Tear stained faces
The blonde haired musician waited with Linus and Rerun in the waiting room. The doctor then looked at the three kids and asked if they were all here to see Lucy. "Yes we are!" the youngest Van Pelt announced to the doctor.
The doctor then led the three boys to Lucy's room where she was lying perfectly still in a hospital bed with wires all over her. "LUCY!" Rerun cried out, prepared to jump on the bed and wake her up; but was stopped by Linus pulling at his little brother's blue overalls.
"I want to see her." The five-year-old exclaimed, struggling to get out of his older brother's grasp. "Is Lucy alright?" the musician asked after running over to her bedside and stroking her black hair with his hand, tears streaming down his face.
Fortunately, Lucy only broke an arm and a leg, so thankfully, there would be no permanent damage or amputation needed. But still, Schroeder vowed to stay by Lucy's side until she awoke.
