YuGiOh: Galactic Existence

A young shut-in is offered a chance to live a new life in a different world while playing the game she really likes and enjoys, all while seeing some well-known faces, as well as new ones, will contain almost of the characters from each anime. (lame summary, but give it a chance. Will mainly focus around a few OCs).

2. Chapter 2

Chapter two: Trials and Trouble

It has been about 30 minutes since Kaila arrived in her new home world, and she has been walking for a very long time, so much so, that she was beyond pissed right now. "UUUUUGH! You could have brought me somewhat closer to some sort of city or something, wouldn't you say, Origina?" She yelled to the sky, getting no response other than the howling of the flowing breeze. "(Sigh) and now I'm just talking to myself." She than looked at her deck case and saw that there was a fresh deck of cards slotted in. "Huh, how did I not notice these before?" She asked herself.

She was going to take the cards out and look at them until she heard something, some sort of... hovering sound, she began looking around for the source of the noise, until she saw something way off in the distance, and it was getting closer and closer with each second. "Uh oh, I'd better duck and cover." Kaila said to herself. She looked around for a place to hide and ducked behind a bush a bit away from the trail she was on.

The thing was right above the trail and began to descend to ground level, when she saw what had descended, she realized that it was a man. He had light blue hair paired with pink accents, coupled with green eyes, and was wearing a futuristic jumpsuit with a yellow line running down the left side of it, this man was Yusaku Fujiki, but the weird thing that was different about him was that he had two blue holographic wings hovering near his back. "This should be the near the area that the anomaly that popped up, time that I get to searching." He said to himself with a blank expression.

Kaila was able to recognize him and immediately her mind began to jump all over the place. "Wait a sec, that's Yusaku from that one YuGiOh anime, YuGiOh Vrains, what's he doing here? Is he here to find me? To capture me? What was that talk about an anomaly? What could he possibly want with-" her crazed thinking came to an end when a leaf from a tree branch above her fell onto her neck, "AAAAAAAAHH!" She yelled in a panic.

"WHO'S THERE!" Yusaku turned around with his armed raised and hands balled into a fist, when she saw how... unthreatening, Kaila was, he lowered his guard a little, a little. "Who are you?" he asked in a low voice.

Kaila began to pick herself off the ground and began to recollect herself. "Um, uh, sorry for startling you," she apologized "My name is Kaila Serioku, it's, um, nice to meet you, Yusaku." The moment she said that she realized that she made a mistake.

"How do you know my name? Are you involved with the anomaly somehow?" Yusaku began to raise his voice and narrow his eyes.

"Ah, a- an- anomaly, I, um, don't know wha-" Yusaku interrupted her by pulling out a sky-blue and black deck case and holding it up to his mouth. "Wait don't tell that those cases could also be..." Yusaku began speaking into the case.

"This is agent Yusaku Fujiki, I've got a suspect that could have a connection to the anomaly that took place at one seven hundred hours today, requesting immediate backup and pickup cruiser." Kaila began to freak out over the military talk Yusaku was speaking.

"This is bad, I- I've..." Kaila began to do the one thing she could do at a time like that, "I'VE GOT TO RUN!" She began to book it deep into the forest.

Behind her though, Yusaku began to catch up to her by leaping from tree to tree, until he was able to cut her off by jumping down in front of her quite quickly.

"L- look, I'm not here to harm anyone, I'm here to-" She was cut off when she heard a loud noise from up above her, she looked and saw a trio of giant flying ships descending from a portal in the sky, Kaila was both awestruck and fearful at what she saw, the ship then began to fire a blue laser around the forest in a wide radius, as soon as it made a full circle, a bright blue light began to blind her, when the light died down, what she saw shocked her.

"The forest, it's all..." A perfect circular clearing had been carved into the forest, leaving nothing but green grass on the ground. "It's all gone." She gasped.

"That's the least of your problems!" a booming voice said in a mocking tone as the ships landed, they then opened up a hatch on each of their backsides, making a bunch of... creatures pour out of the ships.

