Chapter Two
Jacob
I got up at ten my stomach roaring for food. I knew that Hope would also soon be up and equally starving. I had no idea of how to make anything though, other than burnt toast and too milky cereal. I went out my door and saw and smelt that Hope had actually beaten me to the punch and a wonderful smell was coming from the oven. Hope was indeed my sister and her mind was very interesting. Billy however had not yet completely accepted her as his daughter, which made me sorry for her.
"What are you making?" I asked her
"Breakfast." Hope replied which made me chuckle, her idea of breakfast and mine was vastly different. "Breakfast is after all the most impotent meal of the day and I found the right inheritance for Irish soda bread." She told me simply and brushed back her flame red wavy hair. Finally as the bread cooled Hope cooked up a mass of eggs and bacon. She got out the plates and put the two loafs sliced on it. "I feel as though I could eat a whole one and I think that you feel the same." My stomach answered for me. "Thought so." She then got out a jar of jam.
"Thanks for making breakfast." I said and saw the other plate that she had set aside for Billy. Who was either reading fishing magazines in bed or calling Charlie up to ask him to go fishing with him. It would be good to get Charlie out of the house, a weeping Carlisle had called him to tell him that both Edward and Bella had plunged off of a cliff into the ocean after going too fast after their wedding. Hope brought me back from my thoughts by speaking
"You haven't tasted it yet."
"But it looks great." I said and she grinned blushing and piled jam upon the bread. She took a bite.
"What is this stuff?" She asked liking the taste of the jam and a little got on the corner of her mouth.
"Blackberry jam." I replied.
"Its really good." She said and wiped off the bit of jam was on the corner of her mouth. I took some too and piled it on the bread as Hope had done.
"This bread is great." I told her and finished off my loaf.
Hope laughed, "You ate that so fast that your fingers were a blur." I liked Hope, she was a great sister. Like the twins but she was younger instead of older than me. I laughed.
"You will learn to do the same, around other members of the pack." I licked the jam off my fingers. "Free for all doesn't begin to cover it."
She laughed again, I liked her laugh it was musical and deep. "Really I would like to meet your pack. They sound like fun."
"We will go after I wash up." I told her and took the empty plates. I washed them in the sink and dried them putting them away.
"Now can we go?" She asked she obviously was impatient.
"Yes we can." I replied she had no patients.
"Great." She said and together we walked out the door. We walked to Sam's and she was nervous.
"Its alright Sis, they won't bite. At least not you, they save that for the vampires." She laughed but it wasn't her natural laugh but a nervous tittering one. We reached Sam's house and I opened the door.
