You actually came back. I question why you did, but I'm not complaining either.

In any case, sorry for taking so long to upload this chapter. I have had a lot of personal stuff get in my way recently and it took me a while to actually make this chapter happen.

And I will warn you all right now, I am not good with battle scenes. Don't hate me for the quality please. Now here is Chapter 2 of my social experiment. Hope you enjoy it.

Someone please slap me until this reality becomes a dream and goes away.

I honestly didn't know how to respond. This kid legit only met me about half an hour ago, and the vixen with him only five, and already both of them asked for me to join them in their adventure. Don't get me wrong, I was actually considering their offer, since I had no one else to guide me around this newfound world. But as soon as I was ready to give my answer, something quite strange happened. Call me crazy, but lightning actually struck when there were clear skies, and it seemed to continuously strike in one spot, about twenty feet away from us. "What the hell?" Chris asked, looking at the phenomenon. Cassie looked over as well, appearing as if she could pounce and kill whatever was causing this to happen.

One final arc of electricity struck, and in the place of this controlled striking was this void of energy, swirling in a circle-like shape, pitch black in the center, and appearing dark blue across the rim, looking like a whirlpool in the sea with black consuming 95% of what was inside the mass. The three of us backed up, a little spooked from witnessing it appear so suddenly. Exactly three seconds after the portal had opened up, someone appeared to be backflipping out of the portal, skidding across the ground and gaining traction as he landed. This human seemed to be no more than sixteen, wearing a jean jacket above a red t-shirt, untorn jeans, black high tops, a strap with a sword sheath attached to him, a black Rolex on his left arm, and a four foot long steel double-edged blade in his right hand. He was fair skinned, good posture, regular body build, about 5 ½ feet tall, dark brown hair, a scar on his left cheek, and a friendly dark blue gaze, which seemed to be not so friendly right now.

Another person came out at the exact same time, landing very gracefully next to him. She was wearing a red denim jacket on top of a light pink t-shirt, clad in slightly torn jeans and white low tops, a silver Michael Kors watch on her right arm, a staff as tall as her with yellow ends on it in her right hand, and a necklace with a single diamond-shaped ornament upon it, metal surrounding the diamond-shaped ruby within it. She seemed to be a slightly darker skin tone than the other teenager, seemed to be just as old and as tall as him, no scars upon her features, good posture as well, dirty blonde and flowing hair, and a warm hazel brown gaze, which appeared just as hardened an expression as her friend. Both of them were in a fighting stance, their expressions indicating they expected something bad to come out of the portal.

As they expected, a third human rushed out the portal, only a blur to the naked eye, a four foot blade as black as space raised. He clashed into the other humans and they were quickly locked in combat, moving at speeds I think, aren't humanly possible. All I could see was the blurred image of their weapons clashing. It seemed that the one human with the darkness-infused blade was fighting the other boy and girl, and there was no good way of telling who was good and who was bad. "Riolu, get back here," Chris called, wanting me to get out of the way. I looked back to Chris for half a second, only to flinch at the feeling of an impact shockwave behind me, seeing the first human I saw stop a shadow sword from turning me into Riolu-on-a-stick.

Seeing this, the few brain cells that I had that actually worked made a split second decision that I didn't expect to make. Something in me clicked some unknown pieces together as I quickly retracted my paw and sent my core energy into it, making it glow. I thrust forward and placed it square on the third human's chest and released all the pent-up energy in a small explosion, sending him back a couple feet, not so much fazed by the force of the attack as it was a surprise, apparently. This gave the teenager that saved me a half second to look at me, and when he did, a look of realization and amazement adorned him, his aura radiating mild shock as well. He quickly broke this feeling and turned back to the person I sent flying and rushed in again with the girl, clashing some more with the seemingly evil entity. This time, I actually developed a bit of common sense and went back to Chris and stayed close to him and Cassie, who were just watching the show at this point. Meanwhile, I looked down at my paw, wondering what the heck I just did, and my weird brain notified me that I just used Force Palm. 'Least I know I can fight back,' I thought to myself before looking up at the fight once more.