"Are those... Cyberse-type duel monsters?!" Kaila thought in a panic.

She was able to make the duel monsters out as monsters like Bitrooper, Code Generator, Cyberse Wizard, Launcher Commander, Leotron, Linkslayer, Code talker, and Secure Gardna, but one was standing over them as commander. "De-" Kaila stuttered.

It was a knight of sorts, with a purple and black cybernetic jumpsuit underneath blue armor with purple orbs and golden lines and spikes, and in its right hand was a sword made out of purple solidified data. "Decode Talker." She whispered.

"The True and only, now let's get down to business, I heard from Yusaku that you're a suspect concerning the anomaly that took place today, is that true?" Decode talker asked holding his sword backhanded.

"I don't even know what that anomaly is, what is going on, I've only just gotten to this world and-" Kaila was cut off.

"Wait a second." Kaila stopped complaining and looked at Decode talker frozen. "You say that you've only just gotten here, but your wardrobe is singing a different tune, why are you dressed like you got rolled out of bed in a forest?" He asked.

"DAMNIT ORIGINA! This would a good time for you to pop up now." Kaila yelled in her head.

"All you had to do was ask."

Kaila Thought that she might have been hallucinating noise, but a card soaring out of her deck case explained otherwise, the card began to grow and rematerialize as Origina with her eyes closed.

"Hello there, Decode Talker, how can I, alongside my friend assist you?" Origina asked in a light tone.

Decode Talker was surprised to see a new monster appear out of the girls pocket, but he stood his ground. "What is up with that girl? Or partner if you prefer." He asked holding his sword with both hands.

"She is from another world." Making some of the Cyberse-type monsters look at her with a deadpanned expression.

"Do we look stupid to you, lady?" One of the Bitroopers yelled.

"Yeah, who isn't on this planet nowadays?" A Balancer Lord added.

"Huh?" Kaila wondered what that was supposed to mean. "What does that mean?" She asked in her head.

"I assure you, little one, I am very much serious." She outstretched an arm, pointing to Kaila, "Kaila here, is the one who is destined to be the partner of me, Origina, the Battle Deity of Origins! The leader of the Battle Deity archetype!" She declared aloud, shocking the others, even Yusaku and Decode Talker.

"What!"

"Impossible!"

"That's ludicrous!"

Decode talker slammed his sword into the ground silencing his cohorts. "That's impossible, the Battle Deity archetype is supposed to be an urban legend scattered across the galaxy." He yelled at Origina.

"Hhmm, okay then, shall the two of us prove it then." She proposed.

Yusaku cut in. "Are you saying that you and us will settle this matter in a duel?" He clarified.

"That's the plan."

The concept of a duel against the one and only Yusaku Fujiki made Kaila's knees start to wobble. "But I've never been in a duel like this before."

"Calm down, little one."

"But I-" Origina placed a finger on her lips, silencing her.

"Just focus on my words." Kaila calmed down and tried to do so.

"Close your eyes, slow your breathing and relax." Kaila began to feel at peace, while her eyes were closed though, Origina began channeling energy through her body, it felt... incredible to her. She then felt like was being draped in energy, when the feeling subsided and she opened her eyes, she was wearing something completely different.

She was wearing a black jumpsuit with yellow stripes running through it, not exposing an inch of skin (save for everyone from the neck up). She was wearing black heel-like boots and had a metal gray brace around her right wrist. A metal gray belt was wrapped tightly around her waist. And to literally top it off, she had a golden metallic headband on her head that had a retractable visor stored in it. "Whoa."

"Okay, we're ready." Origina declared, shocking Kaila.

"Very well then, LET'S DUEL!" Yusaku yelled.

He grabbed his deck case and gripped it until began to crack and break, the deck case then rematerialized onto Yusaku's left arm, reforming itself into a blue and white gauntlet with a red streak on the left side, which then sprouted a black energy tray with a sky-blue outline on the left side.

"A duel disk…" Kaila whispered, realized what she had to do.

