Hello! That little part with Ahsoka coming home and finding Anakin drunk is off of one of my other ships, Sanvers from Supergirl. Just so ya know. Anyways, hope you enjoy Chapter Two have a nice day OR NIGHT GET SOME SLEEP YOU

Have a Heart of gold

But dance with the devil

Dip in your toes

Just a taste

Or ten

Stay strong for her

Like you know she does for you

Keep it inside

And keep dancing til your gone, swim til you drown,

Because what can you do without a bit of risk?

I know it's not the best thing I've ever written, but I'm still not disappointed in it.

I'm just about finished with the page when I hear Ahsoka coughing from her room. She sounds like she's choking. I jump up and bolt to her room. I open the door. "Ahsoka?"

She holds her hand on her chest, and bends over with a coughing fit. "Ahsoka!" I am at her side. I grab her hand and rub her back. "Are you okay?" She tries to say something, but can't get the words out. She nods. "Sit down. Head down. Clear your throat. Don't stop coughing or try holding it in. I'll be right back." I order. I don't check to see if she does it as I get her water. I come back in. Ahsoka stopped coughing, but I help her drink. She accepts it at first, but shoves away the cup the second time. "Force, Anakin. I just choked."

I refrain. "Sorry, Snips."

She starts coughing again but this time grabs her stomach. "Shit.." She mumbles. Tears trickle out of her eyes. "Anakin, do we have any medicine?" She looks up at me. "Ahsoka, are you okay?" I try to enter her thoughts but she blocks me out. "Shut up, just get me some pain medicine!"

I panic and run to the bathroom, fumbling around for something. I can't find anything. I suddenly sense through the force she's in terrible pain.

I sprint back to Ahsoka, who's crying now. I scoop her up in my arms, knowing shes too weak to resist. She grabs my robotic hand, which I'm thankful for, since if it had been my flesh hand she would've cut off my circulation.

I lay her down carefully on a bed, and immediately droids surround us, and lights and alarms flare. "Hold on, Snips.."

My hands shake as I try to write this down.

Teros Fever

The victim can be in perfect health, age ranging from 15 to 20. The disease starts with a coughing fit, and then patient will describe stabbing pain in their chest, as their lungs are suddenly inflamed. In the first few days, fluid fills around the heart, and the patient will need to stay in emergency care until all of it's been thrown up or surgically removed. This means medicine to make you sick, otherwise the patient loses the ability to breath.

After the first phase, patient will need to remain on strict bed rest, hooked up to an IV. At night they will need pills for pain and sleep, since it is then that their stomach cramps, and also will if they get too hot or cold.

The disease can last anywhere from a month to five years. If you are lucky you survive.

Ahsoka's sick with it now. She's seventeen. I pray that this won't take her from me. I can't have what happened on Mortis happen again, I promised myself I wouldn't. It's been a week now. We've passed all the puking and surgery. The worst part about it is seeing her immobile in her bed, staring gloomily out the window, still wishing for snow on Life Day. I don't even know if she'll make it til then. All I can do is hope, and stand by her until she's dead or it passes.

Tears fall down my eyes. I wipe my face, and make my way to Ahsoka's room. I knock lightly on her door, but don't wait for a response to go in. "Hey, Snips." I whisper, trying to smile. I sit next to her on her bed, laying a cool cloth on her forehead. "Can I get you anything?" She shakes her head. "Give me a minute." I say.

I come back into the room with the best medicine I can give her.

"Bleep bloop beep."

"Artooy.." She smiles, her voice raspy. He rolls over to her, nudging her hand. She rubs his dome, laughing as he spins around.

"I would bring R7 too if he wouldn't attempt to kill me."

Ahsoka nods. "He does not like you."

My droid decides that my padawan needs to laugh, so he slams into my legs, knocking me over. Ahsoka's pale face lights up a bit as I stand up, glaring at R2.

I'm happy she is.

Later...

"How are you feeling?" I ask her, my voice soft. "Cold." She shivers. I pull the blankets up to her chin, tucking them in at her waist. "Let me get you your medicine, Snips." After she takes the pills, I help with the time consuming task of taking out the IV. She doesn't complain, or accept anything for the pain, just watches me bandage her arm with a solemn face.

I'm about to leave when she finally speaks.

"Anakin?"

"Yes, Ahsoka?"

"Will you stay here until I fall asleep?"

"Of course. Does your stomach hurt?" I ask. She nods.

I remove the blankets and lift her shirt wordlessly, laying my hand on her bare abdomen. I feel the force flow from my fingertips to her skin. She lets out a breath. "Thank you."

Ahsoka

Anakin gets under the covers, keeping his arms around my waist and his hand on my stomach. His hand is warm and steady. It's a little awkward, but it's the only way I'll probably ever get to sleep. I lean my back against him. "Sleep good, Anakin." I'm sure he's smiling as he kisses my lekku gently. "You too, Snips. Wake me up if there's anything wrong."

I hate having this. I'm only a teenager, and I'm not ready for such a burden. Dying on the battlefield is different than slowly rotting away while Anakin's forced to take care of me, and watch me in pain. I don't want to put the best friend I've ever had through this.

I could die at any moment. It's terrifying. If I fall asleep right now, I might not wake. These seconds could be the last of my life.

But in the morning, I do wake up.

"Ahsoka?" I hear Anakin's voice, can smell peppermint and honey, I crack open a dry eye. "Skyguy?" I moan. He's sitting on my bed, holding a steaming cup of tea. "Hey, Snips." He smiles. His hand presses against my jaw, his thumb stroking my cheek. He bends over slowly, kissing my forehead. "I got you some tea." He whispers. I smile. "You're so sweet." I reach out and feel something in my arm. "You already put it in?"

"No point in waking you."

He helps me sit up and drink. "Your Life Day squad is coming over in a few minutes."

"Mmm hmmm…you know, you're only really good at making tea."

"Of course. All I have to do is put water in the microwave and stick in a teabag."

ANAKIN

Ahsoka looks so fragile, she's skinner than usual which is saying a lot, since she's stick thin. I can see her bones and veins jutting out and indenting her skin. I was thinking last night, and I decided that if she's going to die I want to make the rest of her life the best.

The council is allowing me to stay with her for a month, and if she isn't better by then a droid will have to take care of her when I'm gone on missions. I'm determined to make this the best month I can make it.
