Chapter 2: Family reunion

Klaus rushed into the house. Both his sibling were gone and he had left Hayley home alone with two guards outside the door

The guards, well they were up in the trees, both had a stake in their heart.

Klaus tried to look for Hayley, but didn't find her in her bedroom.

She will pay for this

Then he heard a scream from the back garden. An obvious Hayley scream

He rushed in to the garden to find her under the surface in the pool, pushed down by her.

She had not changed much since he last saw her, though that was a lifetime ago. Her blonde hair had grown longer, but her one eye stared intense at him as he walked out to the edge of the pool. And, of course, the scar surprised him as it always did, with its dreadful look as it went down the whole left side of her face. She stood by the other side of the pool, and she had vengeance in her eye, though, her smirk showed something else.

God, how could she be here?

"Jeyne" he said carefully

"Klaus" She said with the same careful tone, in mock

"Let her go now, or I will rip your throat out."

"Glad to know you still care, I want what is mine first" Jeyne said with her hand out, now with a hand around Hayley's neck.

He knew she was talking about the ring.

"Marcel has it"

"Liar, liar, pants on fire! I thought you would be better at lying like this Nikki!" Of course she would you use the nickname she had invented for him, he hated it.

He still waited by the side of the other side of the pool, waiting, as he heard a noise of someone coming.

"Do I need to count from three, Nikki?"

He still waited.

"Three"

Wating.

"Two."

Almost.

"One."

Rebekah came surprisingly behind her and tried to snap her neck , but Jeyne, who was always prepared, dropped Hayley and took Rebekah's arms and broke them, and as Rebekah screamed on the ground, Klaus managed to get his arm around her neck, not hard enough to break it, but just enough to make her fight for air.

"Well, that's certainly no way to treat a lady, especially a pregnant one." He whispered in Jeyne's ear, but she just laugh. "Oh sorry, do think that was supposed to be scary, Nikki?" Jeyne said with a hint of humour in her tone, but it just made Klaus harden his grip around her precious neck. Rebekah had finally gotten her arms together, and angrily said

"Why are you here Jeyne?"

"To get what was stolen from me, of course," Jeyne said.

"But you're supposed to be dead!" Klaus almost screamed.

"I'm a ghost who has come to haunt you." She said while she was struggling to breathe. "You see, hell called, they want you back" Jeyne said to Klaus, distracting him long enough to kick him the stomach with her sharp heel, then she gave him an elbow in his face. She got loose and ran to Hayley, who had just got her breath and tried to run to the house, but Jeyne caught her and took a knife to her throat. Where that knife came from, Klaus couldn't figure out. Hayley stared at Klaus with fright in her eyes, and Jeyne's scar burned in his eyes.

"Give it to her Klaus, whatever it is that she wants" Rebekah screamed. She was taking her promise about taking care of Hayley very seriously.

So did Klaus, so he tossed the little bag to Jeyne, which she grabbed instantly and let go of Hayley, who breathed heavily.

"Now, that wasnt so har, was it?" Jeyne's face expression was completely different now, changed from revengeful to amuse. She was a little over on the unstable side.

Just like her husband.

She grabbed the ring and put it on her ring finger, and felt a rash of goodness trough her body.

"Now, lets go in so we can have a proper chit chat." His sort-of-sister-in-law said with open arms.
