I own nothing... dedicated to Swag-Shockas as promised
"You should have seen her face man," Sam said into the phone, "It was priceless."
"Wish you could have taken a picture." Sam's friend Jack said from the other line. Jack had been his only friend when he was elementary school. He transferred in a little bit before Sam left. The had connected right off the bat and had stayed friends ever since. "Is she still hot?" Jack asked.
"Yeah," Sam admitted, "But I am too." Jack laughed.
"She was the inspiration to you getting into shape." Jack said.
"True," Sam said and then grinned, "I am going to have fun with her this year."
"What are you going to do?" Jack asked.
"First, nothing," Sam told him, "It will bug the crap out of Quinn that I am not paying attention to her."
"Then..." Jack said.
"Then I have a few more ideas," Sam said, "'I'll talk to you later." The friends said their goodbyes and hung up. Sam changed his clothes and started lifting his weights. Quinn had been the motivation. After Sam left that god awful school he swore he would never feel like that again. So he started to get into every sport he could. Sam played baseball, basketball, soccer, and football. His scrawny body began to build up, the chub in his cheeks went away and Sam turned out to be very good looking. Things were going great for him, and a part of that was due to Quinn. Then his Dad got a better job offer so he left the high school where Sam was the most popular boy in school to being the new kid at McKinley High. Although it wouldn't take long till he ruled that school too, but first he needed to something about the Queen. Sam added another weight and smiled.
Q&S
The second Sam stepped into the hall we was ambushed by a short brunette.
"Hi Sam," Rachel said with a big smile, "I'm Rachel Berry and I really think you should reconsider joining Glee Club. Finn, my boyfriend and co-leader of New Directions, says you are very talented and I don't think anyone should waste their talent do you?" Rachel finally stopped talking.
"Uh..." Sam said not knowing if she asked a question she really wanted an answer to.
"Just think about it," Rachel said not letting Sam say anything else and then continued, "I know you have some issues with Quinn, but I don't think you should let that get in your way."
"I don't have any issues," Sam said with a shrug, "I just don't want to be around her if I don't have to be." Rachel took his arm and pulled his aside.
"New Directions is like a family," Rachel told him, "From one former outcast to another, I would still be alone if it wasn't for Glee Club. I know you are cool and hot now, but consider it." With that Rachel walked away. Sam sighed and then turned the corner running right into someone.
"Oh sorry," Sam said and then he saw who the person was, of course it was her, "I thought you were a cheerleader? Don't you have better balance then that?" Quinn was now on the ground seeing as she had fallen flat on her butt.
"Not when someone shoves me!" Quinn said and put her hand out, "Help me up." Sam rolled his eyes and helped the girl to her feet. He didn't hold her hand for a second longer then necessary and was already walking down the hall by the time Quinn got herself together.
"Legs!" Sam called going over to where Brittney and Santana were standing. Both girls stood up straighter, chests out, and flirty smiles on their faces. "Miss me?" The girls nodded and Quinn narrowed her eyes. Why flirt with them when he could be flirting with her!
"Hey Baby mama." Puck said coming up to her. Quinn didn't say anything just looped her arm through his and dragged him down the hall making sure Sam saw them. Sam was not the only hot boy in school. Quinn pasted him all right, but he had a Cheerio on each arm. He was whispering in Santana's ear and once again did not notice her. As soon as they turned the corner Quinn let go of Puck's arm and stomped away. Sam came around the corner just in time to see it. He smirked. He really was getting to her.
"She's something isn't she?" Puck said to Sam.
"Something." Sam replied.
"Couldn't even tell she had my baby last year," Puck said and then gave Sam a slap on the shoulder before walking away. Sam stood there in shock. Quinn had a baby? Sam shook his head as if to clear it and walked to his next class. A baby? Sam sighed, he wouldn't touch that one, that would only hurt her. Sam was going to mess with her and drive her crazy, but he wasn't going to hurt Quinn.
Q&S
"Hello Sweetie," Judy Fabray said to her daughter as she entered the house. Quinn gave an unladylike grunt in response and made her way upstairs. Quinn then began to tare through her closet looking for her elementary school yearbook. When she finally found it she sat on her closet floor and flipped through it till she landed on Evans. There he was. His big mouth was in a full on smile, dimples forming on his chubby cheeks, and his dirty blond hair was in his face. Although he was smiling, there was a sadness in his blue eyes. It was a black and white photo, but Quinn knew his eyes were blue. Sometimes they were green though, it depended on what he was wearing. When you torment someone you spend a lot of time looking at them.
She put that away and Quinn flipped through her own photo album. The field trip to the zoo, the art museum, the science center, and any other school event. Quinn laughed. It was her kindergarten parents day. Kindergarten was a time where everyone liked everyone, they didn't know what it meant to be enemies. There they were. Young Sam and Young Quinn. They were sitting next to each other at their desks smiling brightly for the camera. Quinn had purposely scooted her chair over so she could be closer to him, but Sam didn't notice. Two years after that it was her sole purpose to make his life hell, and she seemed to succeed. Now it was his turn to torment hers.
