Author notes
Hello~! The super special baka Nyan-chan has made a 4.2k chapter in one day. Granted it only took me maybe 5.5 hours! Eye am so proud of myself. Of course, Freezing White Knight chapter 6 had 5k words on day 3 of writing it. Hahah! If I'm into writing, then I'll be able to do it! Can I finish it? Yes eye can!
Of course DIAO's (Doing it all over) chapters are much shorter than Freezing White Night's chapters because the amount of content in one event in Rosaria isn't that much. I'll also shuffle through these two. So after this is Freezing White Night chapter 7.
*Some of you have been asking for another chapter of this, so I decided to write one as early as possible. Here you go. It's pretty dark at the beginning though. I hope you enjoy it.
Warning: R+V is owned by Ikeda Akihisa...and it is not Beta'd. So point out any mistakes if you see em.
A faint scream alerted the unconscious Tsukine Aono. When he opened his eyes all he could see was pitch black darkness. He stumbled around and tripped over something he couldn't see. He didn't feel any pain when he fell, but something was very familiar. There was this feeling that he could not shake off. The feeling just got stronger the more he waited. Even though it was pointless, he turned around to see what he had tripped on. What he saw was a silhouette of a human, or something that had the shape of one. The silhouette was well endowed, and it reminded him of a certain someone who was overly passionate. Tsukune's felt a stabbing sensation in his chest. He remembered what he did.
The darkness around him slowly receded and gave way to the clear blue sky, but he remembered the scenery. Around him was nothing but rubble and dead bodies. He was back on the 'Floating Garden', Fairy Tale's flying fortress. "Help!" Tsukune quickly spun around to where the scream came from and saw Kurumu being held up by the throat by a pitch black figure. "I'm coming!" He shouted. The black figure turned his head to the side and gave a sinister smile. He could see half of the figure's face. It was himself.
His vision went black again and he found himself in a different area. He knew that his right arm was stretched out, and he already knew what was next. When his vision was finally restored, he saw Kurumu being held up by his own hand. He tried to let go, but his body did not listen to him. He was choking her to death, and he knew she wouldn't last much longer. She couldn't make a single sound because his hand was wrapped tightly around her neck. Tsukune felt her struggle, but it was futile. Her strength was no match for a vampire. She continually tried to pry his hands off, but felt weaker with each passing second. Eventually she stopped moving. He already knew that she died.
When she died, he finally regained control of his body. His grip loosened and her limp body fell down onto the marble floor. Tsukune dropped down onto his knees and raised his hands up to eye level. His hands couldn't stop shaking. He tightened his hands into a fist and slammed them on the floor. "What have I done!?"
Tsukune had murdered Kurumu. He couldn't forgive himself. The human-vampire continuously slammed his fists onto the ground until they began to bleed. There was no way he could ever face his friends after what had happened. He couldn't help but scream.
Tsukune's eyes shot open and saw nothing but a white ceiling. He slowly sat up and leaned against a wall. He felt cold, and sweat was pouring down from his face. In fact his white t-shirt was drenched. He felt his bed sheets and found that they were drenched with his sweat as well. "That much, huh?" He muttered. The rhythmic ticks of the clock and his quiet breathing were audible in his room. He looked at the clock and saw that the time was 3:17 AM. "Around two hours in and I have another nightmare…This is the fourth time, and it just keeps getting more vivid."
He slid off his bed and sat down on the floor, leaning against his bed. The bed was no longer useful, being soaked in sweat and all. Even without that he wouldn't dare fall asleep again. He didn't want to have that nightmare again. It was going to be a long night. School doesn't start until 7:30 AM. Tsukune lowered his head and stared off into space, waiting for morning to arrive.
Morning had finally come and all of the students were on their way to the main campus. Tsukune Aono was inside the crowd that was walking to the school. He had faint bags under his eyes. Having only two or so hours of sleep really puts a toll on the body. Even a vampire is not immune from sleep deprivation. "That nightmare was much more vivid than the earlier ones. Could that mean something?" He thought to himself. His focus was broken when he was tackled from the side. He was knocked onto the ground and felt a weight on his torso. He opened his eyes and saw none other than Moka Akashiya.
"Good morning, Moka-san." Tsukune wheezed. She was pressing on his chest, which made it hard to breathe. Moka smiled and said, "Good morning to you too, Tsukune!"
