Ok then, time to get to school and meet my sister. I was back on my way from my stressing conversation with Naruto when I heard another voice from behind me although I didn't recognise it.
"Hey kid. Where are you off to?" I turned around to see some spikey haired guy. He didn't look that much older than me so I decided to talk to him.
"I'm going to the academy. By the way my name is Mogane Kume." He looked like a friendly guy so it was pretty easy to talk to him.
"You're going to the academy huh? What a drag. I graduated not too long ago. My name's Shikadai." He seemed nice and I kind of wanted to keep talking to him because I'm a pretty outward guy except when it comes to Naruto, but I had to get to class.
"That's nice, but I've got to go or I'll be late." I really didn't have time to talk to this guy.
"I was on my way there anyway, I've got to talk to one of the teachers about something." Well, that's convenient.
"Alright then, let's go." After that, we walked to the academy and started talking.
"So, Mogane, tell me about yourself since I don't know you."
"Well, I live just outside the village in the woods."
"It must be a pain for your parents to get to the market."
"I don't live with my parents." This caused a bit of an awkward silence.
"I'm sorry."
"No, it's ok, they're not dead."
"Well, not to pry but why don't you live with them then." He said as he was prying. I didn't mind though. I liked talking to him.
"My father tried to kill me but my mother hid me away for my safety." Not exactly the truth but not a complete lie.
"That's pretty tough." I tried not to think about how true that statement was.
"Yeah but it's not all bad."
"How?"
"I get to do almost whatever I want."
"Yeah but still, it's got to get lonely sometimes."
"Yeah, that's why I do a lot. I do it because it helps me forget." This genuinely wasn't a lie. I would always try to do stuff when I'm alone at the house. Anything to forget that I can't see my mom more than one or two times a month or that the person who's supposed to be the protector of all wants me dead for being alive. After that, Shikadai and I walked in silence a while before we got to the academy.
"Goodbye, Mogane, hopefully we can talk later. I'll introduce you to my friend, Boruto." This really got me interested. In one week, I have been able to find a way to meet both of my half siblings.
"That sounds nice. Anyway, I've got to get to class so see you later." Then, I went to the entrance ceremony.
As I reached the door and was stopped by some guy, "Who are you?"
"I'm Mogane Kume, and I really don't have time to talk right now."
"I don't think you're gonna have a choice."
"What are you talking about." It was obvious from my tone that I was tired of this conversation.
"I mean I don't believe you're in the registry."
"I am."
"We'll see. Come with me."
"This is bullshit." I didn't want to go with him but if I caused a scene, it would look suspicious.
"Oh well. Not my problem." He then took me to the police station after that. And by the time that they had checked their records for me, the ceremony was over. I didn't even get to meet my sister. Anyway, since Shikadai offered to introduce me to my brother, I decided to take him up on the offer. It didn't take much walking around to find him.
"Hey, Shikadai, wait up!" I shouted as I tried to catch up to him.
"Hey, Mogane, what's up? How did the ceremony go?"
"I couldn't tell you if I wanted to."
"Why's that?"
"The police had me detained."
"Why?"
"They thought I wasn't registered."
"Are you?"
"What? Registered? Of course."
"So I'm guessing that you didn't get to talk to any of your friends either."
"I don't have that many friends."
"Ok, who are your friends?"
"You're probably my only friend."
"Come one. A guy like you has got to have some friends."
"I really don't."
"Ok, well, I could introduce you to my friend Boruto." This was a way to salvage a bad day so I went for it.
"Sure."
"Ok, then, let's get going. I'm pretty sure he's at his house right now." Well, this would be a risk. Going into the heart of enemy territory where there would be multiple people who would get pissed if I was found out there, but I would get to meet my brother and maybe my sister too.
"Ok, I'm coming."
We walked for a couple minutes before we got to Boruto's place and Shikadai walked up the door and knocked. After a few minutes, mom answered the door. I guess it's time to see if it will fool her until tomorrow.
"Hey, Shikadai. If you're looking for Boruto, he's up in his room. Who's that?" She asked as she noticed me.
"This is Mogane Kume. He's new in town and thought he could use some friends."
"Well, that's nice. Anyway, your mother told me that she didn't want you spending too much time over here if you came over today."
"Alright. I won't be here long."
As we were walking up to Boruto's room, Shikadai started talking.
"You were really quiet back there, you alright?"
"Yeah I'm fine."
"Ok, you just seemed a little quiet is all."
So we went up and I introduced myself to Boruto and we talked for a while then Shikadai left because of his mom. This left only me and Boruto.
"So Boruto, what do you usually do when you're bored?"
"I mess around and do random stuff. I remember one time I crashed a train into the stone faces." I busted out laughing at this.
"What happened after that?"
"Well I almost got away with it except for suspension at the academy."
"Why."
"My father's the hokage. That's why."
"What do you think of him?"
"What?"
"Your father."
"Well I can't stand the man at all."
"Yeah I guess a lot of people don't like their dads. Anyway, I've got to go." I had to get out bad or my chakra would run out since I've been using it all day for the transformation jutsu. If I run out now, I'll turn back to normal and that wouldn't be good.
"Ok, well, see you later."
"You too."
Then, I left to go back home and prepared for tomorrow.
