Hello everyone,

You know the stuff, I don't own anything blah, blah, blah.
Second Chapter : Realization
Ponyboy stepped into the house with an expressionless Dallas Winston in tow. The two looked at each other before completely entering into the house. Soon as his foot collided with the floor in the silence, he was dragged inside and pinned against a wall. His head smacked the wall with a dull 'thunk' as the pain seeped behind his eyelids. Relaxing his body and eyes, he pulled an expressionless face toward his enraged eldest brother, Darryl Curtis.
That large frame of his brother's shook with rage and worry but his eyes are hard as steel and cold as ice. Chilling Ponyboy to the bone. Fighting down the urge to struggle and try and flee, he simply lifted his hands and gently laid them on his brother's hands. "Darry" Ponyboy started. "Can you put me down?" he asked, his tone drawled with boredom.
"I WILL NOT SET YOU DOWN!" Darryl bellowed out. "YOU ARE GOING TO LEAVE THIS HOUSE, TONIGHT! I'VE HAD IT WIT YOU BOY!"
Ponyboy's chest caved in when his brother kept up screaming. But his mind didn't want to process anything else besides the fact, Darryl is kicking him out. He could feel the familiar sting behind his eyes but he closed them and started to scowl. He turned that pain and sadness into anger and hatred.
Dally stood back, knowing better then to step in. 'Soda hurry!' he thought worriedly as Darry threw the boy into the wall again. He watched as Pony's face scrunched up in hatred and rage, or his eyes and how they seemed to flash and glimmer dangerously. His body kept twitching as his eyes started to cool down each word his brother said. Jumping in before anything else happens, Dally grabbed Darry's hand tightly and yanked the boy behind him.
"Lay off Darry!" Dally growled.
Darry's raged gaze locked on his brother again as he tensed and rolled his shoulders. "Fucking brat! Everyone HAS to stick up for the FUCKING WEAK PONYBOY!"
Ponyboy snapped. Those tears he's held in for months, came rushing out. The emotions he bottled up, crashed. His body language dramatically changed from hatred to depression and pain. His firey green eyes dulled into two lifeless orbs that hazied over.
To put it in better terms… Ponyboy Curtis simply broke.
Ponyboy's P.O.V
I was doing fine with the screaming and the hollerin, shit I'm use ta having it. But what really hurt me was the fact he called me weak. I am not weak. I'm stronger then him!
It was quiet after he said that, he kept staring at me. Waiting for me to say or do something. I just stared at him and turned very slowly.
I had not spoken a word and trotted very slowly up the stairs. Darry, I could feel his gaze, watched me walk up there. "Pony-!" he called out, his voice slightly high-pitched and stressed out. I forced myself to keep going, don't look back. I blinked quickly, knowing fully well I am about to cry.
I had let a few tears slip out back there, which I should have never done.
Blocking out the rest of the static noise of Darry and Dally arguing and fighting downstairs. I laid in my bed and curled tightly around myself, not knowing what to do now. He never said that before. The feeling of being the odd one came back to me. The only reason why I went to that stupid gang was because I was getting tired of being jumped and hurt by those socials. I was tired of being pushed around by everyone and made myself strong. But I'm still weak.
Fisting my hands tightly, I rolled over and jumped off the bed. Landing gently on the floor, I stocked for the window. 'Fine, I'm gone' I thought as I opened the window silently. Slipping out and closing the window, I ran down the side of the roof and lunged hard. I was going for the bushes close by, landing directly where I wanted.
Smiling bitterly at the house before standing and brushing off the dirt and leaves. I watched Darryl sob to Soda about the mistake he made and how I'll never talk ta him again. Scowling, I turned and scoffed before shoving my hands into my pockets and walking away. I am now walking away from a sheltered and good life, into a life full of blood, sex, parties, drugs and excitement. I could feel the grin slipping over my lips.
What a weird thought, I could break easily but shove it all down with the thought of hurting someone. Smiling, I picked up the pace and trotted quicker toward Jack's house.