"M-Moka-san, could you please get off me. It's getting hard to breathe…"
Moka realized what she had done and quickly got off Tsukune. He took in a big breath of fresh air and got off the ground. He patted the dirt and dust off of his uniform and sighed. "Moka-san, that was not a very safe thing to do. What if you got hurt?"
Moka smiled and hugged Tsukune's arm. "But I'm not hurt, so it's fine." The former human sighed again and scratched his head. The event that happened was drastically different from the one he had remembered. History really was changing. Maybe his battle with Saizou changed something.
"That bastard! He's with Moka again!", "Screw this! I don't have to put up with this damn farce! I'll kill him and show Moka how strong I am!", "That bitch is claiming that hottie for herself. I'll make sure she pays."
Tsukune could hear all the envious students' mutters. He didn't like what they were saying and he felt that Moka was in danger. He gently grabbed Moka's shoulder and got her attention, "Mind if we go to class? The people surrounding us are getting jealous."
Moka noticed and nodded. She knew that other girls wanted Tsukune, and she didn't want to give him away. He was her first friend, and a willing blood donor too. He was the nicest person she had ever met.
…
The two were sitting on a small set of stairs, talking to each other. "I don't know why other people are so jealous. We're friends after all." Moka said with a docile look on her face. She leaned in closer to Tsukune and descended into her baser instincts, "Ah! I haven't had a drink in a while! Whenever I'm near you, I just want to drink your blood!"
Moka's teeth clamped onto Tsukune's neck and she began to drink away. She held on for a long time before Tsukune managed to push her off. Tsukune looked very pale, and he almost looked like a ghost. Moka drank too much. "M-Moka-san…please don't drink that much blood from me. I know it's delicious and all, but each time that happens I feel light headed and nauseas." Moka covered her mouth with her hand and felt bad. She couldn't help herself. His blood was just too addicting.
"If you don't mind, I'm going for a walk." Tsukune left the pink haired vampire alone to reflect on her actions. He may have taken a different approach to leaving, but didn't want to follow the original way because he didn't want to hurt Moka.
Tsukune was taking a stroll through a creepy forest, still lightheaded from the earlier blood drinking session from Moka. It took a while for him to remember that Moka didn't drink nearly as much. Was his mixed blood more delicious than his original blood? He thought about that but put it near the middle of his priorities list. The first thing on the list was Kurumu.
"Ohh…Someone…help." A weak voice managed to say. Bingo. Tsukune turned around and saw Kurumu lying on the ground, her hands on her stomach. "Help me…I'm feeling ill. Please lend me a hand…."
Tsukune rushed to her aid and supported her with his arms. He helped her onto her feet and said, "Can you stand up by yourself? Let's go to the infirmary."
On their walk to the infirmary, Kurumu was holding onto Tsukune's arm. She had his arm lodged between her breasts. She was trying to seduce him with her good points, but Tsukune did not waver. He was already used to this sort of affection from Kurumu. "Tsukune…look into my eyes."
Tsukune did what he was told and noticed that Kurumu used Charm. He prepared himself, but nothing happened to him. That was odd. If she found out that he resisted her charm, then things would change drastically. He decided to play along and hugged her. Kurumu giggled and said, "Ahaha~! What are you doing?"
Off in the distance, Moka was watching the two and their acts. She didn't like what she saw. Seeing Tsukune with another girl made her feel a dull pain in her chest. "Hehe…Isn't this a sight? Same as always, my boy." The bus driver chuckled, scaring Moka. Moka nearly jumped and ran off, but hearing the last two words somehow kept her rooted in place. "W-who are you to Tsukune?" She asked. The bus driver took a puff from his cigar and replied, "Just his paternal figure…" He wasn't lying. Tsukune did see him as a sort of fatherly figure, always giving advice and helping him he was thankful for it. Moka turned and looked at Tsukune, she didn't want to look anymore and turned to talk to the mysterious man again, but he wasn't there anymore.
Moka was walking along the halls wondering what happened. They looked like lovers and that hurt her. What she didn't notice was how uninterested Tsukune was. He hid it well from Kurumu, and was Moka the entire time when they were in the forest. "They looked like childhood friends…no lovers." Moka muttered, sounding fairly down. "They looked into it too…Why am I so shaken up by that?"