The three clashing finally locked weapons one final time, and the seemingly younger two had the darker being back up to the portal, trying to force the figure down and out of this area, and almost pushed him all the way back. At that moment, it seemed that time had slowed down to a crawl as the human that had saved me looked back, a warm expression upon him as he stared at me with soft blue eyes. 'Cobalt… your adventure shall begin here, when you go with Chris,' he spoke in my mind, the voice sounding strangely familiar to me, but I couldn't place where. 'You are destined for great things in your future, as well as Cassie, but it will all begin only if you allow your capture to occur. I realize that your memory loss is frightening you and that you at least want memories of your past to reminisce on, but trust me when I say this; to know past memories, you have to create some new ones. It will make sense as time passes.' Once he finished saying this, time went back to its original pace, and the three humans entered the portal, it closing almost instantly after. After that, there was an unsettling silence upon the three of us, and it stayed that way for a couple of minutes, before Cassie finally decided to speak.

"Um… what just happened?" she asked in a hushed tone, even though it did not matter since no one else was around. I only shrugged in response, more so shocked at my Force Palm than at the fight (and why that is, I still don't know to this day). Chris seemed frozen in time, as if something used Stun Spore on him to keep him as still as he was. It didn't appear that either of them heard that strange teenager speaking through telepathy, so there would be no talking to them about that. I was still considering what he had said though. 'You are destined for great things in your future, as well as Cassie, but it will all begin only if you allow your capture to happen.' How did that strange person even know our names to begin with? How was he so sure that my capture would lead to "great things?" Most of all, how did it appear as if he knew exactly who I was?

Chris finally decided to move as he put the pokéball intended for me into his bag. "Um… so, now what?" he asked. "Do we just… go to the center then?" Cassie nodded yes to the trainer, and they both went off to the center. I followed close behind, still paranoid from almost becoming a shish-kebab, but more so worried for them, as their auras showed signs of stress. I only hoped that I could help them somehow as I entered the center with them.

"Least the room is nice," Chris commented, having nothing else to say. He wasn't kidding, it actually was kinda nice. The room had a twin bed, basic kitchen, a full bath, and a decent TV. Nothing else was really worth noting in the room, to be quite frank with you. Chris proceeded to set all his stuff down on the bed and went to the kitchen, apparently making lunch for us. I leaped up to the top of the bed and promptly collapsed on the firm mattress, still somehow tired from my encounter with the Houndoom I saw four days ago. Cassie soon joined me, clawing her way up to the bed without (miraculously) damaging anything.

"Any idea who those people were?" Cassie finally asked, breaking the peace between us.

"No clue," I answered. "There was something about that teenager who saved me, however…," and I proceeded to tell her the telepathic message I had received from the strange boy, including that funny feeling that I got, about them being very familiar.

"Well… maybe they know something about your past, if they knew that much about you," she said. "And if you feel like you know them from somewhere, and they know you turned into a Riolu, maybe they know why you transformed from being a human in the first place?"

"That could be… but he went through the portal with that girl and other guy," I said. "We don't even know if they are even in Kalos to begin with. Where would we even begin to search?"

"I… honestly don't know," she admitted. "Maybe they will turn up randomly again and we can ask then, when they aren't fighting?"

"Pray that they do show up again," I answered, then proceeded to lay on my side, closing my eyes as I did such. The stress of everything happening was getting to me quick, as well as the shock laying on Chris and Cassie, which was somehow affecting me horribly as well, putting me in more stress than needed. Fortunately, I did not have to stress as much, since Chris brought over a plastic dish with weird brown pellets inside. 'What kind of dog food is this?' I asked myself as I picked up the pellet, only to have myself autocorrect it as basic pokemon food.

