Hey there guys! It's been a while hasn't it? Oh well I have finally figured out where I want to go with this story so now I will officially begin working on it.

I hope that I will find some more ObiRin fans out there who will read this story. Honestly Obito is the most tragic villain in all of Naruto. I just can't see him as a bad guy, I mean if any normal person went through what he did then they would turn out exactly the same way.

Disclaimer: I do not in anyway own Naruto/ Naruto Shippuden or Bleach.

She didn't know how long she had been in this place. Time seemed to flow differently in the dead sands of this dark desert.

The atmosphere was thick with tension as the very air seemed to fluctuate between the endless silence and the keening roar of hollows fighting each other to the death.

She had long ago learnt that there were only two ways to survive in this place.

She had no desire to consume the other monsters that lurked in this place, regardless of the fact that they often resorted to cannibalism in order to survive.

The only other way to survive in a place like this was to remain undetected, something she excelled at.

She had found a small cave hidden away within the confines of one of the few mountains dotting the landscape of this place. The entrance was just big enough to let her through but too small for the larger monsters to chase her through.

The cave system ran straight into the heart of the mountain, splitting off into several pathways and connecting chambers.

She liked it there, the darkness called to her… it was comforting.

Yes, she thought smugly to herself, hiding was indeed the best way to survive.

She screeched, clutching her head at the sudden appearance of a migraine.

A boy, wearing a black mask encompassing the whole lower half of his face and possessing a mop of shockingly white hair that seemed to defy gravity itself.

Gray eyes locked onto hers and she could almost smell the disgust on him.

"Only a coward runs from a fight."

She hissed at the imaginary apparition in front of her, swiping at it with her long talons.

The masked boy disappeared back into the depths of her subconscious.

Who knows how long she had been in this place. It felt like it had been a long time but she couldn't be sure.

She couldn't even be sure that she fully understood the definition of time anymore.

A strangled growl made its presence known within the auditory senses of her brain. Turning she saw that one of the creatures from the desert was making its way towards her, limping heavily.

Her first encounter with one of the masked monsters since she had found this cave oh so long ago.

The monster was covered in layers of bonelike plates, constantly shifting as the monster moved but resembling an exoskeleton of some kind.

Emerald eyes met her own as the monster warily circled around her and began shuffling backwards towards the small pool of water that lay at the centre of the cavern.

She noted with mild interest that there was a horrific chunk of flesh missing from the creature's thigh, she was just able to make out the glistening shards of splintered bone hidden deep within the wound.

Bite-marks

The monster's eyes began to sag and with one final keen, it fell as its injured leg gave out. The heaving of its chest the only indication that the monster had not died.

Shuffling closer she felt herself salivating at this opportunity.

A free meal!

Shuffling forward as quickly as her fragile form would allow she approached the fallen monster.

Green eyes stared up at her with a mixture of dull acknowledgement. She normally would have given pause at the sight of this but the hunger was too much.

It had been so very long since she had last consumed anything.

Unable to keep the joyous screech inside of her, she let it out as if saying to all the world that this was her kill, her meal.

And she stared into those emerald eyes even as she raised her talons to strike the killing blow.

All of a sudden her arm was stopped forcefully. Confused she looked at the offending limb only to find that there was a hand resting gently upon the underside of her talons.

Time froze.

It's him again!

She began crooning in delight as the boy with goggles and hair as black as night held her hand, smiling gently at her.

Blinking she saw that her clawed hand was no longer covered in the sickly white that made up the rest of the bonelike armour covering her form. It was… soft, thin and an odd shade of pink.

Another hand came to rest on top of hers. Quickly, she looked up, afraid that if she didn't keep looking at him then the boy would disappear.

The boy with goggles and hair as black as night began looking around conspiratorially, that goofy smile never leaving his face. Quickly he turned back to her and without warning, kissed the top of her hand.

She couldn't help but screech with joy, the hole in her chest providing a pleasant burning sensation.

He kissed me! He kissed me!

The boy looked up at her, laughing and giving her a slow wink, a blush already dusting over his cheeks as though embarrassed by his actions.