Moka suddenly remembered what Tsukune said before leaving, 'M-Moka-san…please don't drink that much blood from me. I know it's delicious and all, but each time that happens I feel light headed and nauseas'. She was drinking too much blood, and that was only hurting Tsukune. She didn't want to hurt him, but his blood was simply amazing.
"You…Moka Akashiya…you're a vampire, right?" Moka looked up at where the voice was coming from and saw an extremely busty blue haired girl sitting on the stair rails. She jumped off the rails and landed on both feet. She looked like she floated down instead of falling. The boys all around went crazy and drooled over her. They were all captivated by her physical beauty.
"Holy crap! There was this kind of girl in this school besides Moka-san?", "Hot damn! Look at the size of that rack!", "W-Wow, she's really cute. Might be prettier than Moka-san."
The blue haired girl walked in close to Moka and whispered into her ear, "I am the succubus Kurono Kurumu, and I am here to put you in your place." Moka moved back and said, "Ah-..wait. Isn't it against the rules to reveal your true form?" She was confused by Kurumu's sudden declaration of war.
"That doesn't matter! All that matters is defeating you! You're a threat to my master plan!" The succubus shouted. Moka didn't understand what she meant by plan, and Kurumu took it upon herself to explain what it was. She struck a pose and said, "My plan is to make every male student in this school become a part of my male harem!" A majority of the males still had hearts in their eyes while the others, who were infatuated with Moka, were horrified by Kurumu's plan.
"It was all going as planned too! Until I realized that half of the boys in this school was captivated by you!" Kurumu came real close to Moka, within arm's length. She was both annoyed and furious that Moka somehow captivated half the students, while she had the other half. It was an even split. "How come half the guys are charmed by you and the other half by me? Is this some sort of contest?"
Moka was about to say something but Kurumu cut her off, "Nonetheless! I still aim to beat you by stealing Tsukune from you! How could the hottest guy in the school not notice my beauty but yours?!"
"Wait! Tsukune has nothing to do with this!" Moka objected. Tsukune wasn't some sort of prize that could determine a winner. He was a person, not an object. "Now that I think about it, he smelled wonderful! He smelled like a flower field, and since you're a vampire, doesn't that mean his blood tastes wonderful as well? If so, that just means that you use him as food! You don't see him as a person at all!"
"Wait…no! That's not true! I-" Moka was cut off before she could defend herself. Tsukune had walked into the circle, "I've been looking for you, Moka-san. I'm sorry for ditching you. I got caught up in other matters."
"Ah~! There you are! Thank you for earlier!" Kurumu took this as an opportunity and threw herself onto him. She wrapped her hands around his neck and embraced him. Moka couldn't contain her anger and let off a dangerous aura. Tsukune was surprised by her anger and remembered what had happened. "Tsukune! That girl is deceiving you! Get her off before it's too late!"
"Ah! What awful things to say! Am I really tricking you, Tsukune?" Kurumu held on tightly to him and made eye contact. She was hoping that a charmed Tsukune would come to her aid, but he was not affected by the charm at all. "I'm not dangerous, right?" Tsukune slowly nodded and said, "She's not dangerous at all, Moka-san."
Moka was shocked by Tsukune's response. He just agreed with her without any second thought. Kurumu only laughed and thought of trying something even more extreme. "I win, Akashiya Moka! You lost! Losers like you should die! Isn't that right Tsukune?" Kurumu received no response from Tsukune. She looked at the boy and saw a grim look on his face. "Tsukune?"
Kurumu was pushed aside and he went over to Moka. "You shouldn't use the word die so frivolously, Kurumu-san. I'm disappointed in you." He said in disgust, "I was playing along, trying to be nice, but you went too far. Let's go, Moka-san." Tsukune grabbed Moka's hand and walked away with her, leaving a stunned Kurumu alone, surrounded by charmed boys. "H-how did he…was he always immune to my charm?" Her shock turned into anger when she realized that a potential destined one chose someone else…
Moka and Tsukune were walking through one of the 3rd floors hallways. The human-vampire was apologizing to Moka for not telling her that it was all an act, and that he did it because he found it funny to mess with a succubus. "Only if you promise to tell me what you are doing first!" Moka pouted. Tsukune chuckled a bit and agreed. He sensed something approaching and pulled Moka to the side. Razor sharp spikes were embedded into the wall, and if Moka was standing there she would have been struck by those spikes. "Don't tell me…"
"How dare you! Stealing my destined one!" The voice belonged to none other than Kurumu. Her fingernails were elongated and looked like they could shred metal. She was very angry. It is said that a succubus' destined one was immune to the charm ability. For Moka to steal her destined one, this infuriated Kurumu greatly. "Tsukune! Only you are able to resist my charm ability! You are my destined one! Won't you come over to me?"
