Chapter 2
Ruby was at work when she got a phone call, she answered it hearing the person on the other line saying "hello is this ruby gem?" the tall girl said yes and lt the other person continue. "Yeah we need you to come to the hospital, sapphire got into a car crash she is going to be fine but it seems like that caused a miscarriage." ruby stayed silent for a moment "o-ok, umm I'll get off work and will be there in about twenty minutes" she hung up the phone and ran into her bosses office "hey sapphire got into a crash and i have to go" her boss looked up at her "i don't care, get back to work you can see her when you get off" ruby glared at her "i don't have time for this" she ran out of the office and out to her car quickly driving to the hospital. Ruby pulled in front of the building running it and asking the lady at the desk "can i see sapphire?" the lady nodded telling her the room number ruby immediately running to the room and seeing sapphire laying on the bed ruby walked over to her "sapphire?" her response confused her. "Ruby!"
Sapphire woke up ruby tightening the grip she had around her hips, sapphire turned over shaking her shoulder "ruby? Ruby babe wake up." ruby seemed like she was having a bad dream as her face contorted slightly in her sleep. Sapphire could feel ruby continue to tighten her arms around sapphires waist. Sapphire shook her harder "ruby!"
Ruby sat up quickly breathing heavily "fuck" she looked over at sapphire mumbling "oh thank god" ruby quickly wrapped her arms around sapphire pulling the small girl against her. Sapphire looked up at her "ruby what is going on? What happened?" ruby looked down at her a tear rolling down her cheek "it was just a bad dream, it's fine" sapphire nodded "what happened, in the dream?" ruby looked to the side "i had the dream that you got in a crash but this time it wasn't you who died. I dreamed that we lost the baby" sapphire sighed leaning up and kissing ruby softly "it's ok ruby, it wasn't real." ruby nodded laying back down sapphire laying with her. Ruby put her arms around sapphire as she laid on her with her head on rubys chest. Tracing rubys tattoos on her collar bones tracing her and lunas names, she kissed rubys chin kissing a trail up to her mouth kissing her lips softly. "Lets go to bed ruby, you have work tomorrow" the taller girl sighed turning on her side pulling sapphire close to her before turning off the light so they could go to sleep.
Ruby woke up in the morning sapphire having jumped out of her arms to throw up, ruby sat up rubbing her face mumbling "god last night was terrible" sapphire got into bed next to her "you're telling me, i woke you up because you where tightening your arms around me in your sleep" ruby blushed slightly "sorry baby." sapphire shrugged getting comfortable before realizing something "ruby today's friday" ruby smirked "damn, guess i'm here with you today" sapphire smirked "well if you're home with me let's get some more sleep in before luna wakes up" ruby chuckled pulling the short girl close kissing her softly and wrapping her arms around her going to sleep.
