My Secret
I keep my distance
but yet, I'm near.
I feel his eyes on me,
my feelings unclear.
Guarding his secret,
from the girls around.
It's because of him,
that I was found.
The snow was falling
the night quite cold.
My earliest memory,
was of him alone.
With his hand held out
and covered with blood
He led me away
to my new home.
Though years have past,
And much has changed.
My feelings for him,
remain the same.
Through my child like eyes,
he was just a brother.
But in becoming a woman, I wanted more.
When he was near,
my heart would flutter.
My mouth went dry,
and I would start to stutter.
I bow to him,
my eyes to the floor.
Not wanting him to know,
my secret I've kept.
