Party Crashers

Price and I, where assigned to a team within the squadrons, and sent out to scout, this was supposed to be a low risk operation, but somehow we were spotted and rained on with bullets and had to improvise, the rest of the squadron wouldn't realize our disparity either we were the only two sent out to scout and our communicators were blocked due to the surroundings in this isolated place if we could somehow could pick up their frequency and call in backup we might have a chance of survival but these men were highly trained soldiers under the commands of warlord Zakiav. We have to take this one step at a time I thought to myself reassuring my mind this is what I prepared for, I hit on my chest securing my thoughts of confidence, and opened my mouth speaking in a low tone as I raised my arm and placed my hand on Prices shoulder as he was looking down his sights aimed at the entrance of the tunnel we just came in prepared to shoot at any soldier who would dare walk by the dark, musk sewage pipe. "Captain, what do you advise we do?" Price spoke with his old aging voice, you could tell he was getting almost to old to fight these battles anymore his aging voice went along with his wounds and scars across himself from wounds back in his prime time, "infiltrate their facility and see if we can hook up a distress call back to base and get out of here!" He lowered his gun slightly propping it on his self to grab a Cigar out of his pocket on his lower leg that was strapped with Velcro, lighted it and smoked it before we went out. Price threw the smoking cigar and pulled off a decoy grenade from his belt and slowly stepped out of the pipe the sun welcomed him with a bright glow blinding him from seeing he threw up his hand guarding his eyes, and threw the decoy over away from our area and hunkered back down and commanded me to follow his lead as we started to hear the gunfire decoys of the grenade he tossed out, I ran out with my M4 in position to fire, greeted by the sunlight as well I hustled up the ditch and ran while crouched to a shaded corner as I peeped a look at men walking towards the sounds of gunfire with their weapons raised.
