Posting another chapter less than 24 hours after the first, I haven't done that since my very first story. Also, might I mention that I am a huge fan of monsters and things that go bump in the night. Lycanthropes especially, so of course if I'm having a story with monsters I have to at least mention them. Did you know that every country has it's own version of a lycanthrope? For example in Russia it's werebears, So I'm definitely not going to just stick to the famous werewolf (though they might be a main part in the future), I like variety.
now for the review from last chapter:
Sy: Thanks for reading. Here's some more for you now :3

Things had started out well for Jay Walker this morning. He was just about finished with his journy to reach Northern Woods Academy, where he would be spending the next few years of his life. He had dreams of becoming a great inventor one day, and not only did this school have all the classes he needed to fullfill his dreams, but also boasted the title for the school with the best protection against all of the dark creatures of the world, including vampires and lycans, which where the creatures most known to be able to find ways around such protections, which was also part of how he was able to get his parents on board with sending him somewhere so far away.
The auburn had eaten his breakfast at a small in at a town near the edge of the woods, and he should have been able to reach the next town by lunch time. After that it would of been a short hike to the school. Currently, it was way past lunch time, and there was still no sign of the town or the school.
He must of taken a wrong turn somewhere but he just couldn't figure out where that was. Jay sighed as he leaned against a tree. He was probably going in circles now, and with it getting darker he definitely needed to find some sort of civilization soon. There was no way to tell what sort of dangers lied in these woods. The worse thing that could happen, at least in his opinion, would be running into some sort of lycan. Not a lot where left in the world, but after the extinction of werewolves other species that where normally more skittish began causing havoc, trying to grow there numbers as much as possible.
The most notable of those being wererats, given they liked to pack together and attack in large numbers. Due to the rising problem, hunting parties had been formed all over the country to track down any and all lycans that they could.
Now they where a pretty rare sight, but there's no way they would give up the chance to attack a lone, unarmed teen out in the forest. Of course there where many other things that he had a much more likely chance of running into, but being cursed with lycanthropy seemed like the worst thing that could happen to anyone.
A few leaves blowing in the wind caught Jay's attention, and it was then that he noticed a path he hadn't seen before. It didn't look like it had been used in ages, but it was either go down it or continue to wonder in circle's for who knows how long. Making up his mind, the blue eyed teen started walking, glancing around him as the shadows steadily grew longer and the air became colder.
The path got a little wider after a while, though by now Jay was beginning to wonder if he had made the wrong choice. It had became eerily quite, the only sound coming from the forest was the wind blowing through the leaves, and the temperature seemed to have suddenly become even colder than it was his small jacket tighter around himself, the teen quickened his pace, hoping he could at least find some sort of shelter before the sun set.
A loud snap echoed through the woods, and Jay froze in place. The entire forest seemed to freeze with him, as even the wind seemed to have ceased moving. He looked towards where the sound had came from, but there was nothing to see other than the trees and the sea of leaves covering the forest floor. Suddenly feeling as if he was being watched, he began walking again at a much faster pace.
It soon became apparent that something was following, if the odd whispers and the strange shadows he kept seeing at the edge of his vision where anything to go off of. Any time he turned to look at it, however, it was gone, almost like nothing had been there in the first to ignore the fear that was steadily invading his system, he continued walking, hoping that maybe it was just the shadows playing tricks on him.
A slight rustling in the leaves above him caused Jay to look up, and it was then that he finally got a glimpse of whatever was following him. It moved to fast for him to make out any details, but it was definitely humanoid, and he definitely wouldn't be getting the image of glowing red eyes staring down at him out of his head any time soon.
Maybe if he ran he might be able to outrun these things, though they did seem to be able to move pretty quickly. There weren't really any other options, and with the sun sinking below the horizon in the difference, he didn't have much daylight left. He was just about to run off in a full sprint when he spotted something behind a couple of trees further down the path. At first he though it might of been another one of those creatures, ready to pounce on him when he got over there, but then realized whatever it was to big for that. Glancing back once more, he walked forward so he could get a good view of whatever it was.
A large abandoned building stood there, looking about as old and unused as the path he was currently on. It didn't seem like it would be a very good place to spend the night, given all the broken walls and the fact the door looked about ready to fall off, and just the general creepy feeling he got from it. For a second he could of sworn that there was someone standing in one of the windows, but then they was gone, and he was left wondering if he really was seeing things now.
A soft rustling sound caused him to quickly force any thoughts about the figure out of his mind. This place wouldn't be able to keep him safe from those things, so it was best if he kept moving.
The building was just out of sight when the sun finally disappeared, leaving the forest with only the weak light from the thin crescent moon hanging in the sky, little of which actually made it to the ground. A loud screech filled the air, and Jay took off, completely forgetting about the path, not that he could really see anything now anyways, and darting into the woods.
It felt like he had been running forever, though it was probably closer to a few minutes when he came upon a clearing. He paused at the edge, not sure if he should take the risk of going out in the open. Hearing the sounds of something running towards him helped him to quickly make a decision, and he started running again, not daring to look back to see how close they where.
It took all of Jay's willpower not to scream when one of the creatures jumped in front of him, finally revealing what sort of monster had been following him. Ghostly pale skin, blood red eyes that looked as if they belonged to the devil itself, and he definitely couldn't miss the pair of long, needle sharp fangs sticking out of it's mouth, ready to insert themselves into his neck and drain all his blood.
Looking around, the teen could see that he was now completely surrounded by a family of forest dwelling vampires. All glaring at him with glowing eyes and bared fangs.