"I'm sorry. I can't…I-" Before Tsukune could finish he was kicked out of the school building through one of its windows. Kurumu had knocked him out of the building with a well-placed kick on the chest. "Ah! Tsukune!" Moka ran over to where the broken window was and looked outside. Tsukune landed on some big bushes and looked unscathed. "I'm fine! Worry about yourself!"
Moka turned around and saw Kurumu ready to attack. She panicked and grabbed a hold of her blazer. She slammed Kurumu into the wall before finally throwing her out the window, to where Tsukune was. She had done it all on impulse. "Ah! I'll be there right away! Stay safe, Tsukune!" She said before running off.
Kurumu got out of the tree that she landed in and brushed off any leaves that were on her. Standing before her was Tsukune, with his hands in his pockets. She was going to try to convince Tsukune one more time, "Tsukune, I'll say this again. Won't you love me instead? A succubus can only love their destined one, and our species are on the verge of extinction. You are my destined one, please!"
Tsukune turned away and tried to avoid looking at Kurumu. He felt bad that he had to reject her again. "I'm sorry…I can't. Like I said I-" Tsukune was cut off once more. He never seemed to have any luck with explaining things to people. A large spike was thrown at him and he dodged it with relative ease. Kurumu didn't look angry, just sad. "If that's the case…then no one will have you!"
Since Moka wasn't there yet, and Tsukune was about to be attacked, he had no choice but to fight her himself. Maybe if he defeated her, then inner Moka wouldn't brutally beat her. He took both hands out of his pockets and rolled up his right sleeve, revealing his black, triple seal rosary. The three gems sparkled in the sunlight, showing off their dazzling colors. Kurumu realized what it was, a rosary. A rosary was a seal that was designed to limit the strength of super powerful Youkai. Tsukune having one was proof that he was strong. "Release restraint: Level 1."
The Black Rosary began to glow faintly and then its three gems glowed brighter than any star and the opal's rainbow light faded away, leaving the ruby and lapis lazuli shining. Both gems followed along and dimmed, but still glowed faintly while the opal shone no longer. A huge burst of Youki was released that blew dust away, and shook trees. Kurumu noticed how Tsukune's brown eyes became blue and purple. He now had heterochromia, and it looked absolutely stunning. She noticed how his Youki felt both cool and passive, but at the same time had an oppressive feeling to it. "I never wanted this to happen but I will be fighting you, Kurumu-san."
Kurumu didn't even notice that Tsukune had disappeared from her sight. A trail of dust was floating around where he stood. It was as if he moved at sonic speeds. Tsukune appeared behind her and tapped the back of her knee with his instep and pulled her into a lock. He restrained both of her arms and had his right leg wrapped around her right leg in case something happened. "Please give up and listen to me!"
"No! You never listen to me! Why should I listen to you!" Kurumu brought out her wings and Tsukune had no choice but to let go. He didn't want to get stabbed by the sharp edges of the bat-like wings. Kurumu took off and hovered in the air a few meters above him. "It's no use! You can't fly, and if the rumors are correct then you are just a B-class monster! After all Saizou was a low B-class! Whereas I am an A-class."
"I didn't want to do this, Kurumu-san." Tsukune thought to himself, running up to a tree and kicking off it. He used the tree as a jumping support and managed to jump up to where Kurumu was and gave her a swift kick, knocking her a good distance away. He landed on the ground and started to worry. What if he used too much force? "Tsukune!"
Tsukune turned around and saw Moka running towards him. It took a while but she managed to reach him. She stopped looked around, she didn't see Kurumu anywhere. "Where did Kurono-san go?"
An angry scream was heard followed by several trees being cut and falling down... Kurumu was paving a way for herself. She was extremely furious now. "Great! Now that the both of you are here, I'll just kill you both!"