She took out her own deck case (which was attached to her metal belt), and began to grip as hard as she could, the case then shattered to pieces and reconstructed on her left arm, forming a yellow, white and black gauntlet, with a diamond like jewel on the top of the hand, which sprouted out a black energy tray with a yellow outline with spikes on the sides.

She stared at Yusaku, while he stared back at her, each glaring at each other before instinctively touching the top of their duel disks, drawing five cards. "DUEL!" they both yelled out, a gauge appeared above each of them, showing that they each had 8000 Life Points and five cards in their hand.

"I'll go first," Yusaku said waving his hand in front of him, then smiled. "Looks like I can go all out right now, I activate Bitrooper's effect from my hand, by sending a level 2 or lower monster from my hand the graveyard, I can special summon this card to the field, I discard Latency from my hand, come forth, Bitrooper."

He put one card from his hand into a slot in his duel disk, the card going into said slot. Then a blue portal appeared in front of Yusaku, and out came a Bitrooper, standing ready for anything.

"At this time Latency's effect activates, when it's added to my hand via card effect, I can special summon it." He slapped Latency's card on the duel disk.

"Appear, the circuit that leads to the future!" Yusaku held his hand to the sky, and a giant blue square shaped circuit board with 8 blank arrows surrounding it appeared in the air. "Arrowheads confirmed, the summoning conditions are two effect monsters, I place on Latency and Bitrooper on the link markers." Said monsters turned into a pink and white tornado respectively and smashed into the arrowheads on the top and bottom.

"Circuit combine! Link summon! To the battlefield, Link 2, Code Talker!" A gray beam of light erupted from the circuit and flew to a Code Talker already present in the area.

"Oh yeah, let's brawl!" It cried as it jumped onto the field with vigor.

"Latency's effect: When this card, summoned by its effect, is sent to the graveyard as link material, I draw one card." A light-blue ring with three blue thin slots in it formed around his wrist, a card popped out of the slot on the top, and he took it and added it to his hand.

"Appear once more, the circuit that leads to the future!" Another circuit board appeared.

"Another one?!" Kaila exclaimed.

"Arrowheads confirmed, the summoning conditions are at least 2 effect monsters, I place Code talker and ROM Cloudia on the link markers!"

"Aw, already?" Code Talker complained before he and ROM Cloudia turned into two gray tornadoes and one black tornado respectively, slamming into the arrowheads on the top, bottom-left, and bottom-right.

"Circuit combine! Link summon! To the battlefield, Link 3, Decode Talker!" This time, a large purple laser blasted out of the circuit board and struck Decode Talker, energizing him for battle as he leaped in front of Yusaku, ready to battle.

"Alright then, my turn. Draw!" The jewel on her duel disk glowed and she put her hand down on it, she swung her hand out afterwards with a card in her hand. "How am I doing this, it's like I've done this my whole life, could this be…" She flashbacked to feeling she got when Origina touched her. "Could this be the feeling a felt that time?" She thought to herself.

She took a card from her hand. "I'll start with this, I normal summon Battle Deity Disciple – Carla in attack mode." She slapped the card onto her duel disk and a woman appeared on the field. She seemed to be in her early 20's, with long straight blond hair, she wore red valkyrie-like armor with orange frills, and for weaponry, had two red swords sheathed to her side.

"May our battles be the finest in the world." She exclaimed drawing her swords.

"Then there's no doubt about it then, the Battle Deity archetype is real, but can it match us is the question." Decode whispered.

"I activate Carla's ability, when she's normal summoned, I can normal summon one extra 'Battle Deity' monster, with that in mind, I normal summon Battle Deity Disciple – Laura." She placed the card on her duel disk and out came another woman appeared on the field, this time, it was a woman who appeared to be in her early 30's, with azure hair tied in a ponytail, she wore a white cloak that covered her upper body with a white shirt underneath, white pants, white armored boots, and a silver staff with a golden orb at the tip.

"It's time for some magic." Laura declared spinning her staff.

"When Laura is normal summoned, I search my deck for a 'Battle Deity' field spell to add to my hand." A holographic screen appeared from the jewel on her duel disk appeared in front of her face and depicted four cards from Yusaku's point of view.