"Hey Smelly," Young Quinn said to Young Sam. Her group of followers were behind her backing her up. Sam didn't say anything just stared at his comic.
"Hey Tubbers,"Another voice called out, "She is talking to you."
"That doesn't mean I want to talk to her," Sam said still not looking up.
"Getting brave Smelly?" Quinn said mocking him. "Still wishing you were a superhero and could fly away? Or better yet make yourself more invisible then you already are?"
"If I am so invisible why are you talking to me?" Sam said finally looking up. Quinn crossed her arms.
"Just having a little fun Smelly," Quinn said and then starting to walk away, "Have a blast being invisible." She called over her shoulder. Her friend nudged her and said, "Good one." Quinn looked back and saw that Sam was rubbing the back of his hand against his eyes. Quinn had made him cry. She smiled at her friend, but Quinn hated herself at that moment.
Quinn snapped out of the memory wiping her own eyes. She put the books away at the bottom of her closet and covered it with boxes and clothes. Quinn never wanted to look at them again.
Q&S
"Hello Rachel," Sam said in a bored voice as the brunette began talking to him about Glee Club the second he stepped onto campus.
"Have you thought about it?" Rachel asked.
"I don't know yet," Sam told her, "I heard that Glee Clubers have it kind of rough here, and I am in the process of becoming the most popular guy in school. I am starting as quarterback the next game so I want to keep my image up."
"Your image?" Rachel said hands on her hips, "Is that all you care about?"
"At the moment, yes." Sam said and leaned in closer, "But I will tell you when that changes." Sam began to walking away but called out, "See you Rach!" Rachel narrowed her eyes, but a smile formed on her lips. She had never had a nickname before. Santana and Quinn called her "Hobbit" and "Midget", Finn called her "Babe", but never a friendly nickname before. Rachel liked it and kept the smile on her face as she walked down the hall. She ran into Finn and her smiled broadened when she saw him. He had a frown on his face.
"Whats wrong?" Rachel asked.
"Sam is starting," Finn said with what can only be described as a pout.
"I'm sorry," Rachel said putting her hand on his arm in comfort.
"I could loose everything Rachel," Finn told her. His starting position, his status, hell even his girlfriend from the way he saw Sam and Rachel talking.
"You won't loose me." Rachel vowed, "And go easy on Sam, please, for me?" Finn nodded and Rachel smiled and took his hand.
Q&S
"Damn that hurts," Sam said and tried to touch his shoulder when the medic stopped him.
"Don't touch it." He said, "Sorry kid your might be on the bench for a couple weeks. Its dislocated so it will take a bit to fully recover. You will be able to play again so that's good."
"Gotta get that scholarship," Sam said and the medic nodded. Sam looked past the medic and saw that almost every Cheerio was staring at him concern in their eyes, but his eyes found Quinn's. They just stared at each other before Santana broke the trance.
"I can give him a ride home." Santana volunteered and Sam nodded and had to stop himself from laughing as the rest of the Cheerios groaned in disappointment.
"Thanks Fury," Sam said using his nickname for her. Sam had found in his years that when you give a girl a nickname it makes them feel special. So he had nicknames for almost every girl he knew. He had dubbed Brittney "Legs" because her legs went on for miles, and Santana "Fury" because of her fiery personality. Rachel was just "Rach" because "Girl Who Talks a Lot" was too long. Sam had a nickname for Quinn too, but it wasn't appropriate to say out loud.
Sam let Santana lead him to her car and fawn over him as they drove. Sam made girls feel special, but had yet to find that special girl. Maybe someday, but not now. Now was about him, and what he could do to drive Quinn Fabray up a wall. Good thing she made it so easy.
Q&S
He started with the basics. Sam's personal favorite was the simple, but classic, tack on the chair. Juvenile, yes, but always worked. As he passed Quinn's desk in Spanish class Sam pretended to drop something, but really put the clear tack on Quinn's chair. Sam sat down on his own seat a row back. Not long after Quinn made her way to her desk and sat down, squealed like some kind of animal, and got right back up.
"Quinn are you all right?" Mr. Schue asked and Quinn looked and saw all eyes were on her, and not in a good way. What was she supposed to say? Someone put a tack on my chair? Quinn felt eyes burning into her back and looked and saw Sam was smirking. He winked and Quinn narrowed her eyes.
"Quinn?" Mr. Schue said and Quinn realized she was still standing up.
"I'm fine," Quinn said and sat down. She looked behind her at Sam who was grinning. Quinn had felt bad for him before, but now she was pissed.
When Sam excited the classroom he felt someone pinch his butt. Sam turned around and said,
"What the hell..." Sam heard laughing in front of him.
"That is for the tack," Quinn said and then walked away.
Tack on the chair...classic. It would seriously piss me off.
So what do you think of Sam's revenge? Is it too juvenile and I should try to do more serious stuff? Let me know!
Thank you to those who wanted me to continue, I will for you guys you all rock!
Nicknames do make you feel special. I was "Giggles" because I have a condition where I laugh at everything funny or not. I also burst into random laughter when I remember something funny from years ago.