"Tsukune, let me help too!" Moka was ready to fight too, or at least she was hoping Tsukune would pull off the rosary and let the Inner Moka do all the work. Tsukune refused, saying that he doesn't want Moka in harm's way, even if the Inner Moka could take care of herself. He got into a fighting stance and waited for the perfect moment to strike. He would take Kurumu out instantly without too much damage to her. That was what he was hoping for. When Kurumu got closer, she exposed herself. Tsukune took the chance to attack and rushed at her. She saw it coming and dodged his attack, grabbing onto him as well. She flew in close to Moka and threw him at her. Tsukune landed on the pink-haired girl and felt his hand touch something cold. He heard the all too familiar clink sound. As if destiny willed it he pulled the rosary off by accident, again.
Just like always, the outer Moka switched with the Inner one. Her hair turned silver, her eyes became red, and her three sizes increased. The first thing she noticed was the weight on her. Tsukune was still on top of her. "Get off me." She pushed Tsukune aside and got up. She looked at Kurumu with disgust and anger. "Put me in my place you say? How about you realize yours!"
Inner Moka disappeared and reappeared in front of Kurumu. Before the succubus could do anything she was viciously kicked in the abdomen and was sent flying. She went through a few trees before stopping at the trunk of a particularly large one. Inner Moka was relentless and already caught up. She grabbed Kurumu by the throat and picked her up. She slammed her into the ground, creating a large crater. Small pieces of rock flew everywhere, while the larger pieces were re-positioned. Inner Moka let go and stood over the defeated Kurumu, "Is this too difficult for you? You said you were going to put me in my place? Are you really that weak?"
Kurumu could even muster up the strength to reply. All she could was cough. Inner Moka scoffed at the succubus' weakness and prepared to finish her off. "I'll make sure you never raise a hand against me again. Why not start with those wings?" She raised her leg and prepared for a kick. She brought it down only to be stopped by Tsukune. He used his arm to block the kick, but he suffered some major damage. His left arm was broken. "Enough is enough…"
"Huh…? What is this? Move! That woman deceived you and tried to kill you. It is only fair that she receive her punishment." Inner Moka said coldly, not giving a single care to Tsukune's broken arm. "Kurumu isn't a bad person. She just did what she thought was right for her race. After all she needs someone to help out her dying species." Tsukune replied. He gave out a soft smile and added, "Besides, I think she's a good girl at heart."
Kurumu felt her heart throb. Tsukune's kindness awakened some new feelings. Something she never experienced before. Inner Moka snatched her rosary from Tsukune, "Tch…You're too kind. I don't care about her. All I care about is your blood. You'll see that I'm different from my outer self." Inner Moka put her rosary back on and outer Moka was back. As usual she was unconscious and Tsukune had to catch her before she fell. It was hard to do with only one hand. "I liked it better when Inner Moka was all dere-dere…" He thought to himself.
The next day Moka and Tsukune were walking together to school, discussion on what had happened yesterday. The two were approached by Kurumu, who had a bag of cookies on her. "What is it now?" Moka asked. Kurumu had a happy look on her face and only said, "Tsukune, I baked some cookies for you!"
"Uh…thanks." The young man took the bag from her and asked, "Why are you giving these to me?" Kurumu only smiled. She put both hands on her chest and replied, "Remember when I said that the one who is immune to their charm is their destined one? Well there is also another requirement. A succubus must genuinely love the person. And I fell in love with you when you stood up for me, even though I tried to kill you. You're a wonderful person, Tsukune. I love you."
Tsukune smiled slightly and turned away to hide his grief. He felt horrible receiving Kurumu's honest declaration of love. What he had done to her in the end, it was terrible and he felt that he doesn't deserve her love. "I'm sorry, Kurumu-san. I don't deserve your love." He muttered. It was quiet enough that they could barely hear him.
Don't you just love it when the main character of a harem series matures? I dislike dense protagonists, and prefer it if it was a bit darker. That's why I decided to make this. Granted the 2nd season is pretty dark and was great.
*Also, I re-read chapter 1 and noticed the phrase 'Saizou's fish'. I laughed so hard when I saw that. I liked the funny mistake, so I'll make that into my own little joke.