She didn't understand why he would be though.

"Sorry about that"

She wasn't.

"It's just… your hands are so beautiful, these aren't the hands of a ninja though."

Angry at this comment for some reason she growled lowly at the boy.

"What?! Are you saying that I'm not good enough to be a ninja?!" She didn't recognise the voice as her own but she knew it must be.

The boy laughed nervously in response, rubbing soothing circles on the skin of her hand.

"No! It's just that… I look at these hands and I think… these hands are meant to give life, to preserve it… not to give death."

The boy with goggles faded away before her eyes and she felt a wave of immeasurable sadness and shame flow over her.

The monster with emerald eyes watched her with equal measures of confusion and wariness present within each orb.

She began crooning softly to the monster, reaching down with both hands to place them over the wounded thigh.

The monster hissed in agony as taloned hands made contact with rent flesh and bone but made no move to stop her.

And in the darkness of the cave within the mountain, a soft glow began to appear.

Konoha.

Village Hidden in the Leaves.

The Crowning Jewel of the Land of Fire.

Various other names and titles rattled around inside his mind, all of them leaving a bad taste in his mouth.

And to think that he had once sworn to defend this pathetic excuse for a village with his life made him want to retch.

Then why are you here?

He knew why he had come.

He had come for her as he always did every year on this night.

It was almost eerily quiet, a silence had fallen, blanketing the entirety of the Elemental Nations.

Only a few lights now flickered in the village, despite it not being even ten.

It would seem that they have already begun enforcing a curfew upon the civilians in preparation for the upcoming war… my war.

If they only knew that their greatest enemy was inside of their village. He thought wryly to himself.

He wondered idly what their reaction would be if they saw him standing on top of the Hokage faces.

"Zetsu… why are you following me?" He asked to the empty air.

Looking down, he saw the black and white face of his… compatriot staring at him from the stone surface between his feet.

"Curiosity" The white half stated innocently.

"This is a mistake coming here. Every time you do this you risk unnecessary capture! You are putting the entire plan at risk by coming to visit some dead girl!" The black half spat viciously even as the white half gave him an apologetic look.

The air seemed to grow cold and Zetsu couldn't help but sweat as he locked gazes with a fully awakened Rinnegan and Mangekyo Sharingan.

"You're right… coming here was a mistake… you should leave while you still can." He threatened darkly.

Not bothering to check whether Zetsu heeded his words or not, he began making his way through the village, headed towards his destination as quickly and quietly as possible.

He gently caressed the stone engraving of the shinobi memorial stone.

Rin Nohara

Reaching inside of his cloak he retrieved his desired object.

A beautiful blood red rose clutched delicately within his hands.

"I brought you a present… I hope you like it." He whispered to her.

Placing the rose at the feet of the stone he stood there, staring at the name as though it would trigger something within him, some long lost feeling of nostalgia.

Obito Uchiha

Nothing… that name meant nothing to him anymore.

He was simply Tobi now, a masked man forced to live in a world filled only with despair.

He traced her name with his fingers gently, lovingly.

My only reason for living is gone. Now I live simply for the plan.

Leaning in close to her, he whispered delicately.

"Happy Birthday."

Well there you go! I present to you the second chapter to Him and Her.

Don't worry they will meet, I promise!

I must also apologise... not my best writing but then its been a while since I last updated any of my stories. It will improve and I will reupload chapters if necessary.

I must it admit it is a lot of fun writing Hollows. They have always come across as being cheap cartoon villains so I decided to write them as they should be.

Completely animalistic, filled with primal energy and unable to communicate through talk as they sometimes do on the show Bleach (Arrancars and Espadas excluded).

By the way can anyone guess who the other hollow is?

In addition I want to make It clear that I won't be overpowering anyone and that I WILL NOT USE OC'S unless absolutely necessary to the plot. I hate OC's (Mary Sue's all of them!) if I do have OC's then it is guaranteed that they will be killed off or forgotten.

Now that that little rant is out of the way…
