Late Blossom { Isogai X Reader } Part 1
Spring had finally knocked on the door and a sheet of colorful flowers spread its' fragrance all around. Our class had decided to go flower picking in the flower picking valley. It was an hour journey to the destination.
Fresh air, heavy with perfume, breezed past my hair as I welcomed all the scenery of the place and engraved it in my heart. I took a deep breath and entered the valley.
Kurahashi was especially excited about all the beautiful flowers and bugs. She flocked merrily around the valley. I smiled at her. I saw Kayano make a flower crown, and present it to Nagisa. He smiled at her and placed the on her head. At a distance from them, I saw Okano weaving a flower necklace, affectionately. I chuckled at the realization that it must be for Maehara. Kataoka was chasing Okajima for God-knows-why. Hayami and Chiba were petting small animals in the area. Everyone was having fun.
While I was looking around, my eyes fixed upon a certain flower bud, among the bouquet of flowers. I hadn't seen Maehara, until he came before me, grinning like an idiot.
"Oh hey, Maehara," I said to him.
"Isogai is not with you, I see", he said searching for him.
"No-no, he is not", I looked down.
"Don't worry! I'll find him and then both of you can be together", he smiled and winked.
"What are you up to?", I blinked at him.
"Match-making", he ran off.
He knew that I had a crush on our class representative, Isogai Yuuma. Infact, he knew every love gossip except his own story. I saw him going towards Isogai. 'What will he do?', I wondered. He grabbed his hand and dragged him towards me. I sweatdropped as Isogai just looked confused.
"Let's Make Flower Necklaces", Maehara declared as I deadpanned.
As we were picking flowers, I shifted towards him a little and whispered, " This idea is a bit cliched, don't you think?", I voice my uncertainty.
"Stop complaining and give him the flower necklace", Maehara said and pushed me on him.
I gave him the flower necklace to which he just smiled and took it. Like a prince!
"Well, that didn't go far", Maehara placed his hand on his chin "This might prove more challenging than I thought".
