*Coulson's Office*
May was quiet. She's always quiet- but ths quiet was different. This type of quiet was painful. The type of quiet that brought emotions out of you, that you couldn't even find the words for.
"We have to talk about this..." Coulson said as he drifited off his sentence while he looked out the window.
"I though she died.
"May... We both did. We looked for years, and when they told us she was dead- that took a toll on both of us."
May looked up at him with tears brimming in her eyes. She was hurt and began blaming herself.
"I should have known...Goddammit, I SHOULD have known!"
Coulson goes to sit down next to her.
"Don't you dare lame yourself! This is not your fault. I should have protected her... I should have protected our family." Coulson reached for May's hand; squeezing it tight.
"It's not your faul either. You know that Phil." May looked up at him. Her eyes suddenly looked tired and stressed.
They both just sat there for a moment- soaking in every minute as they went by.
Coulson met May's eyes, trying to ignite a bit of positivity in her.
"So... What are we going to do?"
May sighed.
"We have to talk to her. Find out what happend... What we've missed the past 10 years.
Coulson furrowed his brows. "Do you think she wants anythin to do with us?"
"She came here for a reason. Whether she's here for us or not... She's here for something." May squeezed Coulson's hand in reassurance.
"I think we should go brief the team first. They need to be on the same page as us."
May nodded, "Yea your right."
Coulson stood up and helped pull May up.
"Let's go brief our team, then go talk to our daughter."