Dally's P.O.V
I had watched in horror at the sight when Darry had bellowed at the boy, callin him weak and stuff. That kid is fucking tuff for his age. Scowling darkly, I could feel a snarl working its way up. "How fuckin' dare ya!" I spat. "he's your kid brother! Ya can't do that ta him! IT AINT RIGHT!" I howled at him, flicking my hands all over. As if indicating my point.
Darry just kept his eyes fixed on the stairs, waiting for his brother to return down stairs. His eyes became glassy with unshed tears. He'd gone too far. I watched, pulling myself further back. Darry was frozen stiff solid. Almost statue like. My eyebrow rose slowly, I wanted answers and dammit I'm getting them.
Before I could keep howling, Soda came into the backdoor with Two-Bit Mathew's behind him and Steve. Flicking my gaze toward him, Soda stopped in his tracks and stared at Darry. "What happened?" He asked.
Looking back at Darry, I saw him snap out of his trance and turn toward his brother. Narrowing my eyes, I waited. He kept opening his mouth and closing it. "Oh god!" was all he could say, covering his mouth.
I sighed, crossing my arms over my chest. "Yar big bro over there, went too far on the kid. Again." I made emphasis on the last part.
Soda stiffened visibly and dropped his bag near his feet. Slowly and tentatively, he reached for Darry and cupped his face in his hands. Liquid green/blue met melted steel blue and tears came rushin from Superman. I wanted to walk over to him and punch the daylights out of him but I decided not to. Turning away from the sight, I snorted and began my way up toward Pony's room with one foot in front of another. I don't have any idea of what lays behind that closed door but I was going to find out, one way or another.
Walking slowly up the steps, I had my hands shoved deep in my pockets with a light but tight scowl on my face as I reached the top step. Pausing, I looked around and found notin so I continued onto Pony's room, which is the last room on the left. Stopping in front of his door, I listened to any movement or any sound. Nothing. Lifting my hand, I rapped my knuckles against the wooden door lightly. After about 4 knocks, I paused to listen for the 'come in' or something like that. But I was greeted with silence.
Confusion ran high in my mind when I rapped against the door again, more urgent then before. And still no indication he was in there. Sighing, I slid my hand down the door and grasped the door knob with a tight fist and turned the knob slowly. Pushing against the door, I leaned my head in too peek around the corner and toward the darkness that waited. Searching with a critical eye, I found no traces of him being there. Besides the bed that was crumbled up from a form laying on it moments ago.
"The hell…" I growled low and swung the door open fully with flicking the light on. Searching the small room, I still found no damn Ponyboy. Looking closer around the room, I found the window a crack open. I stared for a heartbeat or two then it clicked in my mind. HE FUCKING LEFT! Racing out the room and flying down the steps, I skidded to a halt.
"HE'S GONE!" I informed with a holler. My hand flicked angerly out at Darry. "AND IT'S YOUR FAULT YA BIG IDIOT!" I screamed.
Superman coiled back from me, I could tell it stung him bad but I didn't give a shit at this point. All I cared about was finding Ponyboy. And dammit to hell, I am going for find that fucking kid.
Storming out of the house, I grabbed the keys to the Charger and left. Ponyboy was the only one in my mind at this point.
'Fucking kid, runnin' off like that.'
Pushing on the gas, I raced through town looking frantically for the kid. My heart seemed to stop beating when I came up with nothin'. Cursing under my breath, I spun the car around and slammed into the gas pedal with force. Launching the car forward, I knew just were that fucking kid would go. And I was going there to kick someone's ass.
END!
Ohhh Dally is pissed and a little worried, but he doesn't know that feeling *wink, wink* and is freaking out!
And that Ponyboy! Naughty *Tsk, tsk* running away like that and without a note! What nerve!
I hope you enjoyed that chapter, cause I didn't (I had to write it : ( )
You know the drill already,