"Go ahead and eat you two," Chris said, sitting in a chair by the wall and opening a strange device. I examined the pellet in my paw for a couple of minutes, unsure if I should eat it or not. Cassie didn't seem to have that problem at all; she was eating her food contently, not seeing much of an issue with it, probably because she ate it all her life.

'Eh, couldn't hurt to try,' I finally decided, and popped the piece into my maw. I honestly had… very mixed opinions on it. Biting into it was the first weird thing about it, being somehow crunchy and soft, if that makes any sense. The texture, upon contact, went from being hard and a little lumpy, to being kinda mushy after touching my saliva. And the taste of it… for what the texture was, and the fact that it was practical dog food, it tasted… good, strangely. It probably only tasted that good because I was a pokemon now, and my taste should have changed as well, but I wasn't too sure. It also tasted strangely sweet, and I was curious why. Looking at the pellets more, I noticed small pink chunks within it, about the same hue as a peach. Knowing that Chris probably made the food, I took a pellet with me to him, pointing at the pink part.

"Oh, what is that pink part?" he asked, trying to understand me. I nodded in confirmation, glad to see he understood me easily. "Oh, those are pieces of Pecha berries I mixed into your food. Do you like it?" I nodded quickly, a slight smile crossing me as I responded. He smiled back and looked back to his device, the smile on him not leaving for quite a while. I popped the pellet into my mouth and walked back to the dish, eating it a little quicker the more I filled up.

Cassie noticed my enthusiasm and tilted her head. "I thought humans didn't like pokemon food," she commented.

"I mean, I am a pokemon now, so maybe my taste changed along with my newfound form?" I asked. "All I know is, this is food, it tastes good, and I am hungry." I popped another pellet in my mouth, letting this one just melt on my tongue so I could enjoy the sweetness in the strangely textured pellet. A few minutes later, to my disappointment, me and Cassie finished all the food we were given. I tried my best to stop the whine that dared to escape me from my disappointing discovery, but it still left me nonetheless. Chris looked up from where he was, only to chuckle in a lighthearted manner.

"Glad to see you like the taste of Pecha berries," he said, taking the dish away and washing it in the sink. "Cassie, we are gonna take both today and tomorrow to train up for the gym battle. Once we battle Viola and win, we will head out to the next city." He stopped cleaning, getting an idea. "Hey Riolu, why don't you train with us? You seem like the type that would train a lot, so why not train with us a little bit, until you decide on what you're going to do?"

I considered his offer for some time, looking down at my forepaws as I did such. Maybe the adrenaline of a battle could help me learn how to use these new attacks I had, and possibly how to get creative with said attacks, which might be useful for a later day. I looked back up to Chris, the unknown fire in my eyes all he needed for an answer. He nodded and put the bowl away, heading for the door. "Well then, let's go you two," he said, gesturing for us to follow. Cassie hopped down quickly, heading to her trainer. I followed pretty quickly as well, ready to see just how much I changed from my newfound transformation.

And there you go, everyone. Chapter 2 is now complete. I'm not on my A game with this chapter since I typed most of this at night during my spring break, and the fact that I am horrible with battle scenes, but I hope I can improve more as I keep writing the story.

And yes, I have been notified on the similarities in my first chapter to that of "Fabled World." I am very well aware that my first chapter (thankfully not my second) is very similar to that of said fanfiction. I promise you, I am not in any way attempting to copy the bigshot's work. He was merely my inspiration to do this story in the first place, and I did not realize that I accidentally made a copy paste of it. Before you yell at me about plagiarizing his work, just know that I am truly sorry about this and I will make sure from now on that this story changes to be its own. If there, by any chance, appear to be any major similarities in the stories other than what has been previously defined, just PM me about it and I will fix it ASAP.

In any case, I hope you all enjoyed. Send me a PM If you want to, alert me to any errors, all that jazz. I really don't know how to sell out.

See you all next time.