"What card could she be planning to add to her hand?" He thought to himself.

Kaila made her decision. "I add to my hand Battle Deity Temple," the screen dissipated as a card materialized inside the orb on Laura's staff and then flew into Kaila's hand, "Now Carla's ability, she gains 500 ATK for every other level four or lower 'Battle Deity' monster I control." She declared as Carla glowed white.

Battle Deity Disciple – Carla ATK: 1700 – 2200

"I activate the field spell, Battle Deity Temple from my hand." The card appeared above Kaila glowing, it depicted the inside of a temple with a bunch of warriors kneeling to a statue of Origina. "When this card is activated, I add one level four or lower 'Battle Deity' monster from my deck to my hand," the holographic screen appeared in her face again, "I choose Battle Deity Beast – Oricat." She said picking the card.

"To think that she still has a decent number of cards in her hand, even after using all those effects." Yusaku thought.

"Battle Deity Temple's passive effect, all 'Battle Deity' monsters I control gain 300 ATK." A white aura surrounded Carla and Laura.

"Next up, since I have a 'Battle Deity' monster on the field, I can special summon Oricat to the field in attack mode." A crimson red cat appeared from a portal in the sky and landed on the field, it had a green horn on its head, two golden armored claws on its forepaws, and had two golden tail rings on its tail.

Kaila raised her hand into the air. "Arise, circuit of the battle deities." A circuit board appeared in the air. "Arrowheads confirmed, the summoning condition is one "Battle Deity" monster, I set Oricat on the link marker." Oricat jumped into the air and turned into a red tornado and slammed into the center bottom arrow.

"Circuitry combination! Link summon! Descend, Link 1, Great Battle Deity Disciple – Nua!" A little girl emerged from the circuit board this time; she was wearing a witch's hat, a purple skirt, lavender boots, a cloak that concealed her arms, and a choker with a yellow ring on the side, she also had black eyes and purple hair, and by her left side was a large ring with magenta lines on it.

"I'll do my best." Nua said in a shrill voice. She levitated the ring in front of her expanded it, the space inside lit up as a boy emerged from the ring.

The boy appeared to be 12 years old with blue hair, and was wearing blue light body armor over a light blue shirt and had blue greaves on his arms; he was wearing brown pants and wielded a silver dagger in his right hand. "You need help, then I'm your guy!" He said happily.

Kaila looked at the kid wide-eyed before speaking up. "Um, is it really safe for a kid like you to be on the battlefield, and to be holding a knife so casually?" Kaila asked rubbing her head.

"Bah, wouldn't you like to know." Lox said brushing off the question.

Kaila rolled her eyes before continuing her turn. "Arise again, the circuit of the battle deities." Another circuit board appeared in the sky. "This time, the summoning conditions are 2+ "Battle Deity" monsters, I set, on the link markers, Nua, Lox, and Carla." The three disciples turned into purple, blue, and red tornadoes respectively, and slammed into all the arrows on the bottom.

"Circuitry combination! Link summon! Descend now, the disciple that makes the earth roar, Link 3, Great Battle Deity Disciple – Axelo." A man emerged from the circuit, he was wearing brown armor that covered his entire body, not exposing an inch of skin, his armored feet had wheels on the sides of the heels for quicker movement, and a large steel axe in his right hand.

"Guess who's back!" He said excitedly.

"Carla's effect, when she's sent to the graveyard to summon 'Battle Deity' monster, that monster gains 500 ATK until the end phase." Axelo slammed his axe into the dirt as he gained more power through a red aura surrounding his body.

Great Battle Deity Disciple – Axelo ATK: 2700 - 3200

"Next up is Axelo's effect, I special summon one 'Battle Deity' monster from my graveyard that was originally from my deck, revive, Carla." Carla reappeared on the field.

Battle Deity Disciple – Carla ATK: 1700 – 3000

"Just how can this be?"

"So many Divine attributed monsters."

"At such a rapid pace too."

"They've got to be the real deal then."

