When Emma woke up, tree roots and bumps in the ground annoyed her back. She was obviously lying on the ground. She could hear voices around her, but was not able to distinguish what the voices was saying, nor to whom they belonged.

Emma slowly opened her eyes and made a bad attempt to try and sit up. Her head was hurting. Or, hurting was putting it lightly, but she had no other word to describe the pain.

Everyone around her seemed to freeze when she moved, and after a few seconds had passed she felt someone pull her to her feet. Her vision was blurry she couldn't tell who or what was helping her up. But, Emma was sure it wasn't Charming. Those hands were as strong as Charming's, but not as gentile. Nor did the man didn't let her go when she was finally balanced, but helt her arms tight.

When her vision finally cleared, Emma was shocked by the scene in front of her. She was now by the bonfire she'd seen earlier. Before her stood her father, Regina, Gold and Hook, held prisoners by large men.

Emma's gaze landed on Charming who seemed to only have eyes for her as well. His eyes shone of panic, rage, and concern. She tried to give him a nod of comfort, confirming that she was well with it. However, she were not sure the action had fulfilled its purpose as her father's face only hardened.

Her own rage flamed as she saw Tamara and Greg standing by the bonfire, smirking.

"Let go of the four of them", Tamara ordered with a nod towards Charming, Hook, Regina and Gold. The men holding them took a step back, and the four in question watched Tamara carefully.

"What?! Why? Don't you think we'll need them?", Greg outburst, looking at Tamara.

"They won't go anywhere", Tamara answered him simply, with a smile towards Emma. "Not while we still have her."

Greg's features stayed confused for a second before he realized what she was implying. And, of course she was right.

Emma knew her father would never leave her to fend for herself, Gold owed her after everything, Hook sort of owed everyone not to leave and Regina would probably not find her way out by herself.

"What do you want?", Emma asked Tamara.

Tamara's smirk only grew. For her own sake, Tamara did good by having someone holding Emma, 'cause Emma knew that if she wouldn't be stuck on the spot she would with all certainty be lying on top of Tamara trying her best to choke the woman. The hurt from Tamara shooting Neal, her attempt to blow up Storybrook and the fact that she kidnapped Emma's son, made Emma see vengeance in a new perspective.

Tamara whispered something to Greg and he disappeared into the forest. She then walked toward Emma and Charming made a move in their direction. The man that had been holding him a few moments ago made a move and Charming stopped, but he didn't take his eyes off of Tamara. And she didn't take her off of Emma either. Determinately, Emma stared back.

"What did you do to my son?", Emma asked, proud that her voice didn't waver.

"Don't worry, you'll see him again", Tamara answered with a casual wave of her hand. The surprise of Tamara's answer was visibly mirrored on Emma's face. Tamara's smile brightened at that.

"I will?", Emma asked her.

"Oh yes, I can promise you that you will see your son again", she said. Emma then stopped fighting the man holding her.

"What's the catch?", She asked.

"Catch? There is no catch. You will see him, I can promise you that much. I can also give my word that he will be alive by the time you do. But then if you will be able to talk to him, or take him away from here is another matter", Tamara smirked and waited for her reaction.

The first thing Emma heard was the part including her seeing him, and the promise that he would be alive by the time. However, when the rest sunk in and she understood Tamara's words Emma once again fought to get loose. Tamara just stood before her, watching her useless attempts to free herself.

After a few minutes of complete silence, apart från Emma's struggle to get loose, Greg returned. What he was holding in his arms made her stop again.

Henry. Henry. He was there. Just metres away. Emma looked at him and he looked back at at her. His first reaction was to smile and Emma saw excitement in his eyes. Then his smile faltered. He realized Emma was captured, and that neither Regina nor Charming had any way of changing the situation.

They had found him, but were about to loose him again. Greg stopped when he and Henry stood in-between both sides of the scene, about ten metres to both Emma and to Charming and the rest of the group.

Regina took a few steps towards Henry. Good! Emma thought. If she couldn't get to him, maybe Regina could. A thought hit her then, as surprise filled her mind when she realized neither Regina or Gold had used any magic yet. Why?

As soon as the Tamara realized Regina was moving toward Henry everything happened very fast. Weapons were pointed at Regina, Greg moved Henry a few metres further away, and the man behind Emma took a firmer grip around her and held up a knife to her throat.

"If anyone moves any further, she will die!", Tamara yelled and pointed at Emma. The man holding her had her chin pointed up but her sight was not all blind for the scene. Her father held out a hand and pulled Regina back into their little group, but his eyes never left the knife against Emma's throat and his free hand rested on the place where his sword was supposed to be.

Emma's last hopes was fading and panic was bubbling up inside of her once again. She turned until she had eye contact with Greg.

"Greg", She gasped, but her voice sounded like a trumpet in the silence. Everyone turned to her.

"Greg, don't do this", She breathed and could hear the sound of desperation in her own voice. Tamara started saying something but Emma cut her of.

"Greg, I know what happened to you as a boy. I know how you got separated from your father. And I feel for you. I truly do. I know what loneliness feels like, just like you. So think of Henry. Lets just ignore who he is, what you want him for, and who he is related to.", Emma said and she knew she had gotten Greg's attention so she continued her speech.

"You see Regina as a villain. You see her as the reason you didn't get a chance to grow up and have the childhood you wanted, the childhood you deserved, right? You see Regina as the most horrible person existing. The one who ruined your youth. That is how Henry will see you. Henry is going to see you and Tamara as the two people who ripped him away from his family. We are a complicated family, yes. But we hold on to each other and love each other. Do you want to be the one to ruin that? Do you want to be the reason to another boy having to go through the same pain as you did as a boy? I know I wouldn't want to be."

Silence fell again when Emma got quiet. She knew she had reached out to Greg, and she saw him loosen his grip on Henry's arm. Emma got a glimpse of Tamara, who seemed furious, and could only feel contentment.

Then, she saw Tamara grabbing an item in her jacket and pulled it out. Emma knew what it was before she saw it. The last bean. She was going to jump portals again, bring Henry to yet another world without his family and Emma would have to chase them down again.

Tamara threw the bean on the ground and for the fourth time in three days a green spinning vortex occurred in front of them. Only a meter away from Emma.

She was waiting for Tamara to give orders for their jump with Henry, but when Tamara turned around she surprised Emma again. It wasn't Greg she was turning to, but her. Tamara looked at the man holding her tight. The four people standing across the bonfire was once again held by the large men behind them.

"Do it", Tamara ordered.

Once again Emma was too slow to realize what was happening. A pain, greater than anything she had ever felt, occurred in her stomach. She wanted to scream but no sound came out her mouth. She could hear both her father and Henry screaming her name.

Emma looked over at the two people around whom she loved the most. They all realized she was dying. That the knife who had been pointed at her throat was inside her waist, and the wound would not be easily treated. Her dad fought worse than ever to get to her, but the dude holding him back didn't let go.

Emma turned her head to get a last look at her son when she felt herself falling. She tried her hardest to keep herself conscience. The man holding Emma had obviously let her go, and she was getting closer and closer to the ground. No wait, it wasn't the ground. It was the portal. She was falling into the portal.

That was what Tamara had planned. But why? Why her, and why now? Emma knew she would be dead and gone within a few seconds so she stopped fighting. She let the unconsciousness take over, and sunk in to the portal that she knew would also be her death. The last thing Emma heard was her dad's broken voice screaming her name. Then she was gone.
