"I told you this was better than a dog," Justine said.
"This is better than anything," Olivia exclaimed hugging first Jordon and then Justine.
She paused.
"How is this possible," she asked, "and when did you find out?"
"I swear I just found out today," Justine said, "I was taking a walk around midnight-"
Olivia normally would have reprimanded Justine for going out so late at night. It was dangerous and all of that but in this case she decided to let it go.
"I saw him on the beach," she added.
"You walked all the way down to the beach," Olivia asked,
"I really couldn't sleep," Justine said.
"We knew that your birthday was today so we decided to surprise you. I slept in the shed-"
"You slept in the shed? Jordan you're not a dog."
"It was late," Jordan said, "I thought I might wake you if I came inside."
"Honey," Olivia said, "That would have been the best thing to wake up to."
Stan was at the hospital when Olivia called.
"Hey honey," Stan said, "I'll be home early for your birthday dinner."
"Stan I need you to come home right now," Olivia said.
"Why what's wrong," Stan asked alarmed.
"Why do you always assume something is wrong," Olivia said, "I just need you to come home right now."
"Is it important," Stan asked.
"Hell yes," Olivia said, "More important than you can begin to imagine."
"Fine but it better be important," Stan got one of his residents to cover for him. He drove home.
Meanwhile Charlotte received a call from Olivia.
"Come on over mom," Olivia said, "It's important."
"Is something wrong," Charlotte asked.
"Not even close," Olivia said, "something is very, very right."
"I'm on my way," Charlotte said.