Kaila overheard the talk the cyberse monsters were making but continued on anyways. "Now for something really big."

Yusaku raised an eyebrow before tightening his stance in preparation.

"I build the overlay network using Battle Deity Disciples, Carla and Laura." The disciples in question turned into white lights and soared into the sky, a galaxy-like portal opened in the ground as the lights flowed into it, as the overlay network exploded in light.

"Blazing warrior who lives by the way of the sword, descend to the battlefield swing your sword, AND CUT DOWN YOUR FOES! Xyz summon, blaze onward, the disciple that burns down evil, Rank 4, Great Battle Deity Disciple – Agnika." A pillar of fire erupted from the network and a woman clad in crimson red bikini armor burst out of it with swing of her sword, the blade itself resembled a solid flame with embers flowing off of it, and two red orbs were hovering behind her.

"I activate Agnika's effect, once per turn, by using one overlay unit, I can target one special summoned monster you control, and reduce its ATK by 1000, and if that monster is in the extra monster zone, you take 1000 points of damage." An overlay unit flew into the sky as Agnika raised her sword up, the overlay unit collided with the sword and Agnika slammed the blade into the dirt.

"Spiritual burn." She shouted.

Suddenly Decode Talker knelt down on one knee as he clenched his chest in pain as a red aura surrounded.

"Decode Talker!" Yusaku called out to him, but then saw a ring of fire surround him, one second later, a pillar of fire erupted from the ground, damaging Yusaku.

Decode Talker ATK: 2300 - 1300

"Dammit, you're going to pay for that." Decode Talker cursed.

"We'll see, I tribute Lox in order to Tribute summon Battle Deity Disciple – Saro." Lox raised his dagger to the sky and become a storm of blue particles that rematerialized as a new knight-like being. The knight was a man, wearing silver armor all over his body, and had a pair of spiked gauntlets on his arms.

"Its time to battle, Agnika, attack Decode Talker!" Kai ordered.

Agnika charged at Decode Talker dragging her sword along the ground and burning grass as she did, she jumped up with her sword held up high, Decode Talker looked at her, not in fear, but in knowing confidence.

"I activate my spell, Cynet Backdoor!" Yusaku declared.

And with that, Decode Talker vanished in thin air, making Agnika miss her target.

"WHAT!" Kaila exclaimed.

"Cynet Backdoor banishes one cyberse monster on my field until the next standby phase, and then I add one cyberse monster with lower ATK than it from my deck to my hand. I choose to add Micro Coder to my hand." Yusaku explained adding a card to his hand."

"Fine then, Agnika, Axelo, Saro, attack together." Kaila ordered as all three of her monsters jumped at Yusaku.

"It won't work, I activate a trap. Cynet Barricade!" A grid-like wall appeared in front of Yusaku, blocking the way between him and Kaila's monsters. "When a Cyberse monster I control leaves the field either by battle or card effect, I can end this turn's battle phase." He explained as the barrier dissipated.

"Clever move." Kaila said smiling. "I wouldn't want the duel to be over so soon, I set one card face-down and end my turn." She said setting a card.

"I admit that it's a shocker that you've mastered a deck like that, but you've got a long way to go to defeating my, suspect." Yusaku exclaimed pointing at Kaila.

"What's his problem?" She asked herself as the two stared off at each other.

Yep, I rewrote the whole first part of the duel, mainly because the Omnimaiden archetype that I originally planned to use in this fanfic were honestly, kinda scattered as to what they did, so I decided to scrap that archetype and switch it with the Battle Deity archetype, an archetype that, being brutally honest here, is a bit of a work and progress, but I'm still proud as to how its starting to turn out.

P.S. By the way, I was wondering if it would be a good idea for me to use cards that you can find off the YUGIOH Card Maker Wiki, I'm kinda going to try and do so anyway, but please tell me if that's a bad idea so that I don't have to see this story get taken down.

Another P.S. I was thinking about making a yugioh arc v fanfic with a couple of new... inclusions to say the least, and a few archetypes making their introduction to this story , so if that shows up, check it out sometime.
