it as well as I could.

Once I got to King's Cross Station, I immediately saw someone familiar, "Hi Luna." Luna turned around and yelled back, "Hello, Hermione! Long time it's been hasn't it?" I walked toward her, and said, "It has been, how have you been after You-Know-Who's downfall?"She looked surprised, "You don't have to call him that anymore, Hermione." I shrugged, and we walked through platforms nine and ten to platform nine and three-quarters.

Luna must have forgotten my question, but by the look on her face when she saw Hogwarts Express, I could tell she was fine, "Look! It's as good as ever. Well, I'm going to find Neville, see you later, Hermione." I nodded, and off she went. I must have forgotten about Neville and his crush on Luna, and I was hoping it would be something real soon.

"I looked around for about twenty minutes, and I couldn't see Harry or Ron anywhere. Just then I ran into someone head on, "Oh, I'm sorry- Harry!" I felt so elated, I ran up and hugged him like I haven't seen him in ten years, "Hermione... I missed you." He said softly, and I felt tears running down my eyes, and I let go of my grip, "Hermione, you don't need to cry." He said with a soft smile on his face, as I wiped my tears off my cheeks. I hugged him again when I felt a tap on my shoulder, "Sorry, Hermione, but I do believe that he's my boyfriend." I let go and replied, "Ginny!" And hugged her, short, but sweet, "Where's Ron?" She kind of stuttered, "He's uh... Well, he'll meet us there." I was shocked, "Why? Why's he not here now-" I was interrupted by the engine revving on the Hogwarts Express, "We'd better get on." Said Harry as he took Ginny's hand and walked on. I took one more look to see if Ron had shown up, but there was no sight of him. So, very gloomily I stepped on.

"Why couldn't he come, Ginny?" I asked as we walked into a compartment, where Neville and Luna were already sitting. I say by the window and looked up, hoping for an answer, "He couldn't come, because he's been clearing out Fred's stuff," I suddenly began to hurt inside, "Mum's had a rough time, crying on all of his stuff." Her eyes began to swell up with tears. It had been only a little over a year, and I could never imagine how she felt, it must be hard to lose one of her many brothers.

I decided to not ask her anymore questions. It was a quiet ride, until, "New year, guys. We start off fresh." Neville said softly, "We must be excited about that. After all that's happened, let's make it as good as we can." Harry began to speak, "You're right Neville. It is our last year, and we have each other, and it will be nice to have a break from all this chaos we've had every year." I wanted to say something, but I couldn't, I enjoyed spending time every years fixing issues that most wizards couldn't, "Hermione, all you alright?" Neville asked quietly. I didn't want to say anything, I wasn't alright, but somehow I said, "Yeah. I'm fine." And I guess they decided not to question me, for the rest of the ride was quiet. I spent my time looking through the window thinking of old times I had spent with Ron, and how he could be here, with his arm around me, making me feel warm. Instead he was picking up the pieces of last year, and I was so cold. I looked back to when we first met...
